More red flags than the Chinese army 🚩🚩

More red flags than the Chinese army 🚩🚩

Side note- to a certain class instructer I've seen over there (j). When you give me dirty looks and square up I just hear the village people macho man in my head🤠. Do you even get sacked from JD bro 😘☕️

Your mate knows what he did- hint violent 🍇 "jokes" and the rest ...he's being dishonest to run from the shame. Baffling. ❌️🚩🚫

Serious privacy concerns. There's cameras in the changing room and near the sauna. This gym have since been dishonest about that despite me seeing them in person with my actual eyes.

See-Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR). Note, ICO guidance clearly says BOTH the sauna and the changing room are considered serious privacy violations.

I've also specifically asked as per right to erasure for them to delete all illegally obtained cctv data. They didn't even acknowledge that part. Case with regulators (ICO) ongoing...

Founders club
When I got the email to sign up I vaguely remember seeing the regular price would be 42.99 ish.
"Welcome to the XF Founders Club.
Claim within 48 hours to lock our best launch price" .Within weeks of opening they’ve obviously reconsidered, because it's not doing well as per my eyes and put it down to £34.99 per month. Mine is also £34.99 on the "founders club".

"It’s now or never.. this price again!
Expires in 24 HOURS!
You’re invited."
"It’s now, now, not or never.. this price again!" (Pardon?!)

Except, it literally is this price again isn't it?!

"Opening Week perks including exclusive merch!"
None of that happened. I see zero benefit of being in the founders club. I also noticed that my account under membership has changed from premium founder to just premium. It looks as though it's quietly been dropped with zero communication. Sounds about right.

You are not allowed to mislead consumers in this manner. See- Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and Consumer Protection Act 1987 specifically Part III which created criminal offences for businesses giving misleading price indications, covering goods, services, and accommodation.

I genuinely feel like I've been scammed. Report has gone to trading standards via Citizens Advice Consumer Service and I got my money back through alternative means 😋

Entry/exit barriers -From day one my account has been a nonfunctional mess. I didn't receive emails with links to the apps when it opened nor the other one to book beds etc.  Nearly always the barriers don't work on the way in/out. I've had the same conversation now at least 20 times. Is your Bluetooth on...is your WiFi on....ill put a note on the account. No follow up or communication. She did provide me with a access braclet in an attempt to help. Unsurprisingly that doesn't work either. I keep getting bombarded with "door access granted" emails also whilst simultaneously not giving me access. I've been trapped in rooms 3 times now...

Massage beds- they weren't working for weeks despite paying extra for them. No refund no communication nada. There not even good lol!

The gear itself- the cable attachments where smart, ill give them that. However, other gyms nearby have the same plate loaded gear. COUNCIL gyms have the same pin loaded gear. It's not as fancy as they want you to believe. For example, it took me two weeks to start maxing out machines..🥦

Staff- they lost several members of staff early including the manager.

Honestly it's all giving amateur vibes and making me wonder what else isn't as it should be. All of the above could have very easily been resolved with simple honest and open communication. Instead you chose dishonesty, zero communication and questionable morals.

Glad to be away from it and happy as pie in a non commercial independent spectacular proper lifters gym crank free with zero issues.

Statement of fact is a complete defence 😉 ⚖️
