Wonababi's advertising is deceptive. They advertise exchanges are allowed, but once you try to exchange an item they let you know the exchange items need to be purchased at a 40% discount. So you pay 100% for initial purchase and 60% for exchange items. They don't mention this on their website. The other option they gave was to donate the items and buy new items.
I had a terrible experience with this company. I had to exchange my items because the sizing on the website was completely wrong. I returned the parcel to China and paid £20 for shipping. Two months later, they claimed they never received anything, so no refund or exchange for me.
When I pointed out (with proof from the China Post Office website) that they might need to pay customs, they flat out refused. They demanded that I pay the customs fee, even though that’s impossible since the fee is charged to the receiver in China, not the sender.
As a result, I lost both my money and my items. I could have at least kept them and resold them, since they were unused with tags still attached. Instead, I got nothing.
On top of that, their customer service is appalling—emails are rude, curt, and unprofessional, with no greetings or sign-offs. It feels like a scam. They take your money and give you nothing in return.
Don’t buy anything from this company. Save your money and avoid being cheated like I was.
Ordered a binder for my friend worth $30 on August 16, and had to pay $9 shipping. It said it would arrive in 6-12 business days. It is currently September 4th now.
I haven’t even received a single update. It’s a complete scam website. Maybe the US border inspection confiscated it, but they’d have no reason to, so it’s likely not that.
The website is a complete scam. The binder I got as well was supposedly worth $40, with a ‘Limited Time Sale’ taking it down to $30. However, the sale resets every time the timer ends. So this is raising the cost of the item just to make people think they’re getting a deal. Don’t buy from here. It’s a horrible choice.
disgusting behavior.
i was ignored for nearly a week by support itself; i'd messaged more than once in the middle of the day.
that and the fact my package came extremely late; and when i finally emailed the company they said, "besides, the package was delivered on time" as if /i/ wouldn't know when it arrived on my porch.
i bought a binder a size bigger so i could comfortably work and move in it,
it ripped over me when i put it on.
(as embarrassing as it is to admit)
it was my first binder, so i didn't know what to expect. i just thought they were supposed to be tight.
i missed the exchange date and they don't allow refunds under any circumstance. i worked hard (freelance, minor) to earn the $50 i used to buy that.
i'd been waiting over two years, i was so excited to finally be able to have something set aside just for me.
now i have no binder,
no money to buy another,
and they made me miss the exchange date.
I too made a purchase (May 2025) and purchased 2 binders. Using the sizing chart provided, I paid & placed my order.
The package arrived in good time and the quality of the binders was ok BUT the size was too small.
I contacted Wonababi and they agreed to exchange. No return label; had to pay out of pocket. Everything was neatly returned - including their free stickers - and after no reply, I reached out to find out what was going on.
They denied receiving the return package and insisted on a tracking number. I couldn’t provide it as this happened months prior; I don’t make a habit of keeping receipts for months upon months from everyplace I shop.
They absolutely refused to do the exchange, using no tracking number as an excuse. I suggested they check their inventory/investigate which they again, refused to do. I didn’t/don’t want my money back - I simply want an exchange for the correct size seeing how the measurement tool they provide is highly inaccurate. They refuse any accountability. Their customer service/email response is a joke. No letterhead, no professionalism; it’s like the responses I was getting were like a teenager text messaging. Extremely unprofessional. In the end, I told them to keep my money and their product - it’s not worth the headache. What a scam.
Buyer beware! Wonababi is not a reputable business. Do your research and don’t let these scammers rip you off!
Definitely the most high quality affordable option on the market. Their pieces are durable and really comfortable, customer service responds quickly and they offer support through instagram as well. The brand is queer owned too and they offer custom made binders at a very reasonable up charge.
Their products are in asian sizes tho and not very accurate for muscular or short people so I recommend only looking at chest circumference and shoulders when looking for your size, or cross referencing with measurements in western sizes (I recommend using underworks as a reference).
Their size chart lists me as a 4-5XL but my actual size is 2XL. If you think a size is too big for you it 100% is. Just downsize until you find your shoulder measurement and that should be your size :)) You should never be more than 2 (MAYBE 3) sizes larger than your western size
Wonababi dont display any care for their core customer demographic. Here's my experience:
I purchased 2 chest binders for my trans son in January '25 sized according to Wonababi's measuring chart. They were far too big on arrival so I contacted them to return. They provide no return labels to UK customers so I had to pay £15 to post them back to China with tracking.
The item shows as delivered my end but they say they haven't received them and refuse to refund or exchange. Chinese customs have halted my parcel for some reason and I can't contact them, they've never contacted me, so I'm stuck £80 out of pocket. I now have a trans teen who is dysphoric and upset at not having their binders and a company who doesn't seem to care about its core customer demographic.
If you're in the UK, I'd recommend using UK company Spectrum for good quality binders and they have a returns procedure which won't leave you out of pocket.
