Continues to be excellent!

Ordered otoro, salmon belly, eel, rice, tamago, and a couple of other items. All was excellent.

It would be helpful to include directions for making sushi rice. I found a recipe on the website, but it took some hunting to find it.

We had a great dinner and the next day left-overs were excellent. We have ordered from Yama before, and we will continue to order from Yama!!

Everything arrived frozen

Everything arrived frozen, I messaged customer service immediately but no response. This is the second time this has happened. I don't think I'll order from this company again.

Purchased this for my parents who have…

Purchased this for my parents who have been having a tough time buying whole bass locally on the east coast. They loved how it was packaged, arrived, and how fresh it tasted. I will definitely be purchasing more for them.

As a courtesy, we already issued a full refund for the Bluefin O-Toro, even without photo documentation.

Great service

Great service. Dry ice has half melted but the fish and seafoods are intact. High quality sashimi better than many competitors.

food poisoning from Urchin

Yama seafood tried to flag my review but was unsuccessful (of course, I’m telling the truth). I was totally scammed by the good reviews. It seems that this store is trying to hide all the bad reviews by flagging them to the platform.

food poisoning from Urchin, asked for return from Original Payment method but no response and they only returned via store credits, there were things in my purchase out of stock but I received no notification, received sashimi grade salmon with blood, but it’s after 24 hours within receiving the item so they won’t refund. Never ever ever coming back.

After reviewing your account, store credit was issued in July 2025 with your accepted for the reported items Uni and was successfully used store credits for orders placed in September 2025 and January 2026. As the issue was already resolved and the credit fully used, we’re unable to issue an additional refund to the original payment method from July 2025's order.

We also confirmed that no items were missing from all of orders. All of our salmon is sashimi-grade, handled under strict food-safety standards, and safe to consume raw.
