Get a card from ANYONE except Wells Fargo.

It was suggested that everyone have a BILT card for the benefits and the perks. The card was SERVICED by Wells Fargo. A couple of years after having the card, they converted it to AUTOGRAPH. I had to call Wells Fargo; it was a nightmare. Wells Fargo is NOT a credit card you want to have. They are quick to sue and mark your payments as late. They have also been sued for exploitative business practices. Get a card from ANYONE except Wells Fargo.

Horrible customer service

I have had the worst experience with this company. I feel so strongly about it that I wanted to leave a review to help others avoid this bank, however, I see that their rating is already very low and this probably won’t help. My advice, stay FAR away from this bank if you can avoid it. They are incompetent, rude, and misleading. The worst customer service I think I’ve ever had… JUST SEND ME MY LIEN RELEASE!

New Business Checking Fee…

The new Wells Fargo business account fees are squeezing out small business. The new daily minimum balance and removal of electronic deposits is making it too stringent to have fee waive with monthly requirements. Will be moving to a credit union.

Wells Fargo is the most crooked bank…

Wells Fargo is the most crooked bank around. They triad to keep me from using my husband debit card for bills after he passed even though my name was on the account. They are doing one of my family members wrong. They do things under handed and not notify you. I would not bank with these people if they were the last bank on earth.

By far this is the worst customer service team ever at Welfargo. They closed my account because I had to withdraw big number of money plus my friends zelled me some money. They closed my account and when i called them asking for explanation. They were not professional. They sounded like they did not want my business so I will take my business somewhere else

I’ve been a Wells Fargo Home…

I’ve been a Wells Fargo Home Improvement cardholder for 6–7 years with a perfect payment history, including large purchases over time. I’ve never missed a payment.

In March, I paid my bill on the exact due date. In April, I was hit with a $29 late fee anyway. I called, paid again as instructed, and they reversed it. Then in May, I was charged another $40 late fee tied to that same issue—because of a leftover balance created by the original fee.

Wells Fargo refused to reverse it, saying only one fee can be waived per year, even though this was clearly related to their own error. Escalation didn’t help.

Very disappointing. Long-term customers with perfect payment history deserve better than being penalized over technicalities and inconsistent billing.

We had a 2pm appointment for a simple…

We had a 2pm appointment for a simple notary requirement. Arrived at the Medical Plaza Wells Fargo location off Harris Blvd in Charlotte NC. After a 40 minute wait we were told by the only notary on site that she knew nothing about the appointment. I've had issues with customer service at this branch numerous times in the past. I'm done with Wells Fargo. Can I give less than a 1 star. They don't deserve the 1 star either.

WELLS FARGO PIRATES YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS WHEN YOU ARE THE VICTIM OF FRAUD!!!

Wells Fargo has held my business accounts and my personal accounts since 2014. There was FRAUD on my account so they told me twice I had to wait for a new debit card and update that number with everyone. They FAILED to note that Prime Video was triple charging me each month for over a year, which I flagged as soon as I noticed it. They disputed the charges, each one, and then REFUSED to issue me a replacement debit card for ONE YEAR. They treated me like a CRIMINAL and not a VICTIM which was contrary to the TRUTH. They told me to give them a month while they investigated the FRAUD, then when a month was up they had a audacity to request a second month!!! Meanwhile, they have access to ALL of my money, all of my credit, my bill pay system, etc.!!! They are beyond corrupt and 100% UNETHICAL!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a Wells Fargo account holder

I am not a Wells Fargo account holder, Thank God. I just stop to use the ATM because it was convenient. This is where the nightmare started. The ATM machine malfunctioned and kept my card. I called the customer service number that was provided and was totally baffled on what I heard. I was informed that the Wells Fargo policy is to collect ATM cards that are stuck in the machine and to destroy them. They will not hold your card for you to retrieve it, they will just simply dispose of it. Not caring if you have an emergency or urgent business to attend to. It's just the price you pay for using their ATM, the inconvenience of it all. Now I have the pleasure of ordering a new credit card which should take about 7 business days to arrive. Thanks Wells Fargo for letting me know how your customers are treated, can't believe you're still in business after reading some of the other reviews.

Call Center

I like Wells Fargo; however, I called their customer service on 04/16/26, and the CS rep said, "I'm not required to give you that information." What? If I said that to a customer, I'd have been in my car, heading home within minutes. In the end, they told me where I could get the info I needed, but the question was just the most basic. I wasn't moving any money around.

Wells Fargo steals your money openly…

Wells Fargo steals your money openly and gleefully. $35 every time you overdraft. Send you messages on the app "warning you" but it's after the fact. The notifications are delayed on purpose. Then they lie and are just worst at everything, period. They need to be dismantled for parts. People in charge belong in prison.

Horrible

Horrible. Nothing I can say but horrible. You are a number with Wells Fargo. You absolutely are not a person. Everything is controlled by their totally messed up system so even if a banker and a branch wants to help you, they can't do it because they have no power to do anything beyond the stupid system. They hold checks for days beyond what they need to.

I absolutely can't send money with Zelle. It blocks every transaction. Even if I try to do a test $10 send to someone it gets blocked. Then they tell you that the block will resolve itself which it doesn't. So Zelle is basically unusable with Wells Fargo.

I just opened a second account. That was stupidity on my part. Since I did that it's even worse.

Unjustified Account Closure After 15 Years Without Explanation

I maintained a banking relationship with Wells Fargo for over 15 years. This account served as my primary financial account, receiving my salary and supporting multiple automatic payments, including credit cards and recurring bills.

Without prior notice, the bank unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship. My account was frozen with funds still inside, and all scheduled automatic payments were declined or returned. As a direct result, I incurred financial losses, including returned payment fees and potential impacts to my credit profile.

Notably, my account was always maintained in good standing, with no history of overdrafts or negative balances. Upon visiting a branch, the bank manager confirmed there were no visible issues with my account and expressed uncertainty regarding the closure. During a joint call to the fraud department, I was informed that the account had been closed; however, no specific reason or supporting details were provided.

Based on the limited information available, it appears the closure may have been triggered by routine Zelle transfers of relatively small amounts. If so, this reflects a serious failure in risk assessment and customer due diligence, resulting in disproportionate action without proper investigation or communication.

The lack of transparency, absence of due process, and failure to provide reasonable notice or explanation raise significant concerns regarding the bank’s internal controls and customer handling practices.

Given this experience, I cannot recommend Wells Fargo as a reliable financial institution.

One star is actually too much for this…

One star is actually too much for this branch since Mrs.K.Romero left this office!
For many years my wife and I have been a customer at this Branch and knew Mrs. Karina Romero since she starting to work at this office, a person we trusted, when we lived in Boston and She was our preferred Banker!! Since she left this Branch, service became a joke, unprofessional worker took over handling our account and being very rude on the phone with me, interrupted me while talking to her, when she complained about my wife's email she received after writing my wife a FORM letter, like we were customers NOT KNOWING the rules, regulations and bank agreements!!
We are really not appreciating this kind of treatment and we are appalled how this ended! This Branch is going down like a sinking ship, with the kind of service been provided from now on!!
