Purchased perennials that were terribly root bound -- not just a little, but a solid wall of roots that could not be broken apart by hand. Upon contacting them they suggested I use a razor to try to pry them loose. Not what I would expect from an independent nursery charging premium prices

I have been placing multiple hundreds of dollars in orders from WFF for decades & always lavished praise; even though the plants are pricey & often small in size, the quality was great & the customer service was super-responsive if there was a problem. BUT, JUST THIS WEEK, WFF CANCELED AN ORDER I HAD PLACED W/O TELLING ME! (I only found out after receiving WFF's shipping confirmation & checked the UPS tracking number.) When I called WFF to inquire, I reached a robot telling me that customer service was closed for the weekend. IF REGULAR CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED THIS WAY, I WD WARN POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS TO THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING FROM WFF.
WFF is no longer the high-quality, reliable company it used to be.

The company is over priced for the size and quality of the plants. Too much money goes towards shipping which is totally un-eco friendly and less on the size and fullness of the plants. They are not competitive with other greenhouses in pricing and although I paid more I got leggy plants.
I bought 2 orchids in a pot and the orchids were overly tall 20 inches with just a few clusters of buds and 1 full flower each at the very end. They had no asthetic appeal. They were cramed into a small plastic cup and packed with straw like stuff but were not actually growing in orchid soil within the pot so required I then buy orchid soil to transplant them.
$135 was a rip off. I got a beautiful full white orchid at the grocery store for $43

Went out on a limb to order online, sometimes my local nurseries don't have exactly what I am looking for. I found a beautiful collection of coleus at WhiteFlower Farm specifically sold as a collection. I purchased 2. $160 with shipping. Not cheap. They arrived in a box, tightly packed and unfortunately many were in marginal condition. I decided to plant them to see if they would make it with a little time. I had the house sitter water them while I was out of town. Sadly of the 12, only 4 looked viable when I returned. I contacted customer service, probably too late though. They offered a partial refund, and wanted to know which ones didn't make it. Out of 6 different named plants, I couldn't recall. After some pressing on my part and contacting them yet again, they also refunded the shipping fee. So I ended up paying them about $50 for 4 plants. They really need better packaging and faster delivery for the plants to survive, was quite a waste of energy and resources. I used to order Amaryylis from them but won't now. They could have kept a customer, as their "complete customer satisfaction guarantee" offers. Just offer me a credit for the remainder you wouldn't refund or offer to send something in the fall.

A huge, hard, no. All of this packaging for one leaf. Never again, Unless they figure out how to be eco-friendly. I tried to post a picture of this mess, but couldn’t figure out how. It was a huge box 3 big clumps of wanted paper, lots of cardboard, for a plant that was literally one tiny leaf the size of my thumbnail.

I usually order some bulbs every spring.Sometimes, I was disappointed but in general, I like the fact that they have many varieties of flower bulbs.

Received, Amaryllis as a gift for Xmas. Arrived broken, dying, and looked like they had been run over. Virtually no packing or care for shipping.

Over many years, we would order tomato plants in the spring. Same issue! Broken, and dying.

Clearly, these folks are clueless when it comes to shipping live plants and flowers.

I placed numerous gift orders in one order with a written description that the items would be sent Mid-Nov. With no notification of shipping. by the end of Nov, I've called and customer support says "No, it begins shipping Mid-Nov and I don't see a label for you at this time. I'll try to move you up". One week later I called again, rude support rep who says "well, its a first come first serve basis and based on your area (even though the gifts go all over the US), I don't see a label for you so I can't tell you when they will be shipped out either. I asked to speak to a manager and they said 'they can't help you'" They had a 'too bad for you attitude'. How rude! Will never do business with them again. If I had seen these reviews before I placed the order, I would have never chosen this company.

Ordering from them this year has been incredibly difficult, made even more so by hard to reach and rude customer service.

An order I placed in September for delivery before Thanksgiving wasn't shipped or updated. Only after I reached out multiple times was any response even forthcoming and what I got was basically a "what did you expect" type call.

The items eventually arrived 2 weeks late.

Very disappointed in White Flower Farms. Two of my items were sent to the wrong address. I finally got a refund on a gift that was broken,a cache pot that was mailed to me rather than the recipient with a third recipients gift card attached.
I agree that this is a difficult year as I was informed by customer service. The customer service was terrible. Rude, condescending, talked over me... I was shocked. I’m done with this company after many years as a customer.

The customer support team is very helpful.

Ordering this year has been a difficult experience because I don't have my order number ( I ordered 3 different times) and I am completely shut out of the "track your order" because of this. I gave my email and tried to call, to no avail because of the Covid-19. When I got my Visa bill I had to dispute the charge because I don't know where the plants are that I ordered for my son in a different state. Why can't you just use my email name and phone number to send me to tracking of all my orders for this year? This is turning into a BIG hastle!

I MADE AN ERROR IN PLACING AN ORDER AND WHEN I REALIZED IT THE NEXT DAY I CALLED THE WHITE FLOWER FARM. WITHIN TEN MINUTES ( WHICH INCLUDED A CALL BACK TO ME) THEY HAD COMPLETELY REMEDIED THE PROBLEM. THE COURTESY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THEIR CALL CENTER STAFF WAS AMONG THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. APART FROM THEIR PRODUCT OFFERINGS, THEIR SERVICE IS THE SECOND BEST REASON FOR USING THEM.

Terrible customer service. I will never darken that greenhouse again.

i HAVE BEEN ORDERING WHITE FLOWER FARM'S ANNUAL COLLECTIONS FOR YEARS AND EVERY YEAR I SAY THAT I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.
THE PLANTS ARRIVE SCRAWNY, ALMOST DEAD AND MANY ARE DEAD OR DIE VERY SOON. THEIR SHIPPING TIME IS RIDICULOUS EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING. THE CONTAINERS THAT I PLANTED FROM THEIR STOCK LOOK TERRIBLE WHILE THE POTS THAT I FILLED WITH PLANTS FROM A LOCAL NURSERY LOOK GREAT.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM WHITE FLOWER FARM AGAIN.

I am leaving a review which I have not done ever with anything I purchased form any company . I have ordered from these people for years from MN now Okla . I have read some negative reviews ... simply not my case . I contacted CS with my issues , knowing that they were hit with one monster storm after the other this spring I just thought to bad so sad for me , not the case . CS didn't question my knowledge on gardening or the issue I had with my order 279.00 she ,CS only ask me witch ones , said that they would be replaced in a professional politely manner ! Great experience with WFF . Maybe it's in the approach folks if you call be kind you get what you give .. I will tell my gardening friends WFF when I hear complaint about local nurseries poor quality miss information on zone the list could go on .... I will continue to purchase from these folks you get what you pay for ,yes more expensive but all the perks that comes with WFF knowledge , CS ,and the replacement fact of plants ,for witch myself never knew about ,or had to use in the 20 years I have been placing orders or my MN gardening friends . So yes a loyal customer . And I won't have to endure local nurseries with no CS , and only thing a person would get flack or nothing but a frown when the plants are weak or doesn't come up ,or return the next year ... Thanks WFF .

I want to thank you for my old fashioned hydrangea tree. We left it in a pot this summer. Every branch bloomed. I just picked the last blossoms this afternoon. We will be planting it in my back yard, so I can see it all summer. Thank you again for y our great service!
