I am a vulnerable tenant with servere health conditions and disabilities. Today, after a negative experience with a very rude and disrespectful call handeler, who gave me false information, a bad attitude and spoke to me in a very patronising manor, who refused to take my complaint seriously about not being able to access my electric meter when my electric had gone off, I eventually got some actual help and respect from other staff members. Gas engineer James Dyson helped me when I asked him to as I found him on site near my property. He spoke to the rude call handler for me and expressed that it should be logged as an emergency after he looked at the issue I was having with no access to my electric meter. Mr Dyson spoke to me in a very respectful manor, showed understanding to my distress and helped to get the job raised as the emergency it is, after the call handler ignored his advice to do so. I then spoke to customer service staff member Uzma. Uzma was, as Mr Dyson was, very polite, understanding, patient, helpful and spoke to me in a very respectful manor. Both of them were not just good at their job, but good, decent human beings in general. My experience with both these members was helpful not just to the issue at hand, but in being mindful and supportive of my vulnerabilities and level of distress, so as to not cause me further distress and to help calm the distress the previous call handler had caused me.
I would like to personally thank both of them for their assistance and the job was done within the 4 hours that it should of been originally.
Mr Devlin, who was the workman that came to fix the issue, was also very well mannered, understanding and helpful and helped me get my electric back on. The issue has now been resolved in the legally required time, thanks to the three staff members named above.
They all deserve to be acknowledge for doing right, where a lot of your staff are getting wrong. Thank you three, you all did amazing and helped me be able to manage my health condition.
Feedback for Yorkshire housing, some of your staff are disgustingly and shockingly bad at their job and clearly have no customer service skills or knowledge of the actual laws, rules and regulations. They could do with some training from the staff mentioned above, as they got it right, effortlessly. Patronising attitudes from call handlers to customers is actually harmful in a psychological, emotional and physiological way to the customers. Your staff do NOT have a right to cause tenants harm and you as an organisation have a duty of care to ensure this doesn't happen. This needs addressing.

Just recently became a tenant, tenancy sign up was straight forward and the two ladies I dealt with (Mollie and Angie) were so lovely and helpful throughout the process

Staff were friendly when looking through my property and also when I got a message to tell me I got the house after I thought I didn’t. Allowed you to look round the house without looking over you and signing up was quick and easy all relevant documents sent to me the same day

Im in the process of mutual exchange. Yorkshire Housing is trying their hardest to sabotage everything. Their officer gave the approval for the exchange to take place but she never booked an electric check she had two weeks to do this. Now I will probably miss my surgery because because someone couldn’t do their job properly. They have poor communication with their clients, they don’t respect vulnerable customers. It’s a shame

Terrible company, care only for profit not ruining the town they start building in. Inconvenient for anyone who lives anywhere near one of the projects.

Can’t thank Ronnie and Sian enough for such a friendly, welcoming and quick service from showing interest in a property right through to getting a viewing and signing for keys. The process has been completely seamless and efficient. Both Ronnie and Sian have been fantastic and I can’t thank them enough for their support 😊

Our shower stopped working at 10 to 6 last night 18/06/26, I rung Yorkshire housing and got through to a gentleman who was most helpful, said he would put it through as an emergency, and someone would be with us within 4 hours, well the young man was here within the hour, such a lovely young man by the name of Jack, told us what he was going to be doing, and proceeded with the job, couldn’t have wished for better, he finished putting a new shower in, tidied and cleaned up afterwards, and you wouldn’t have known he had been there, so extremely happy with the job he did. Highly recommend. First class service

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, fantastic customer service from start to finish. Viewed the property and got the keys the same day. I was shown around by a lovely woman called Subhana who was just brilliant. She went through everything I needed to know and advised me through out the process. Thank you so much

It was such a quick turnaround from firstly showing an interest in a flat to actually receiving the keys.
The phone call from Ronnie to do my assessment was professional yet relaxed. Then going to see the flat & meeting Karen who went through everything with me was again professional yet relaxed, then to be given the key's there & then was a magical moment. I cannot believe how welcoming they've been. Well done Yorkshire Housing definitely worth 5 star's.

My partner used to work for this company, in the customer service experience department. He suffered a mental health break down 18 months ago, whilst he was working for you and this company did absolutely nothing to support him! 18 months down the line, he is still suffering with his mental health and hasn't worked in employment. So whoever is reading this, I just want you to know that, your ex employee, is still suffering with a mental health break down. You need to know this, because you need to do more to support your employees. My parter is lucky he has a good family support system around him, because someone else who doesn't may not be so lucky and may continue to take their own life, because you as a company are disgusting. This will be going to the national newspaper and we are perusing solicitors against Yorkshire Housing. The sad thing is, your website says you are in support of Andy's Man Club. Reading that was like reading fraud. You talk the talk, but you certainly do not walk it, or even close. If my partner had of taken his own life, I would be making sure this company gets shut down immediately and it would be in every news paper and news channel in the country. Think about what you are doing, and think about things on a human being level. Not a stat or process, procedure. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!
