Greenwashing and Greed!
Deceptive marketing, fake gifts, overpriced products – never again!
I feel extremely disappointed and misled by Yves Rocher. I recently placed another order, once again falling into their trap of so-called “loyalty gifts.” But this company operates on a foundation of dishonesty masked by fake sustainability and glossy marketing. Their whole philosophy seems to be built around manipulating customers with pretty words and empty promises.
They promote an image of being eco-conscious and generous, but what I experienced was nothing but a greedy, misleading business model. Their "gifts" are not gifts at all — they’re bait. In my most recent order, I was offered a “weekend travel bag” supposedly worth €50, but available to me as a loyal customer for just €5. In the photos, it looked spacious and high quality. In reality? A flimsy, cheap-looking mini bag that I wouldn’t even use for groceries. It was shockingly small and nowhere near what was advertised.
This wasn’t just a one-time issue. Over the years, I’ve noticed the same pattern: exaggerated product descriptions, misleading photos, and synthetic-heavy formulas sold at premium prices under the illusion of being natural and sustainable. Many of their products are full of synthetic perfumes and artificial coloring. There’s nothing clean or green about them.
Their entire marketing feels manipulative — from fake environmental claims to cheap “rewards” that have no real value. They pretend to care about nature and their customers, but it’s just another sales tactic.
This latest experience left such a bitter taste that I finally decided to write this review. I hope it helps others think twice before spending money here. There are many other brands out there that are more transparent, more ethical, and that truly care about quality and sustainability. Yves Rocher is not one of them.
