Helpful staff

Bought a nissan note in September 2025. Nice tidy car. Left to look around it and drive in their large car park at my leisure, but were there to answer my questions.
You can go out on an accompanied test drive if you prefer.
The actual part x and sale went through smoothly. Staff great, very approachable and helpful.

Absolute top notch 10/10 service!

Absolute top notch service and mannerism. From start to finish they have been kind and professional, and went above and beyond in delivering an excellent customer experience. The vehicle that I wanted wasn’t ready to drive away on the day so they provided a temporary car until it was.
Rare to find genuine service like this. I travelled all the way from Birmingham and will gladly do so again and again.
You guys have left me looking forward to the next encounter.
Thank you for your service and I wish you all success in all of your personal and business affairs.
Much regards
Muhammad Adam

SELLS FAULTY CARS

Bought our car at the beginning of June. They said it would have a FULL MOT after taking a deposit they then phoned to say they didn't need to do one because it still had 7 months left, did eventually do one because I was adamant i wasted the full 12 months as agreed.
Garage is 3 hours from where we live, we got almost home when warning lights started flashing, stopped at the shop and car wouldn't start, phoned tje garage and they said straight away the battery must be flat so they obviously knew the battery was faulty. Air con needed a new valve and regassed.
Car started struggling to get up hills, contacted the garage and they said it would be a problem with the clutch which won't be covered, under the consumer rights act 2015 they are responsible for repairs when the car has been purchased less then 6 months ago, this problem arised after only 11 weeks having driven for only 2600 miles so this is not fair wear and tear and was obviously already wearing out. Garage is a bunch of ignorant, useless cowboys.

Review for White Cottage Cars

Review for White Cottage Cars

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Qashqai from White Cottage Cars in December 2024, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing.

Shortly after purchase, I began experiencing multiple serious issues with the vehicle — including a faulty rear parking sensor, an “auto stop/start” error, a completely broken stereo system (requiring full replacement), and clutch problems. These are not minor wear-and-tear issues — they’ve made the car difficult and frustrating to use, especially given how recently I bought it.

When I contacted the company to raise these concerns, their only solution was for me to return the car to their garage — over an hour and a half away from me. As a single mother, this just isn’t a viable option. The time, cost of travel, and arranging childcare (not to mention the risk of driving a faulty car that far) all make this an unreasonable expectation. They refused to offer a pickup service or courtesy car and showed little to no willingness to consider alternative solutions that might better support their customer.

Although I understand that paperwork may have been signed regarding returns, I purchased this car in good faith — not expecting to immediately deal with significant faults and additional costs. Their lack of flexibility or empathy in handling the situation has left me extremely frustrated.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend White Cottage Cars. The aftercare has been unhelpful, the car has been problematic from the start, and I’ve already incurred expenses and stress I shouldn’t have had to deal with so soon after purchase.

Bought a car from these guys and they…

Bought a car from these guys and they were very helpful, chatty but not pushy. They answered all questions about the car as honest as possible. I just want to say thank you and my new to me car is perfect. A very satisfied customer and love driving my Vauxhall Mokka.

I bought a 10 year old car (55 reg) from White Cottage over 7 years ago, only just now swapping it at age 17 years. After purchase there were a couple of things needing putting right and they did them without question. It lasted really well and was reliable. Staff were all helpful.
