Terrible website
Their website is terribly awkward to navigate, almost as if they're not keen on attracting online customers. After much faffing about, I gave up entirely and ordered elsewhere.
£3.29 for a 500ml bottle of coke
£3.29 for a 500ml bottle of coke! I went to the staff member as I thought it was a glitch in the bar code. He was laughing with me when I left. I bought one for £1.75 at the Boots just opposite.
Le shuttle terminal rip off Folkestone.
X2 packs of green rizla, tuna sweetcorn sandwich & 250ml red bull £8.92
WHSmith Leeds Bradford airport
While visiting Leeds Bradford airport this morning there weren’t many magazines on the shelf a lady was putting papers out and I asked her if she had some other magazines she said she was waiting for the delivery. I noticed she had loads of magazines under the papers so my husband asked her if we could have some, she said they needed scanning in so while she was putting the papers away I waited patiently for her to finish she then closed the cage up and walked off we waited five minutes then decided to leave while walking away we noticed her filling drinks up. She purposely had walked away because we had noticed the magazines on the cage. This lady lost the company money because I would have probably spent about 30 pound. She needs to do a customer service course if they don’t want to do their jobs they should retire and let someone else have it there are plenty of other people out there who could do the job better than her.

Well what can I say
Well what can I say, absolutely ridiculous rip off you are. How can you justify charging £4.19 for 1 bottle of 500ml 7up at Manchester airport. Also £3.99 for pringles and £5 for 3 regular sized bags of walkers. I know I expect to pay a bit more but really!!!! Shame on you. Certainly will not be shopping in any of your stores again.
All good
Ordered from WHSmith online about 5 times now. I've had no issues at all. Everything has arrived on time and in perfect new condition. No mistakes.
In this new, electronic online world I think this is worthy of praise.
Thank you WHSmith for a very solid service. Hope you can keep standards high in the future.
WHSmiths at Heathrow EXTORTION
Walked into WHSmiths at Heathrow Terminal 2, no staff visible, walked around the shop and selected a drink (licozade 500ml) and a bar of chocolate Cadbury’s Picnic 48.4G) , made my way to the cash registers, rows of self service tills with no staff visible/present. I proceeded to purchase my 2 items, 1 drink and 1 bar of chocolate…… for an extortionate £6.48. A total rip off, the store has a monopoly in the terminal, there is no where else to make a purchase of these items in the terminal, as a passenger traveling you will be ripped off.
Strongly advise you stay away from WHSmith.
Outrageous Pricing…
Absolutely outrageous pricing at WH Smith outlet in the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport. A 750ml bottle of Highland Spring water costs £3.49! Tesco price £1.15. Why such an enormous mark up??
Cool for family gifts
I've used it for gifts and books. The products are there wasn't a lot of choice for me but i still found what i searched and delivery was quick to.
DON'T BUY GIFT VOUCHERS
Don't buy the Everywish Gift vouchers. What they don't tell you is that you are not entering into an agreement with WH Smiths but with the company that issues the vouchers. This isn't made clear in the store. In addition the gift voucher company is registered in Germany, therefore German law applies and any dispute you have with them, you will have to use the German courts. In other words if you have a problem and the company is unhelpful, there is nothing you can do. You will just have accept the fact that you lost your money.

This company is over priced
This company is over priced , how can they charge 3.59 for a standard 500ml bottle of Pepsi max ?? I don’t know how they get away with it , but with these prices they will collapse as a business in this day and age and good riddance.
Overcharged twice now for a DHL package…
Overcharged twice now for a DHL package to be sent abroad
Quoted £30.95 on the DHL website, then charged £41.95 instore.
When I queried this, they blamed DHL, while DHL blamed them - either way, I've ended up £22 out of pocket. Apparently there was no manager available to rectify or to query this properly.
Made worse by the sales assistant patronising me by informing me that Israel is outside of Europe.

Star employee!
Just before our train left at Rugby station we grabbed a coffee at the small WHSmith shop there. Roxy served us and she was such a fun & chatty person. She is an asset to the team!
BAD EXPERIENCE
TERRIBLE AND IMPOSSIBLE TRYING TO TO GET TO SPEAK TO WH SMITH CUSTOMER RELATIONS TO FORWARD A COMPLAINT REGARDING AN ISSUE WITH A MEMBER OF STAFF AT CARLISLE STATION SHOP IN BEING SHORT CHANGED BY AN AN ELDERLY SHOP ASSISTANT WHO WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT WHEN CHALLENGED ABOUT IT, ON MORNING OF THURSDAY 22nd May 25

Prices are truly shocking
Prices are truly shocking. Had to buy printer ink, I knew it wouldn't be as cheap as Amazon (£14/15) I was expecting to pay £18-23. It was £35!
It cost 130% MORE than other suppliers. This store was in a town centre, so there are other competitiors in the area (the range etc).
I genuinely hope people are actively stealing from WH Smiths, cos with the kind of greed they deserve it.
Great online customer service
Bought two books online and they arrived damaged. Contacted customer services and they quickly resolved the issue.
Shameful pricing and standard
W H Smith You cannot possibly think that charging over £3 for a bottle of water is OK!!! Your meal deal options were decimated and what I got in the end was awful. Smiths kitchen vegan sandwich. Dry and horrid but no time to do anything about it.
Stop ripping people off just becsuse you can.
i was charge 99 for a carrier bag…
i was charge 99 for a carrier bag Outrageous, the assistant didn't mention the cost and I would have refused if I known feels like a total rip off
Worst experience ever
I was mortified when I attended whs at Birmingham airport.
I wanted a fizzy drink first of all there are no prices and when I asked one of the workers she looked absolutely confused like if I am from a different planet. I will NOT use whs ever again
They are doing well they can turn customers away
Honestly I’ve never been made to feel so small. I’m in my 40s and was asked to leave the store as I was eating a protein bar. Another woman the same as she had a coffee. I was told stuff may fall on floor or mess get on products so accusing me of not being able to eat without making a mess and assuming it will go over my hands. How dare they. There isn’t even a sign on the front of the store.
Nice to know WHSmith can turn customers away. They must be doing well. I put down the handful of items I had and walked out. So embarrassed.
