Just avoid. Unprofessional and unhelpful

I tried to book a Wynwood House apartment in Madrid from Portugal, and the experience was a mess from start to finish. The website repeatedly blocked my booking with an “invalid phone number” error, even though my number was correct. At no point did the site clearly state the real issue: a 10‑night minimum stay for the property. Instead, it hid behind a misleading error message and wasted a lot of my time.

When I contacted Wynwood House on WhatsApp, I dealt with a representative called Samul. Rather than taking ownership or actually resolving the problem, he gave slow, unhelpful responses and only eventually admitted that the real reason I couldn’t book was the 10‑night minimum. By this point I had tried to book around ten times because their system had led me to believe my phone number was the problem, not the stay length.

Samul then suggested an alternative property and sent me another link, which also didn’t work properly. That completely destroyed any remaining confidence I had in their systems. His “solution” after all this was to ask for my email address, passport or ID number, and full name so he could create a manual booking—essentially asking me to hand over sensitive personal details to work around their broken IT. At no stage did I feel genuinely helped, listened to, or respected as a customer.

In the end I gave up and booked with Airbnb instead. This experience showed me a company with unreliable technology, misleading error messages, and a service agent who did the bare minimum while expecting me to keep jumping through hoops. Based on this, I wouldn’t recommend Wynwood House and I have no interest in trying to book with them again.

Massive construction noise and bad costumer service

I had an extremely disappointing experience with B regarding my recent reservation at Arrieta by Wynwood House.

I arrived after a flight expecting to begin a relaxing holiday, only to discover that there is a massive construction site directly next to the apartment. The noise was constant, excessive, and completely unsuitable for any kind of peaceful stay. At no point before arrival was I informed that construction works were taking place beside the property.

Had this been disclosed, I would never have booked the flat. Guests deserve to make an informed decision before committing to accommodation.

I immediately filmed the noise levels as evidence and contacted the company to explain that I could not stay under those conditions. Their response was that the construction was “not their fault” and therefore they would not provide a refund. I found this response extremely unhelpful and dismissive.

It is unacceptable to list a holiday apartment next to a major construction site without warning guests. Transparency is a basic expectation. Instead of supporting me, I was left to argue for my rights after an exhausting travel day.

Very disappointing handling of a situation that should have been resolved fairly and professionally.

Do not do business with these people -- deceptive practices

Do not do business with these people. I booked a Mexico City apt on booking.com. The language was not clear about when I would be billed. I was billed within seconds of making the reservation even though I booked an apartment that had a giant cancellation window (approx 3 months) -- I canceled the reservation on the same day and the charge is still sitting in my account 2 weeks later. I had to dispute the charge to save myself from further aggravation. Had they been clearer about the payment policy I would never have booked in the first place and now I'm left with this mess....

Demolition nightmare in Laureles – no warning, extra costs ignored, late-check-out fee attempted

I booked this apartment in good faith for a short stay. What I found was a full demolition of the entire building directly opposite the front door: jackhammers, falling concrete, and constant deafening noise from early morning until evening. This was never mentioned in the listing, house rules, or any pre-stay message despite Wynwood House being a professional management company.
The noise made remote work and even basic rest impossible, so I had to urgently find and re-book another dog-friendly apartment the same afternoon (18 Nov). That last-minute booking cost me an extra USD $100 compared to Wynwood’s rate.
After I was forced to leave early because of the undisclosed demolition, Wynwood House sent me a late-check-out fee request simply because I returned the access card after 11 a.m. on the day I left. They have since refused to reimburse my additional costs or cancel that unjustified charge.
Airbnb agreed the apartment was not as described and refunded the unused nights, but Wynwood House has taken no responsibility for the real financial loss and stress their lack of disclosure caused.

2nd Positive Wynwood CDMX Experience

This was my second trip to CDMX and my second time using Wynwood. Communication was solid, and the properties are the type of places you want to move into.

On my most recent trip, we rented penthouse #8 in the heart of Roma Norte. Stunning place and the pictures do it no justice! The rooftop terrace is huge, the terrace off the living room is big, and the balcony off the master bedroom is big enough to relax on. The kitchen is nice. The only thing to note is the street noise. When you are high-ish above the street, you hear every honk of every car, and the people of MX are not shy when it comes to testing their car horn as much as possible. This is less of an issue later in the night and early morning, but I wanted to bring it to your attention. Wynwood provides earplugs next to each bed, along with a light-blocking sleep mask.

Unprofessional cancellation by Wynwood House

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with the property "Marina" by Wynwood House in Máncora, Peru, booked through Booking.com.

I made a confirmed reservation well in advance, but days later the property unilaterally canceled it, claiming a "system error" related to their pricing. This excuse was given despite the booking being fully confirmed and paid for. I did not initiate the cancellation, and it left me with very limited alternatives on short notice.

This type of behavior is highly unprofessional and shows a lack of responsibility toward guests. It is unacceptable for a property to confirm a reservation, take payment, and then cancel based on internal pricing issues — that is not the guest's fault.

I am still waiting for the full refund, and hope Booking.com ensures that properties like this are held accountable to avoid similar situations for other travelers.

“Warning: Do Not Stay at Wynwood House properties!

“Warning: Do Not Stay at Wynwood House properties!

We spent several thousand dollars pre-booking a place that was recommended to use from our local agency in Bogota, Colombia, and this so-called ‘boutique hotel’ with apartments all over the city did not deliver on a single promise, least of all the bare minimum of what we paid for.

Upon arrival with our newborn, we endured 17 hours without water – no warning or communication so we could plan ahead, no assistance, and absolutely zero empathy from ‘customer service.’

The apartment is small and sad: dead plants, a stained couch with protruding springs, cheap furniture, empty wall dispensers of soap in the shower, and no air conditioning. The strangest oart, their tram refusing to provide more than one building access key.

For a six-week booking, they offer just one cleaning.

Refunds or compensation? Forget it.

After we complained for hours via WhatsApp, their ‘solution’ was to offer a replacement bottle of soap, a $20 refund, and one free cleaning worth $20 – in other words, a complete insult.

Wynwood House is a nightmare. They don’t care about their guests; they just want your money.

Please be warned. Reading online/Google reviews of the organisation, seems like we aren’t the only ones with such a poor experience.

Controlling

Hello all. I am writing about a very peculiar company that tries to acquire all your info and doesn't function well as a vacation rental solution on Airbnb or other platforms because this company tries to override your preferences with tons of questionable paperwork and restrictive outcomes!!! For instance, they try to tell you you can't have guests at any time - haha! - and can't use communal areas in your apartment rental! With rentals being so competitive, you're better off with a personal touch or hotel! This is a trend
