Unprofessional Experience

I registered for summer camp on 05/24/2024 for the upcoming week (06/03 - 06/07). Upon submitting they payment, it said pending. It normally goes through. I had never seen that before. I called my bank to confirm that payment was withdrew from my account. It was confirmed. I called the YMCA to see if the payment was in the system. The rep told me that he would enter a note in case of any issues. The payment posted to my bank on 05/25. After realizing that I did not receive a welcome email. I called YMCA on 06/03 to resolve the issue. I spoke with a CSR and a supervisor. I was told that I randomly made a payment to the account. Also, that the registration wasn't complete. When asked why didn't the rep that entered notes on my account see that or what questions weren't answered, no explanation was given. I asked why would I make a payment and not enroll in a program if I am not a member. Nothing made sense. Instead of investigating the possibilities of what could have happened, I received attitude. She raised her voice and asked " what do you want me to do." It was very unprofessional!!! I ultimately requested a refund. My child will NOT attend YMCA summer camp. I have never felt so insulted in my life.

Sauna is frequently closed at Schilling…

Sauna is frequently closed at Schilling Farms in Collierville. The sauna is an integral part of a workout and provides cardiovascular benefits similar to aerobic exercise for those with physical limitations. We are told it is because they do not have lifeguards. Members do not get a reduction of membership fees for loss of amenities. A lifeguard is unnecessary for a sauna. They frequently have 2 or 3 associates who can accommodate members while keeping the pool closed. Alternatively, A crash bar can be installed and video camera...or just increase the pay from $9.50 an hour to attract adults who don't go to school for that position.
