I’ve been a patient at ‘Wonder Of Wellness’ since day one and was also treated by Seb before this when he arrived at Cote Royd. Him and his team have given an array of treatments stemming from replacing mercury/amalgam fillings with composite ones, a root canal, composite bonding, bite correction and finally of course a ceramic implant. It made perfect sense to have the implant as it fit in well with the biological family of other treatments I’d had. During my experience, I was met by Seb and his team and firstly my bloods were taken to create the plasma to help with the healing process. Then I was taken up to surgery and Seb was his usual extremely thorough self and delivered what I would say was a perfect treatment. Without being a dentist myself, I can only say that it felt like every part of the process was covered plus more. From every bit of protective equipment to making sure everything was clean and would not get infected. He inserted the ceramic implant after checking the measurements from the scan a couple times too and explained everything to me, which gave me confidence he was 100% happy with the space for the implant. After the implant was placed he took me down for another scan and confirmed the surgery was a success. Then I was taken down to have the vitamin C drip and I relaxed for a while. Seb came in to check I was feeling okay and we had a chat until the drip had finished. After this he gave me all the info and things I need for the aftercare, and the implant has been great ever since. In terms of delivering surgical ceramic implants, It almost felt as if he’s been doing these forever as simply put, he is just very good at them! I was even so happy with Seb’s work that I brought my partner down with me for a checkup as she’s historically been fearful of the dentist. After having filling replacements etc by Seb (which I never felt she’d be able to do due to the fear of the dentist) she has now also had a ceramic implant too and is in the healing stages currently. I watched Seb deliver everything he did for me to the exact same high standards and care but for my partner.

Called reception and spoke to 3 different people confirming if I can come down for the full mouth consultation and to get an assessment of my cracked molar which I had sent a pic and x ray off. They eventually said yes it was fine. I was traveling a 5 hour round trip and didn’t want to come back again for just this issue to be looked at. Reception had not informed the dentist who thought it was only a full mouth examination. I explained the situation and she got the pic and x ray from reception. I asked her for advice on the crack and she looked at the clock and asked to take a look herself because she needs to see for herself instead of talking about it. I was given anaesthetic and she started to remove my temp filling, I became anxious because the assessment was taking a while and she was not saying anything, then she stopped and said she couldn’t find the crack but had cut my tooth as much as she could! I was shocked to hear this as there was no discussion around cutting the tooth and I had not given consent or seen a treatment plan. When I became anxious, she asked the assistant to inform Seb - who did not arrive, neither have I heard from him since and it’s been a week, there was a clinic manager in that day who also didn’t check if everything was ok. I later met her downstairs and she said they don’t normally do treatments without a treatment plan.
I felt upset that I had driven 2.5 hours to be so rushed without any explanations given. I sat downstairs for about 30 mins talking to the clinic manager and saw no one else waiting to be seen, it was around lunch time & I felt more care and attention would have prevented the issue.
I will not be going back and now my previous dentist refuses to continue working on this tooth because it has too much work done on it for her liking. I feel devastated that I attended this clinic for a 2nd opinion when I had a better biological dentist - just because this clinic had funky ideas about oil pulling etc!!
I would not recommend this clinic at all and feel very upset at the awful, hurried treatment I received. My worst dentist experience ever. I'm also a bit perplexed how they got so many 5* reviews , I think they’re mostly for previous dentists! I am trying to sue the clinic as i attended the clinic thinking the dentist was working for them , however they insist that the dentist was a contractor working on her own. They asked me to sue the dentist. They know full well that there was no treatment plan yet sent me lies from the dentist! Instead of admitting the mistake and paying the small amount of compensation and apologising they are happy to waste money hiring a barrister and prolonging the issue causing me more stress. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you use another biological dentist as this clinic is incompetent and crafty.

Went with bad shoulder/back pain from weight training. Saw reza there who homed in the source of it with forensic accuracy. Not just a masseur but a physio. Top notch. Highly recommend and will go back.

Need dentist. This is just the place to go there way and how thay engage. With everything is just a step up in service. Team who work there are just to professional. And. A can do attitude. That’s you

Thanks so much Dr Seb for my final implant crown I had fitted a couple of weeks ago. Am delighted with all 4 ceramic implants, they look beautiful & best of all, is the gift of no pain after a year of misdiagnosed (by my NHS dentist)chronic pain. Thank you thank you thank you ! ❤️

Dr Seb was recommended to me around 5 years ago and since then I have been visiting him and Wonder of Wellness (Formally Cote Royd Dental Practice) for all my check-ups and dentistry work.

In MAY 2024 I required a tooth extraction which was replaced with a Zirconia SDS Ceramic implant.

Before doing so, Dr Seb provided me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision by way of a comprehensive information pack and at no point was I rushed into making an appointment to have the work done.

I was very nervous and anxious when the big day came, but I need not have been as Dr Seb and his team soon put me at ease. They talked to me throughout the one and a half hour time slot, explaining all the time the steps they were taking and how long each stage would last, which helped to make the allocated appointment time fly by.

After the procedure I required no pain relief at all, just some Clove oil to help the gums heal and prevent any infection.

I have had my implant for over a year now and couldn't be happier with how everything as gone.

It has always been important to me to find the most natural, holistic way to look after myself and Wonder of Wellness meets this requirement.

For many years, following a holistic approach to my health and wellbeing, I felt frustrated at the procedures and materials used by the standard dentist industry. In fact I was alarmed at the lack of knowledge and willingness to move forward with the importance of the connection between oral health (procedures and materials used) and the optimum health of the whole body. My personal concerns were the amalgam fillings that over the years were used to fill my teeth without a thought for the dangers and side effects. Another particular area of concern was the root canal which after visiting many dentists who pre consultation said they would remove the root canal then, following an expensive consultation fee, said it was not something they would do. Although I expressed my concerns at the time regarding root canals and amalgam fillings I was basically made to feel inferior and a nuisance for asking (even though for years my partner & I had been researching the oral health - mind/body connection).
Fast forward to 2024 and I am absolutely thrilled to have found Dr Seb and the Wonder of Wellness team.
I travel 568 miles (round trip) from South Devon to Huddersfield, paying extra for a rental car and overnight accommodation, and it’s worth every penny and every moment!
The second I walked into the reception at Wonder of Wellness I knew…in fact I was overcome with emotion,relief and calmness because I knew that the missing piece of my wellness journey was about to begin and boy! I was not disappointed.
From the relaxing, organic warmth of the reception, the in-depth information given regarding the procedures and the aftercare received I’m actually proud that I have Wonder of Wellness as part of my wellness journey.
The strict protocol used during the removal of my amalgam fillings, ensuring the safety of myself and all staff involved, was outstanding to say the least. My partner had an amalgam filling removed with a local dentist and suffered mercury poisoning for sometime afterwards. This, I felt, could have been avoided if a stricter protocol was in place.
My root canal has now been removed and due to the very high standard of care and professionalism received from Dr Seb it healed very, very quickly and without the need for any pain relief post op.
The same professionalism applied during the fitting of my ceramic implant again meant that within 24 hours the slight discomfort had completely eased.
I am completely overjoyed that my root canal and amalgam fillings have safely been removed and I now have a ceramic implant, and not the more usual titanium (which seems to have some health concerns), which supports my priority in optimum health.

Excellent dental practice. Seb is a wonderful dentist, really put me at ease as I was dreading the tooth implant surgery. I shouldn’t have worried as despite having 3 ceramic implants, I needed no pain relief the next day. Amazing. So delighted with my new implants and wonderful patient care from Seb the dental nurses during and after surgery follow up with Laura. Very kind dentist & staff -thank you wonder of wellness!
