Pure scam

Pure scam. The UK Advertising Standards Authority ruled that PlanetComputers was misleading customers about the delivery dates of their Astro Slide 5G. They continued to receive payment for phones that they had no way of delivering. I bought a phone in June 2022, and it is now January 2026 and never had any correspondence or refund offer.

Battery death

If you don't constantly charge the battery, it dies and you have to have it replaced £95.00 - then that one died.

Astro Slide Indiegogo Scam

Astro Slide Indiegogo Scam
I have been waiting for the delivery of my Astro Slide since 2022. The Indiegogo campaign has long since been closed and Planet Computers has not been updating backers since 2023 while still taking preorders in their own store. This company is a scam, stay away.

They will take your money in a flash on the promise that the product is in stock and will be shipped next day.
Following several emails requesting delivery dates, after two months they informed me that the product was in Hong Kong and would be delivered in due course.
Submitted a Section 75 claim and was reimbursed after months of non delivery.
Buyer beware, this is a totally dysfunctional Company.

planet computers, worst shop ever

We bought a phone for 1000 € like 2 years ago, in September the battery gave up, so they asked me to send the phone back, it’s my uncles phone, he lives in Hungary, so he sent the phone back to the UK, for a battery change.
Months gone by and it became more and more difficult to contact them via email or phone. In February my uncle asked for my help, to get in touch with Planet computers, as they seemed to be disappearing with his phone.
Weeks of calling them, never picked up the phone, after a while they blocked my number.Sent couple of emails regarding the phone, and they answered saying they changed the battery and testing the phone, and it will be sent out in a next 24 hours. After this, they went no contact again for weeks, so I contacted Trading standards and made a complaint, the next day they emailed me, that they will send the parcel out the next day, I received the phone in a couple of days.
My uncle is testing it now, but he thinks they haven’t changed the battery at all, it seems to be the same issue with the phone as before we sent it back for nearly 8 month for a battery change , what cost us 126 £, also they failed to provide bank details and force us to use Amazon pay, even if we were asking for bank details several times, and all for nothing.
Very disappointed with this company, they customer service is rubbish, they products are rubbish too!Never get involved with them, you will definitely regret it!

Astro Slide Indiegogo Scam

I have been waiting for the delivery of my Astro Slide since December, 21, 2020. The Indiegogo campaign has long since been closed and Planet Computers has not been updating backers since Jul 18, 2023 while still taking preorders in their own store. This company is a scam, stay away.

Scam company

Scam company. Never trust them.
I have purchased two Geminis, a Cosmo, and pre-ordered an Astro Slide.
Their software support is beyond terrible - they sell a product, and immediately give up supporting the devices meaningfully.
The Astro Slide is nowhere to be seen. Never trust this company for any reason.

I actually bought my Astro Slide via the website and was somehow lucky enough to receive it.... However, one small drop and the screen shattered. I was directed to send it in for repairs.... I did. I never saw that phone or heard from them again lol. I paid $1000 for a device they ended up stealing from me. Can we get a class act going here or??

Terrible communication and unreliable product.

I supported development of the Indiegogo campaign for the Astro Slide. Communication was extremely sparse and poor. In my opinion (and others agree) they broke multiple terms and conditions for campaigns on the Indiegogo site.
After creating the Indiegogo campaign they also created a campaign on Makuake and delivered to those backers before fulfilling perks on Indiegogo.
It also appears they may have sold some units directly instead of fulfilling backers as some sellers have advertised them as having been "bought directly".
Even if I do ever receive my Astro Slide from them, users in the Discord channel have reported numerous issues.

PC is no longer a reliable company

PC is no longer a reliable company, very poor management of the "astro-slide transformers 5G" campaign on Inidiegogo. A real scandal! Communication broken off with all the project's backers, guilty silence from a failed operation.

So many people ripped off, I don't believe the positive reviews

They never delivered, 3 years later, on any of the products I purchase. The most expensive, and the one I was most pleased to purchase was the Astro Slide, and the rest were just accessories for the Astro Slide. I received nothing. I contacted them, and they sent a very garbled, evasive, and somewhat nonsensical reply that seemed to claim they would be sending more phones out soon. That was a very long time ago, and my attempt to contact them again (maybe one month ago) was ignored.

I wonder if the reviews claiming that they received their Astro Slides are actually fake, because the rest of us obviously didn't. And it just doesn't make sense that 10 people got their phones while thousands didn't...?! And you can still order the phone that they can't fulfill previous orders of...?! It's a scam!!!

The first negative experience I have had in a crowdfunding scenario. And very expensive for me. I have gone through maybe 5 cell phones in 20 years and all have cost less than $100, so it feels like I really lost a fortune on the Astro Slide. Makes me hesitant to engage in anyone's Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign in the future.

Scam

Planet used to deliver, even if it was years later than originally promises, but now completely fails to deliver on any of their promises. They collect your money and run away with it. This company has become a scam. Don't invest in any of their crowdfunding projects.

The first phones of planet were okish - good keyboard but no software updates ever. For the Astro there were funds raised on indigogo, but the phone was never delivered. Not even a single update on the crowdfunding platform since 7 monts. Lost all hope that planet will ever deliver something again
