I like Filmora sofware…
The Software is great to use (very intuitive and creative. Youcan do a lot of editing without needing to subscribe to extras (I have an old perpetual licence). There have been issues of concern in the past re subscriptions and perpetual licences, but they did listen to their users. The Filmora software is worth trialling if you want a solid editing software.

Terrible
Terrible. I purchased a perpetual license for a previous version of the program a few years ago. After upgrading to two versions, the license was canceled. There's no way to complain to any competent authority because the company isn't registered in my country. NEVER PURCHASE THIS VERSION. When I renewed the annual license I've been using since losing the perpetual license a few years ago, the program updated and is forcing users of previous versions to migrate to the latest version. Since I only renewed for an annual period 4 months ago, it doesn't make sense to pay again just because they decided not to support the previous version anymore (I contracted for 1 year!). This is a treacherous Chinese company; I do not recommend them.

Deceptive "Subscription Trap" - Avoid Wondershare
I am writing this to warn others about the predatory and deceptive billing practices used by this company. They employ what is commonly known as a "subscription trap".
The Illusion of a One-Time PurchaseWhen you sign up, the interface makes it appear as though you are making a single, one-time purchase for a specific task.
Instead, they hide the fact that they are enrolling you in a high-cost, recurring monthly subscription.
In my case, I was billed CHF 70.23 every single month without my explicit consent or clear understanding that an "auto-renewal" was active.
Deceptive Default SettingsThe most frustrating part is that the automatic renewal is the default setting.
This is fundamentally wrong. By law and ethical business standards, a subscription should be an optional opt-in, not a hidden requirement that the user must proactively hunt down to cancel.
Total Lack of TransparencyNo Notifications: Despite their claims that reminders are sent 15 days in advance, I received zero billing communications or renewal notices between October 2025 and April 2026.Hostile Refund Policy: When you catch the unauthorized charges, they hide behind a "7-day policy" and "system limitations" to refuse your money back, even if their logs prove you have zero software activity.Inertia Selling: They continue to charge for a service that was never accessed or requested, which constitutes unjust enrichment.I have had to involve my bank for a fraud/chargeback dispute and report them to the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Do not trust this service unless you want to be trapped in an endless loop of unauthorized charges.
Unless you want to spend months fighting for your money back from a company that ignores consumer protection laws, stay far away.

I really never used this product and thought I had cancelled at least two times only to be charged again, and have to cancel again. I can't vouch for the software but the company itself feels like a total scam. I would never purchase a product from them again. My requests for refunds have garnered zero response.

Return Policy a Joke
Like many of the reviews, their 7 day return policy is a joke. I tried talking with support after only trying it for 12 hrs and realized its not gonna work.
For those at wondershare needing more details.

Like I said, I contacted support explained the situation and was told you should have done a better job read our refund policy. It states in big bold letters if your not happy after 7 days we will return your money. I responded within 12 hrs.
And their whole autorenewal after a year. Thank god I read others having that issue and found how to completely discontinue the account. Can't tell you how mad I would have been in a years time to get billed again for their service.
The product didn't work for me and within 12 hrs told you so, please return my funds.
After more emails back and forth Wondershare has done the right thing and done a complete refund. Their integrity is still in tack and I will have no issue referring them to others in the future. Thank you

This feels like a straight-up scam. My subscription showed as expired and inactive in my account, yet I still received an email saying it would auto-renew. There was no proper cancel option in the dashboard, only “update payment method,” which is clearly misleading. The subscription was still active in the background and linked to PayPal; they could charge me again even after everything looked like it had ended.
I had to go into PayPal myself and cancel autopay just to stop them from charging me. Their customer support is a complete joke; it’s just AI responses with no real help or clear answers. The whole system is sketchy. Be careful with this scamsite

Recoverit did not work for my family member and Wondershare refuse to honour their 30 day money back guarantee. Their guarantee is a scam. Don't believe it.

Avoid Wondershare at All Costs
I was set to pay for their product so I opened my paypal page to review and pay for item, but the Wondershare website stopped the process to review payment on PayPal and charged me straight away without me reviewing my payment details properly, Avoid this company at all costs. Plus their 30 day money back guarantee is not real, just another ploy to use their products. Read other reviews before using this company before you think about buying their products.

Avoid this is a scam. I cancelled my 3-day trial before it ended but was still charged. The software didn’t work and made no difference to my phone. Refund was refused despite clear cancellation. Very frustrating and poor customer service.

Be very careful with Wondershare Filmora.
I paid about £48 for the basic Windows version because it appeared to be a fair annual price for a usable product. I then found myself being steered towards extra services at about £21 a month for 12 months. That turns a modest purchase into something far more expensive. My complaint was not “I changed my mind”. It was that the sales process felt misleading. If the cheaper product is mainly there to drive people into costly add-ons, that should be made much clearer before purchase. I cancelled and requested refunds. Wondershare rejected them with a standard response citing its refund policy and failed to address the real point. Follow-up emails were ignored.
Poor customer experience and a refund process that felt designed to deflect rather than resolve. The most amusing part is they then try to get me to resign by offering a 20% discount.

Impossible to get a refund - No customer support at all!
I am writing this because I have no other way to reach Wondershare. I purchased a product by mistake and found the interface extremely difficult to use. I immediately tried to request a refund, but their website is a complete maze designed to block customers from getting help.
I have tried submitting a request (Order ID: CO1879854522065104913), stating that the interface is too complicated and I no longer need the product, but there has been NO response from a real person.
It is unacceptable to take a customer's money and then hide behind an automated bot. If Wondershare is a legitimate company, process my refund immediately. I will not stop until this is resolved, and I will be contacting my bank for a chargeback if this continues.
