Used Yolla while travelling in Australia to contact UK travel agent to re arrange flights home avoiding Dubai. I was using Saily esim so only had data. Having Yolla made calling UK easy.

Doesn't work locally in Ireland
Bought credit but can't call any Irish numbers, keeps saying they can't route. Completely pointless.

They have since refunded my purchase and tried to resolve the issue.
Its not clear that this isn't something they can support but they've worked hard to resolve it as best they can.
So support has been helpful, Im guessing the app works well for international calls, I don't have a need right now to test that.

The issue may occur due to restrictions set by local Irish operators. Calls from Irish numbers to other Irish numbers — especially when both parties are in Ireland — may be blocked by operators as an anti-fraud measure.
Yolla is primarily designed for international calls.
May we ask why you need to call Irish numbers while located in Ireland with our app? If this is not the case, there may be workarounds we can suggest.

Yolla can be useful when calling from abroad.
They offer call packages,✅ whereby you can top up say for example $10, & then buy a quantity of minutes with them, for international use!
Just make sure you have good WiFi reception as calls can often get disconnected and put up the volume on your handset before the call.
Not bad, and a lot cheaper than being ripped off by getting calling cards.
(I hope no one disconnects your calls, to eat your credit. This happened to me repeatedly, and I could even **hear** someone doing this on purpose in the background! So, caution).

Great way to stay connected when other apps fail
I’ve been living abroad for 4 years now and Yolla has saved me more than once. Recently, I had a mess with a hotel booking in Armenia — they had no email or chat, so calling their landline with Yolla was literally the only way to fix it. I got through instantly and the quality was perfect. I also use Yolla to call my family back home when their WhatsApp or Telegram calls get blocked by local restrictions. I’ve been using Yolla not only for international calls, but also Yolla eSIM while traveling in Greece and Turkey. Everything worked perfectly.
The calls are clear, and the eSIM was super convenient. No worries about connection and stable internet throughout my trip for a reasonable price which was clear long before the trip!

The sound quality is very bad. I have my phone volume as high as it will go. Even with this I find it necessary to hold the phone to my ear during overseas calls.

I moved to another country a few years ago and rented out my apartment back home. Everything was fine until one day the tenant found a massive overdue bill. I’m someone who always pays on time, so this was a nightmare. I tried emailing the management company, posting in online neighborhood chats, and even asking my mom to go there in person, but nothing worked. That’s when Yolla came to the rescue. I used Yolla to call the building management company (costing only a small amount), kept my original number so they knew it was me, and sorted everything out. That small but important feature saved me so much confusion and stress. Yolla is a lifesaver!

Affordable calls to landlines
I left my hometown 15 years ago, and staying connected with my family has always been part of my routine.
But two years ago, when I moved to another country, things became more complicated. My elderly grandmother doesn’t use the internet or a smartphone — she relies on a landline. I could only talk to her when my mom visited her and had internet access.
Recently, my mom and I went on vacation. While abroad, our roaming didn’t work, and we couldn’t check on grandma. That’s when we found Yolla.
I called my grandmother, and she wasn’t feeling well. We immediately asked my mom’s friend to stop by and check on her. Thankfully, everything turned out fine - she had simply forgotten to take her medication.
The connection quality was excellent, and the rates are more than affordable. Yolla is now my go-to solution for these kinds of important calls. Thank you!

Great app
I actually started using Yolla by accident. I needed to contact a bank in another country, and the only number available was a landline. Messaging apps weren’t an option — and that’s how I discovered Yolla.
Since then, it has become my main way of staying in touch with relatives. Some of them don’t always have internet access or simply don’t use messaging apps. Especially when I just want to call my grandma — I don’t have to explain how to install something or guide her through new technology. She just answers the phone. She needs attention, and I need a simple way to give it.
I’ve never had issues with call quality — it’s always been clear and stable. I also like that Yolla offers promo codes around holidays and lets you track prices for different packages. But even without discounts, the calls are reasonably priced. I’m happy to pay for the convenience and the ability to reach my loved ones without complications.
