I did the translation in the my group…

I did the translation in the my group because there are no gids in the dutch language and my group has to pay to the direction of my translations. The guide have say , maybe 10 words , because I was there for about 35 times and a several times as translator from the polish language to the dutch language . And never there was a problem. I was there for the last time . Al the groups iin the future I gone send to the salt mine in Bochnia who's even older than Wieliczka

it was HORRIBLE

It was a beautiful and fun until we were about to leave, the elevator broke so we had to use an emergency elevator and had to walk about 350 meters extra. There were too many tour visits at the same time and we had only about 2 minutes time to watch the slat artworks. My feet hurts so bad i do not recommend.

Bitter taste!

I booked a tour via Headout but unfortunately selected today's date instead of next Sunday (12th)when I had intended to visit. I contacted Headout straight away about my mistake however was advised of cancellation policy and no ability to amend booking. They quoted that in their experience there would be no flexibility with their agent so no point trying. I contacted the saltmine directly as surely there must be a way to support some one who makes a genuine mistake but they were not interested and simply redirected me to the company I had booked with.
I appreciate this was my error and appreciate terms of booking but it was an honest mistake which could have been easily resolved.

Left feeling disappointed.

We recently attended an individual tour on Saturday at 10:30 and unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. It felt like there were too many tours happening simultaneously, which made the experience rushed. The group tour behind us continuously disrupted our visit.

At times, we had to step aside causing us to miss important information from our guide. It was frustrating when our guide had to pause to let the group’s guide speak about details we had already heard. As a result, we couldn’t fully appreciate the magnificent mines and learn the history of the mines.

Overall, we left feeling disappointed and felt that it wasn’t worth the money, especially given how rushed the experience was. With better management of tour sizes and pacing, this could be a fantastic experience.

Wieliczka Salt Mines are a must visit

I visited Wieliczka salt mines as part of an organized day tour and it was wonderful. Our tour guide was Carolina and she was incredible! She definitely added to the experience and she seemed very passionate and excited about showing us the beautiful mines and telling us about its history. As I mentioned, the mines were beautiful. Many of the chambers you’ll get to see are filled with art carved out of the salt walls and wood, and you’ll hear about the history behind them. You’ll also see naturally formed chambers and churches. There is even a church hundreds of meters under the ground which was made by 2 brothers. The church is beautiful but knowing how it was made made it very impressive. I believe Wieliczka to be an incredibly unique experience and it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s also easy to combine with a trip to Auschwitz. It will take you a full day but it’s very much doable.
