Avoid taking any gigs from EC Brands through YoungOnes, they do not pay on time.
This is a follow-up to the complaint I submitted last week regarding the companies EC BRANDS and Young Ones.
The invoice due date has been overdue since January 7th. The fact that the company only paid Youngones on Saturday, January 24th, demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and respect. Paying late without any form of interest or compensation is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by a platform that claims to protect freelancers.
What is even more concerning is Youngones response. Advising me that “it is my responsibility as a freelancer” and that you have merely “sent a warning” to the company is an admission of how little accountability your platform is willing to take. A warning has no real consequences, does not prevent repeated behavior, and offers no protection to freelancers who rely on your service in good faith.
You market your app as a safe environment to connect freelancers with reliable companies. However, when companies fail to meet their most basic obligation (paying on time) you take no meaningful action. This raises serious questions about the credibility of your platform and the value you claim to provide.

While we’re glad to confirm that payment has since been completed, we recognize that delays like this fall short of the standards freelancers should expect. Your point about accountability is heard. We actively monitor payment behaviour on our platform, and repeated late payments by companies can lead to further actions beyond warnings.
That said, we also want to be transparent about our role. As a platform, we facilitate connections and payments, but freelancers and companies ultimately operate under independent agreements. Even so, we take reports like yours seriously and use them to improve our policies and enforcement processes.
We appreciate you holding us to a high standard, feedback like this helps us continue improving how we protect and support our freelancer community.

They don’t check if the clients phones are working , and they can’t help with anything but telling you contact the client directly
