After all the years I've been using WeTransfer, as soon as I am coerced into paying for the service... the transfer runs into trouble. I am still waiting for the transfer to get past 77%. Rubbish.

speeds are slow and my transfer keeps…

speeds are slow and my transfer keeps get interrupted. I downloaded a 100GB bin file from a speedtest site, works fine! but the wetransfer keeps failing. I have the ultimate plan but this just sucks. tried over 20 times just keeps failing.
no phone support or chat support just some contact form, i canceld my sub right away dont use this service people.

Increase prices more than 10X outrageous

we worked with them as an agency quite some time to send photo's and video's to our clients.
Always 120euro per year.
This year we al of a sudden got an invoice of €2000 !!!

They changed it some how to a team plan with 10 users. and increased the price from 120 to 199

Outrageous how they try to scam people.

We are going to look for an alternative

Prices increase with the speed of light

Since the day We Transfer is owned by Americans, the only goal seems to earn more money! Prices increase with the speed of light. We are charged as a TEAM ( 10 persons ) for more than €900,- ( with 50% discount ) for a year! In reality we are two real estate photographers sending files to our customers every day! So…..we said GOODBYE to We Transfer there are far better and cheaper ways to sent files anyway!!!

It's been good untill their pricing…

It's been good untill their pricing changed. An e-mail which apparently was sent out asking users to opt out 9 months ago, our bills went from £20 monthly to £181 monthly, and now they're trying to charge 1.8k for an annual subscription. We only use this like 3 times a month between 2 people, absolutely ridiculous.

I've seen other people suggest SMASH, we'll be cancelling WeTransfer and registering with them right away, also non existent CS doesn't help, avoid and use SMASH! :)

Yet another file that expired shortly…

Yet another file that expired shortly after being sent that I need to chase up the sender about! This is a useless scam service and I will be encouraging everyone who sends me files using it to switch to something better. There are many superior options that don't give the file receiver such a terrible experience.

If you want a big headache and waste…

If you want a big headache and waste hours of your life and be charged randomly, use we transfer.
Charged for a subscription I don’t have. They direct to links and tabs that don’t exist if you don’t have a paid subscription, how can you cancel something you don’t have?? But they charge anyway. And pretend that they’re ‘sorry to see you leave’ when you contact them about it. And then direct you to tabs to resolve it that you can’t have as you don’t have a subscription. I’m two hours on another day into sorting this and I still don’t know if they’ll stop charging me let alone refund the £84 taken

Scam

My account was 3 months into a year subscription When they changed their charging model recently they moved my account from paid to free even though there was 9 months left. Automated replies. Ignored. I'm paying for free! Avoid.

This is glitchy

This is glitchy, slow, malfunctions, and doesn't update right. Plus, the TOS is too broad. This company and site are not "good neighbors" on the Internet. Shame on them. I don't know how to say "F--- off" in Dutch, but I sure wish I did.

Just a waste of time since it does not…

Just a waste of time since it does not transfers. It start but then it stops and when you start over you start from the begiening . lol What a joke and its not the first time. Im not going to pay if you dont do basic transfert simply and efficiently. what a joke.

Auto renewed, doubled the price

Auto renewed last year's subscription which has now more than doubled to £211. No notification, but two days later sent an email saying 'sorry to see your leaving us'... Wtf??

Shame, unlike many I have had no issues with the service and would've renewed if I needed to, which I don't.

Horrible

I signed up for a subscription only to find out that the product did not work for what I had intended. That same night, I deleted the account expecting for the subscription to be canceled, well, I got a notification from my CC company that I was being charged. So, I emailed the wetransfer "company" and asked them to cancel as I could not get into my deleted account. I received an email stating "if the account is deleted the automatic payments are stopped". Well, here we are a month later and I have emailed them again to stop payment on month number two! Fortunately, I have emails saved so I can fight this payment, hopefully, this ends this nightmare with this "company"...

Payment trap

Was sent important files from somebody, link expired, tried to sign up for a free trial then cancel immediately, I'm quite sure I haven't actually been able to sign up for a free trail due to an error with the site, and I still can't access the file, and there is nowhere on my account to cancel payment - but we'll see if I get charged next week.

Thieves.

First they wanted to gift our content to AI, now they throw a pop-up that invites you to become a Team account -just a "OK" as on to so may banners... and then charge you 1600€ next billing cycle.
We had to loose all our files, and lucky we realized as soon as it was charged.
Bunch of thieves. We are all cancelling our accounts and migrating to frame.io or Google Drive.

They stole 1990.00.... Total Con !!

Every year I paid 120.00 for the service.
This year WeTransfer took 1990.00 CRAZY.

I cancelled the account within a week and asked for a refund as this amount was INSANE.

I wrote THREE times and STILL haven't had any responce.

NO REFUND.... NO CONTACT.... NO HELP...

It seems they can access your account and take ANY AMOUNT they wish

Service ok, but cheaper to courier paper copies!

I've enjoyed using their service for 2 years, but the pricing is crazy:
November 2023: £54
November 2024: £108
This year's "offer" : £210.
Inflation from 2023 would suggest I should be paying around £58 a year, not around 4x the price. At £210 it would be cheaper to courier documents to my clients! I won't be renewing this year.

Absolute thieves

Absolute thieves. I am so sick of online businesses scamming people. They have been robbing me blind for the past year. Deducting money monthly that I did not knowingly agree to. I will never ever recommend these thieving *&%$#.

Amazing for me!!!

I was shocked to see the 1.2 stars. WeTransfer has been able to deliver heavy file loads repeatedly. Easily accessible through a link. Made getting info to my attorneys super easy.

Worst ever, they have not informed that it will expire the photos that was transfer for my company, and after they just email that it has expired and now they want money. No warning whatsoever Worst ever, NOT recommend to no one!
