Zzounds is great for no credit musicians.

These negative reviews make me question the reviewers. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of equipment over the past 4 or 5 years. Close to $8,000. Guitars, keys, basses, speakers, mics and lots of effects and processors. Never had any issues, and I'm constantly looking at the site for the next purchase. Their return policy is great. All the equipment arrived on time (don't count Sundays - Fed Ex) and in great condition. I recommend them to everyone.

Pay everything on time

Pay everything on time. Go to make a purchase and they've lowered my limit from 3k to 1.5k. Never missed a payment. Way to punish good customers.

Buyer Beware! Stay clear of this company

This is a "shiesty", "fly-by-night" outfit that should be avoided at all costs. Their customer service is non-existent, and they do not answer Emails. And, they will never resolve any disputes, or honor exchanges.
I recently purchased a set of Seymour Duncan "Texas Hot" Antiquity series pick ups for a Fender Stratocaster that were advertised as "new", but "warehouse resealed". Upon taking this set to a local luthier, he found that the neck pick up was not only defective and didn't work, but "used"! Zzounds did knowingly and purposely sell a set of used pick ups as new! This seems to be a recurring business practice by this company, as attested to in all of their negative consumer surveys. I wish I had researched this company and read those reviews prior to my dealings with this disreputable store. I hope this review prevents someone else from having to go through the same grievances.

All of these bad reviews claim false things…

All of these bad reviews claim false things and this and that, truthfully I've never had a single issue with ZZSounds and I've spent over $1500 with them. If you're late to a payment, simply shoot them an email and they'll get you sorted out easily. They have never attempted a "random" charge and their support is honestly amazing. Highly recommend them if you need gear but you're on a tight budget.

I read some of the bad reviews,. I was surprised. Of course I can only speak from my experience. I have instruments in my home that only Zzounds could make that happen. I have very seldom had money left at the end of the month to pay cash for a high end guitar. Because of Zzounds and the very generous payment plans, I feel tremendously blessed. About bad reviews concerning Zzounds. I have no idea why they did not meet the criteria for payments. I ordered for years and truly happy. Great return policy. I don't know. I would say don't bad mouth. Call the friendly folks at Zzounds. They have an 800 number on their site.

16 yrs of great service.

Been buying from them for 16 yrs, never an issue. Their payment plans are great and they ship fast. Remember, customers who are pleased, won't generally leave reviews. The unhappy and impatient ones leave the bad reviews. Their low score is not indicative of the overall service. If the millions who never had an issue posted 4 and 5 stars, you'd buy from them without hesitation correct? Don't trust trust pilot, oh the irony...

Let's start with the false and…

Let's start with the false and misleading advertisement. They don't tell you that you need a nice amount of purchase history, they wouldn't even say how much you really need at all. They did suggest things for me to buy that didn't even help my chances of getting approved for the NO CREDIT CHECK PAYMENT PLAN. They told me that it's a new policy that you buy a lot first before they will budget u any equipment. I even tried cheaper things kuz all I wanted at first was the MPC one plus. Roughly 699.00. They're not disclosing this stuff up front. Misleading and trash people

This company discriminates good customers!

This company does what they want, I purchased few thousand $$$$ dollars worth of products under payment plan and paid them off without any issues and then my other family member purchased some, instead of treating us as trust worthy customers, they limit our 2 separate accounts at different addresses with same last name but different first names and consider them as one, limiting the amount of goods we can purchase under payment plan, I've asked them to show me their policy where does it say this, they just showed me the policy where it's saying they can do whatever they want at any time as they see fit, very good explanation, they have no idea how to run their business and treat good customers, they willing to lose them on the basis of nothing, supervisers are as dumb as any employee there, instead of resolving the issue and keeping the customer they'll just get rid of you, company that doesn't care about their customers can't be on the market for very long. Don't buy from them, rather buy from company that doesn't discriminate based on the same last name.

Thank you Zzounds!

I have spent thousands of dollars with Zzounds utilizing their All Access Pass payment program. I have had nothing but exceptional customer service and have never had any problems with any of my purchases. Granted, sometimes the delivery is a day later than what is stated at the time of purchase but I blame that on FedEx, not Zzounds. I dare anybody to find another company that will let you purchase a Gibson Les Paul or a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and let you do it with 12 monthly payments and zero interest.

Excellent customer service

Bought a speaker from them that was a scratch and dent for an amazing price. It ended up that one of the woofers wasn't working and I didn't discover it until just outside of their return window. Not only did they take it back for a full refund without hassles, but they covered the shipping both ways! Stuff happens (rock n roll, right?) but a good company stands behind their products and I super appreciate that. I will buy from them again.

Worst online shopping experience ever

Worst online shopping experience ever! I bought a drum kit that was discounted as it was a zzounds return. When I received the kit it was missing drum legs and mounts that were never packed from Zzounds. When I called they told me it was the up to the manufacturer to make it right even though they just didn’t pack the items on their end. I asked them to send me a simple mount and legs until the manufacturer fixed the issues and they told me no, it’s not their problem. After arguing my case the “CSR” hung up on me. This is what I get after spending over 3000.00 with them. Fools lost a customer that just spent thousands of dollars because they wouldn’t send me 80 dollars worth of hardware due to their negligence! Needless to say I’ll never shop with these bottom feeders again and have since put in a complaint with the BBB. Stay clear of these crooks!

Everything is always out of stock

Everything is always out of stock. They say “place your order and you won’t be charged until it ships”. Who the heck would order anything like that, not knowing when your card will randomly be charged once the item does come back in stock?

Also, as others have stated, their 1 day shipping is misleading. I’ve even paid out the nose for their “next day air delivery” and never has the order arrived on time.
