Zero points for customer service and…

Zero points for customer service and personality. Can’t get a refund of nearly $500 on accommodation in Adelaide. Flights canceled due to Covid and got vouchers for them. Wotif never paid the hotel and they don’t charge cancellation fees so where is my money back you morons. Never book through you again.

Worst Customer Service

we booked our trip to Queenstown through Wotif. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't travel and cancelled our booking 5 days in advance
Wolf didn't refund our money (AU 897). We called them and they said the hotel will refund it. How can the hotel return the money when we booked through wotif. There was a clear date of cancellation on the website. The cancellation due date was 31st May and we cancelled it on 27th May
Will never ever trust this site anymore. I will share this as much as possible on social sites to avoid people going through what we going through right now. People are trying to loot people with a covid excuse.

I have been waiting for a flight refund…

I have been waiting for a flight refund from Wotif for over a year. All avenues of communication appear to be unavailable. Their virtual assistant system is a joke and completely useless. I regard Wotif's lack of action and honesty as completely fraudulent. I would strongly advise people not to use the company for any travel bookings.

Don’t do any business with Wotif

Don’t do any business with Wotif. Their customer service is non-existent. If you ring them all you get is an automated message and if you send them an email to any of the email addresses on their website, the emails bounce back as undeliverable. We had our flights cancelled by the airline and received an email from Wotif asking if we would like to have them schedule another flight for us. I replied immediately to the email and said yes. Four days later after not hearing anything I rang them. After 3 hours of trying to get through I finally managed to speak to an agent who said they would sort the problem out within 48 hours. A week later and after speaking to 5 different agents who all promised to get back to me in 24-48 hours, Wotif have done nothing to rectify the problem. We have rang the airline who said if Wotif contacts them they will happily transfer us on to another flight but because we paid through Wotif they need to be the ones to contact them and request this. Wotif have lied to us repeatedly saying they will sort it out with the airline but they have not even attempted to contact them. I have now cancelled my flights and requested a refund which they have told me will take 12 weeks. Disgraceful! Their agents cannot understand you and the phone continually cuts out during the call. I will never deal with Wotif again and will take legal action if my money is not refunded. My advice -don’t touch this company. I hope they go bankrupt. Wotif are lying thieves.

It's ok when you make a booking and everything goes to plan. As soon as you need to cancel and ask for a refund, things go pear shape. Worst customer services ever encountered and not helpful at all.

Have contact numbers to call, but when you call you just get disconnected. It's obvious they are avoiding unhappy customers.

Booked a hotel with Wotif

Booked a hotel with Wotif, when I cancelled the hotel, I received a "cancellation confirmation" only to have hotel still charge me weeks later that full amount. When I called them multiple times to sort it out, the Wotif agents just told me that I need to work it out with hotel directly....absolute disgrace

Disgusting Service and No Morals / Ethics

I used the service of booking accommodation in Albany, Western Australia for the ANZAC Long Weekend. It was on the Friday afternoon that the Premier announced that the Perth / Peel Region was going into Quarantine / Lock-Down for the following 3 days > finishing on Tuesday 27th 00:01hrs; so was unable to leave the region and Visit Albany. I therefore contacted the accommodation directly to cancel. They had my booking and were only to happy to cancel due to extenuating circumstances, and additionally advised to cancel with "Wotif", in which I did. I have been trying for the past 3 weeks now to get refund of payment, and have spoken to Accommodation Supplier to find out that, they too have not been paid either. "Wotif" have no moral or ethics, and have kept the money's paid for a service that was not used, nor paid to the supplier. Do NOT touch them - they do not provide the service. If I could give NO Stars - I would happily do so

Wotif are complete scammers who…

Wotif are complete scammers who dishonestly advertise. I booked a motel and cancelled within the next 3 days. The booking was not for another month. They advertised that cancellations would be refunded. They then informed me there was no refund, yet the Motel owner does not get the money that WOTIF have taken, and when I spoke to them they were will to refund this money. I have tried to contact WOTIF and I have not had any response. This is total scamming, dishonesty, fraud, false advertising. I will ensure I will advise everyone - DO NOT USE WOTIF AT ALL COSTS.

Filthy scammers

Scammers. Took my money, flights gets cancelled due to border closure, they keep my money.
Customer service very ride and even one month later they are still holding to their BS story telling me they are waiting for the flight company to send them a refund.
I called flight company and they told me they gave them the money back weeks ago.
Absolutely filthy thieves.
I hope karma reigns down on all you, not in the financial way.

Avoid WOTIF at all costs

The Wotif Ad appeared high on a Google search for last minute (that night) accommodation. The App automatically flipped me to the next month (unnoticed at the time) and then when I've tried to cancel, even though it's a month away, it's a NO REFUND policy. As I arrived at the hotel, there was ANOTHER punter trying to book in who was also duped by WOTIF. Had to drive home again 90 mins that night arriving at 1am.
Luckily WOTIF has an automated online and phone system to tell you "Tough Luck SUCKER!".

Advice: Avoid WOTIF at all costs. Booking.com is far superior.

Made a booking at a hotel

Made a booking at a hotel, they took the money instantly then I was emailed to say the Hotel had no hot water. So I cancelled and was given the runaround by WOTIF and the next day they said they would refund but it would take 7 days to go into my account. It’s disgraceful that companies are allowed to get away with this crap. Take peoples money at the click of your fingers but take a week to give back the money you had taken with ZERO goods or services provided. WOTIF are thieves from what I have read and will NEVER use these pieces of sh$& again

Since when is BS swearing?

On hold, which just ticked over two hours. This is the fourth phone call to Wotif - so that's eight hours of my life gone!

Paid $844 dollars for accommodation that I could not use due to covid restrictions. Gave me a voucher, but could only use at the hotel I originally booked with. Unfortunately the hotel is now out of business.

So far I have been promised, a phone call from a manager, countless emails and a full refund. Yet to receive any of these.

when I told one representative - who was in Central America, that this was BS - he threatened to hang up on me if I swore again! FFS!! Who wouldn't swear?

cancellation option on booking, if before 2 days from booking date - I cancelled 2 weeks prior, no refund, so called & they answered after a 2 hour wait - lady called Shahani.
First she tried to tell me that I hadn't cancelled, then said that they would process my "request" for refund - the arrogance has no end!!!
then she said to "hold the line for a call reference number" - 30 mins later & I'm still holding

Said they modified booking but they didn't, so had to pay for nights I didn't use, and poor customer service

Booked a hotel though Wotif for 3 nights. Within the free cancellation period I changed the reservation to 2 nights. A page came up saying my reservation had been modified...but when the free cancellation day came I found out they never modified the booking. Can't get through to them - just some stupid automated thing that goes round in circles and no way of emailing them. Very poor customer service. Won't be using Wotif ever again.

Reservation cancelled on last moment - No help

I made a booking with wotif for Mantra - Circle on cavill apartment for 3 nights in Feb - I got an email confirmation which explicitly said that you dont need to reconfirm it.
and I also got a payment notification from commonwealth bank, when i reached there on the booking day I got to know that my booking has been cancelled because of payment issues,
and i had an email last night about it, which is ridiculous as i was told not to worry, it has been confirmed (they send a lot of marketing emails anyway).

So we were on the road with out luggage - Mantra reception said we dont give a damn about it - sort it out yourselve we are not responsible for anything. Says so much for their brand

Anyway, moving forward, we contacted their customer service - they said we cant do anything we can help you in booking again - which felt like we are internet illiterate calling for help.

After hours of waiting on call, they offered us '50' dollar voucher which can be used on their site. Finally they said they have found something similar for us 'Moorings on Cavill' and they will pay 200 in booking from their own.
We had no where to go, and the offer didnt sount bad so we agreed. When we reached there we realized they have booked 1 room budget apartment - our previous booking was for 2 rooms- 4 adults.
And when we checked the 'Moorings' official website we realized that Wotif has paid nothing from their own, the rates were same as what we paid to Wotif and that 200 dollar offer was nothing but just a deception.

Their customer service is ridiculous - I will always prefer booking.com or airbnb on them

Fraudulent company

Fraudulent company. They advertise rooms that aren't available then take your money and blame the hotel. They try to make you interact with the hotel rather than refund you themselves. They often have hundereds of properties advertised that don't really have availabilities. Will be filing a complaint with the ACCC.
