I bought a yearly Gold package in a deal and never regretted it. There were no problems: the servers were always working when I needed it, Retention is great, Articles are generally complete.

Used to be a customer since 2009, bought a Black Friday "lifetime discount" in 2020.

Now just three years later, the price was supposed to go up by 67% - "with careful consideration".

When I signed up for the deal, it said
"This is also a lifetime discount, which means you’ll have this plan at this price for as long as you continue to be an active XLned user."

Pretty much everybody can see how that... does not look like what they promised?

Thus, one loyal customer of 14 years less to worry about for them.

Used to be an excellent news server. But that was back when they had customer service. Their customer service no longer responds (even to paid customers). I have been trying to renew my account for three weeks - visiting their website every few days. Each time I log in to the website and follow the directions, each time the website displays its prepared screen saying an error has occurred and to contact support. Each time I email Xlned support at the email address provided. After they ignored the first email, I have also been using the Contact Support form on their website AND sending them an email each time. It has been three weeks and they still cannot be bothered responding. I'm not sure there even is anyone in their so-called support operation.

I paid to extend my subsciption by a year.
They did not extend
they do not respond to message adressed to helpdesk.
I never met a Dutch that don't speak english.
I think they just are crooks.
