Francis was a great help throughout what turned out to be a very stressful chain. He was always patient, quick to respond, and happy to speak on the phone when needed rather than relying only on email... See more

Awful
Very very slow. Spelt our names wrong on multiple important documents which we had to chase in our house sale.
Made the selling of my old house and buying of our new house absolute hell.
Avoid John Charcol, they recommended these crooks
Was recommended this dodgy firm by brokers John Charcol. Both John Charcol and XYZ are corrupt and complicit in cover up.
XYZ is now closed down, but I would advise not to touch John Charcol with a barge pole.
Slow, useless
They were slow, useless, made the buying process of my house stressful. During the w whole process I did pretty much all of their work for them. They tried charging me for an environmental flood survey rather than sending a few emails. I sent those emails and then it wasn't needed. They charge loads more for things that were ambiguous or I thought would count as one charge. Literally doubled the price. Some things they could've made much clearer and warned me about. In the end they never filled paperwork they should've. I ended up being the lawyer and contacting the land registry and sending the right forms to get my house registered. They literally put me at risk of fraud and losing my house from not registering it properly and doing their job properly. Nearly lost out on buying the house as they were so slow. Lost out on compensation from the sellers who f didn't fulfill their obligations left loads of rubbish and didn't leave this they said they would and damaged the house in multiple ways. I didn't bother waiting to get an answer to some easy enough to answer be questions as I knew delaying might mean losing the house.
Just more hassle, time, and financial cost , and paperwork they should've done as the solicitor than it needed to be.
Not surprised they got closed down by the SRA tbh.
And I'm glad they did otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't have found out I wasn't registered properly. It was by receiving my file from the interim people I saw their mess and rubbish work, that I, as someone with 0 law experience except a 5 credit module at university, had to fix. It's not great when you make a better lawyer than the lawyers.
We have just been informed from land…
We have just been informed from land registration that they haven’t been changed we have been in house 2 yrs in feb ,had to find new solicitor to sort something out we had already paid for unbelievable, who can you trust these days
Unscrupulous Billing
Unscrupulous Billing
Not surprised they have been CLOSED by SRA
As ignorant nervous first time buyer (No stamp Duty) instructed them to purchase £235K home.
Zulaikhah Ahmed was junior solicitor who handled the legal side reasonably competently, but I could never contact her by phone.
Initial (Unscrupulous) Bill sent by her for was c. £4000+ which caused shock and upset and included items not done. Finally negotiated to c. £2360 !!
A disgrace to the legal profession
Thankfully this company has now been closed down by the SRA (Solicitors Regulatory Authority). In September 2024 XYZ, via one of their solicitors', Mr. Abel XYZ were instructed to carry out transfers of title on four properties. On 14 August 2025 they were closed down. This we discovered on the 20 September by us, with no knowing of the status of the properties concerned. There was a lack communication throughout and no acknowledgement to correspondence, with wrong information given.
Awful experience with this company…
Awful experience with this company which almost led to me having a breakdown. Glad they have been closed down.
Terrible and glad they have collapsed

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Endless issues from start to finish. Zubair Manga in particular, an absolute disgraceful solicitor. I have still not received my land registry document after moving into my house in FEBRUARY 2024. I have chased for months on end only to now find the company has closed. This doesn’t surprise me. I spoke to the company director Anis who compensated us with a few hundred quid if we wouldn’t escalate the complaint further. Disgraceful company, should have been shut down a long time ago.
My experience with XYZ Law was awfull…
My experience with XYZ Law was awfull as they stole money from me and hadn't returned it. As well as that, they did not inform me of it being permanently closed.
Speedy Service
Me & my partner have just bought our first home with the help of Honey Shakeri and were able to purchase our home in under 10 weeks. Speedy service & good communication from Honey 😊.
Fantastic service received
Mohammad N. was the solicitor who handled our house purchase and we couldn’t be happier with the work he did.
Mohammad quickly earned our trust with his kind manner and prompt replies to every email we sent. We felt that someone had our back through the whole process which was so valuable for us as first time buyers.
Would highly recommend XYZ Law especially Mohammad who is a credit to the company.

Honey Shakeri was our contact and she did a brilliant job, she was very helpful and got back to us quickly, whenever we had a question.

Would recommend
XYZ were the cheapest on a quote site but also had good reviews so I gave them a go as I purchased my flat.
Clear and concise communication at all times from my solicitor Naeema.
No issues at all throughout the process and that included having to change purchase property. Quote was also stuck to.
Save yourself some money and instruct these guys :)
