An absolute pleasure to deal with

An absolute pleasure to deal with Kai and Harrison from start to finish.
I was reached out to on Indeed, and once I responded, a very professional and enjoyable relationship has continued.
Interviews were arranged with ease and the communication at every point was very thorough. Interview coaching was provided and any nerves were dispelled.
Negotiations on a job offer were also extremely well handled.
I would strongly recommend these guys for your recruiting needs, whether you are a job seeker or are looking to fill an open position. I have dealt with a number of agencies in my 30 year career, but these lads stand out for me.

Don't trust them

I was contacted by a member of the UK Zenopa team via LinkedIn as my skills matched a position they were advertising.

I discussed the role with the account manager JamesD and subsequently was put forward to the client and had a first stage interview with the hiring manager over a zoom call.

It went well and James contacted me to let me know I was being invited to a second interview at the clients offices which were over 300 miles away. I asked if the client was paying travelling expenses and James confirmed they were and that I should travel on the Sunday and stay overnight as the interview was set for 9am the following day.

The client had 2 offices close to each other and as the address I was given by James was for a much smaller office that looked derelict on Google Maps rather than the actual Head Office which was the other site I queried it with him a few days beforehand. He assured me he had placed other people with this client and that was definitely the correct address.

I arrived early as I always do for interviews and staff in the office told me it was the wrong location and I needed to be at the main office so I had to get back in the car and drive as quickly as I could to the other office, arriving just a couple of minutes before 9am.

I then discovered that it wasn't going to be the 1 to 1 interview I had expected and prepared for and there were several other candidates there for the same role. It was one of the most uncomfortable interview processes I have ever been involved with mainly due to it being sprung as a complete surprise - speaking to some of the others from different agencies and one person also sent by JamesD they had been properly briefed on what to expect.

I was unsuccessful and didn't get the job, I then spent over 2 months going backwards and forwards with James trying to get the travel expenses reimbursed with no success just repeatedly fobbed off with things like it's been approved and should be paid soon, other candidates have usually been paid around a month after the interview etc.

When I hadn't received any payment after 2 months I contacted JamesD again and told him I was considering raising a claim against the client via the small claims court system. He said he would speak to the client again and find out what the problem was.

When he called me back a few hours later he apologized and said that there wasn't actually an agreement in place with the client to cover candidates expenses but that Zenopa would pay the expenses as a goodwill gesture.

I've received a payment for the travel but not for the hotel. This is the worst recruitment agency I have ever dealt with and I certainly won't be using them again.
