I decided to consign an item with Xupes around April of 2022. In order to consign with Xupes, I was asked to provide a copy of my ID and my bank statement via email, which I found odd as none of the other consignment shops I’d consigned with had asked for either of these documents, let alone to share them via email. Nonetheless, I complied and consigned my item with them. Around March 1st of 2023, almost a full year without any communication from Xupes, I noticed on their website that my item had been sold; but since I wasn’t sure exactly when the sale took place, I decided to give them some time. Three weeks later, I get an email (from a different representative to the one I’d previously spoken to) notifying me of the sale and asking for my ID and bank statement—yet again—with no explanation as to why they required the files to be sent a second time. The representative should’ve confirmed that the existing information I’d provided was still accurate instead of asking for the files again. Nevertheless, I sent them my ID and bank statement a second time. At this point, the Xupes representative had told me that they would pay me in “approximately 15 days.” Almost a month later, I was finally paid. There was no email confirming they had completed the transaction (even Vestiaire Collective does this) and there was, of course, no apology for the delay.
TL;DR: I gave them 30% of my item’s sale just to receive lousy customer service and a late payment in return. You’re better off selling your designer items on The RealReal, etc. Shame.

In order for us to process payments, we do require an ID and bank statement header from within the past 6 months to ensure the account details we have are up to date and conform with our secure payment process.
