Visited the Leeds store on Saturday with my wife and the young lady inside greeted us warmly, was very knowledgeable about the soaps. I like Sandalwood and we chatted about how the shop had been rearranged since our last visit. She was lovely and polite, we also bought two soap dishes and a sturdy bag to carry everything in. First class service, she deserves a raise! A real pleasure to shop there.

I love this shop anyway as everyone's always friendly and the products Are stunning. But they went above and beyond today. I had paid for parking and was stood outside the Beverley shop waiting for it to open (9.30) a lady came out and asked if I was aware of the opening time. I explained my son loves the bath bombs and I had to get back to the car for parking before it ran out...so she let me in quickly to buy my bath bomb. How kind. Thank you! I of course will return x

This shop was so fun and beautiful! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend a visit if you like novelty or beautiful toiletries!

The most beautiful products and excellent customer service. Online orders are packed carefully and dispatched quickly. I simply cannot be without a YSC soap in my bathroom

Bought a 'magical gift' from the Society of Alchemists range online - a very tiny Nightmare before Christmas music box as a stocking filler and it came in a white box. I had previously 'unknowingly' purchased a Special Edition music box which came in a black keepsake gift box for display. Apparently the Classic music boxes come in a little plastic bag inside a basic white cardboard box, with label stuck on and not printed on like the Special limited Edition version. However, it was well packed in a larger postal box to arrive safely. I was disappointed comparing it with the limited edition version but it is too near to Christmas to do anything about it now. They do have some lovely, unusual gifts in store and I will return.

I bought these as a gift for my granddaughter for Christmas.
They arrived on time and they smelled gorgeous.
Have to say the decorations were a bit disappointing 😞

It's always a strange experience, we went today to return and get a refund for an item (wrong thing bought, was told could return if this was case), shop assistants don't know how to do refunds onto card, so an exchange instead. Got a few different products adding up to almost cost, went to exchange and after the possibly slowest serving experience just needed to spend 75p (would have just left this tbh) so one gift box! Away we go! On the plus side, didn't have to swap the item (perfume) for correct one as bought it online in the sale :)
Got some already on sale halloween soaps as well which are cool and stuff we wouldn't normally get, since couldn't get the money refund

Maybe some training on how to handle refunds on the off chance it happens again? Well done ladies for handling half term madness

Our first visit to the York shop.I was given all the advice I needed. The shop was beautiful staff helpful and friendly. Definitely will try more products. The Immaginarium shop next door was a wonderful place, products were so quirky. The staff went above and beyond to help us. Both shops were a wonderful first experience. Definitely my go to shops next visit to York.

We had a wonderful visit in summer holidays and came out with a bag of goodies. Recently been hit with an awful cold and remembered i had a box of “ RENEW & BREATHE SHOWER STEAMERS” and they are huge. I am by nature what i could be accused of being a “skinflint” so tonight i fetched out a steamer broke it into 4 and enjoyed a steamy shower and being able to smell the oils was amazing. Definitely will be saving the other 3 pucks for future use and the other quarters of this for use in the coming days. I see a lot of christmas
gifts being sourced from here. Do wish they did a variety pack with each sent to try. Still have the liquorice soap to unwrap soon :)

Really sad to see that the size of the 'Bath Bombs' has been reduced significantly since last ordereing. Also concerned that some have been double wrapped in plastic.

I was gifted the beautiful cupcake bath bombs. Unfortunately, due to the greasy residue in the water, once they've "melted," not only is the bathwater oily, this transfers to the bath tub itself and I nearly broke my neck, slipping, getting out of the bath. Not sure what could be done about this, as I'm guessing it's because the bath bombs are "moisturising."
Update: Fabulous customer service. My review was responded to quickly and comments taken on board. Having said that, I have to take responsibility, as it quite clearly says on the packaging that the items are coco butter and care should be taken. Lesson learned by self, read the packaging!
The products are beautiful and I certainly will be purchasing something more suitable for myself, from the Yorkshire Soap Company, very soon.

My Christmas candle has just this minute burned down. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed using it over the last 5 weeks. What I would call a quality experience. It has burned completely down! Not a scrap left. This is rare for candles in jars but it is typical of the type of great product that Yorkshire Soap co. sell. I'll have to get myself organised and make another trip to the Beverley shop to replace it.

Always order from here when I have extra money or gifts to get. Fantastic products. Fast delivery and just lovely products. Always recommend

This shop is my absolute favourite shop of all time! I discovered it when I was in York quite a few years ago. I think it was the first day it had opened. I loved the gifts I bought and they were received with the same enthusiasm. Since then I have bought on-line. Then last week we stayed in Harrogate & to my delight came across the shop again. The staff in the shop were amazing spent so much time with me going through all their products. Letting me test the smells out. The assistant was so patient & could tell she loved her job. I came out with 3 bags some for myself & some for presents. It made me feel special & just loved the experience. Having used the hair shampoo bar & conditioner will now not want to use anything else so will definately continue to buy on-line as sadly there is not a shop near where I live. I cannot recommend this shop enough. The packaging is great too & the prices are affordable.

What an amazing store, visited the store in Harrogate on a trip away this week, absolutely amazing. The soaps are so unique, and the various scents beautiful, and the packaging offered, free of charge, puts these products in a different league. As important the staff were all so friendly, helpful and not pushy for a sale. My friend and I will definitely visit again and purchase. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing! As soon as you walk in, it's almost as if you're in another world. Everything looks and smells so pretty, and for a shop that looks quite fancy, the products are relatively well priced!! The staff were also so friendly and efficient. They package what you buy so nicely as well. Would definitely visit again if I ever go back to York

I visited today to buy a gift at the York Blake Street branch and Phoebe served me at the counter! She was so friendly and helpful when I asked her about the products and how long they last, being helped by super stars like Phoebe makes my day and this is why I always look forward to visiting the York branch when I visit York city!
