Wedge 3D are now the fastest growing 3D printing accessory company in the United Kingdom. As a family business, we have removed the corporate nonsense and tried to build a business based on good, honest, home-grown values. We knew the UK was missing a 3D printing business that really cared, so that is what we have attempted to build.

Excellent non pushy advice for a complete newbie who didn't have a clue.

When I ordered my Prusa Mini+ I had no idea of the crazy amount of filaments out there. I had a tiny idea of what type suits what purpose, but no idea what to buy for my first few reels to have a play with and learn from.

Amazon was the typical minefield of tempting bargains and sponsored listings, each with the thousands of fake reviews that accompany them.

I found Wedge3D on Google when searching for Prusament (regarded (like their printers) to be good quality and reliable).

I don't usually use those little chat boxes on websites, but I really needed some guidance on what I am doing. So spoke to Clair and explained I didn't have a clue and that I wanted a starter pack type bundle, gave a budget of £100/150 and asked for them to pick some out for me. The main response was to not go crazy and buy a load of different types of filament (which was my intention) and just try a couple to see how I get on, and grow from there. Which I thought was refreshing, they could've just said "yep, we will take your full budget and give you stuff you don't actually need". But they didn't. I was asking about flexible filaments and nylon, and they gave me some samples, but still pushed that I stick to basic PLA for the first reel whilst I got my feet wet as that is the easiest to print.

They answered every question I had without a hint of "shut up and buy something" (surprising as it was gone 6pm). It was just really good to be able to talk to someone who knew about this stuff (I should use the chat box thing more often :) )

They have Prusament in stock in the UK which is a massive deal, as getting it from Prusa in Czechoslovakia is fairly slow if you don't opt for the expensive fast shipping.

I have since used them for a couple of spare parts and last week ordered more filaments. I do have more knowledge now and could shop around (though not many choices when it comes to UK stocked Prusa stuff). But thanks to that very helpful first experience, I will keep coming back.

Refused post cost of faulty return

Ordered some black PLA+ Wedge 3D had simply copied the description from the manufacturer and not inspected the filament. "Black" was actually grey. "Shiny" was milky satin. When I attempted to return the filament Wedge 3D ignored the Consumer Contracts Regulations and refused to provide a free return or refund my return postage.

Wedge3d does Prusa :)

I just discovered that wedge3d now supplies Prusa equipment, so ordered a few steel plates and various spare parts "just in case".

I did two orders as I missed some stuff off the first order and was really impressed with the 1) speed of delivery 2) packaging and 3) nice touches, like the Vimto bar.

Great communications, not too much and not too little. Packaging excellent, no foam beads.

Prusa prices fair, though Prusa isn't cheap anywhere, but thankfully no two weeks wait for anything.

Post and packing about right as well. Happy to support a smaller (than Amazon) UK company as well.

Excellent company and a brilliant team

Excellent company and a brilliant team. We have now switched to exclusively using Wedge3D for all our filament and Prusa purchases. I do all the ordering for a design department within a college. Takes all the hassle out - and can work out cheaper than direct from Prusa themselves.

Ordered an item and paid extra for next…

Ordered an item and paid extra for next day delivery. I was notified by DPD that it was due to be delivered today (23/08/2022) but there was no attempt to deliver, in fact it just remained in the depot.
I contacted Stuart Wedge via chat and asked him to refund the extra for next day delivery, he bluntly refused stating it will be delivered so there would be no refund.

I needed the part today, not tomorrow. He's told me to reject the parcel and he will eventually issue a full refund.

The customer service is awful and I will not be going back.

It isn't my concern that you do not receive refunds from your carrier (very unusual) - that is your issue to deal with and I'd suggest another carrier as they ALL offer refunds when services fail.

My concern is that you feel it is ok to deny a refund when that service fails and simply shrug your shoulders saying no, as it'll be delivered. It is the worst customer experience I have ever had and I shop regularly on eBay!

The parcel was finally attempted to be delivered today (25/08/2022), which has meant I've had to wait in now for 3 days - for a next day delivery, that I paid extra for.

The attitude of the owner(?) Stuart Wedge, was disgusting and I feel that it is ingrained throughout the company.

Hello David
I am sorry you are disappointed with our service.
On very few occasions parcels get delayed whilst with our shipping agents. This is unfortunately something that is beyond our control. Sadly, we do not get any sort of refund when these delays happen, so are not able to offer a refund to customers in this situation. We do advise that delays can happen in our shipping policy, but I appreciate that delays are frustrating.
I do apologies if the live chat came across as blunt, I have reviewed it and it does just seem to answer your questions. It is of course difficult to add inflection the written word.
The advice to refuse the parcel was suggested after you told us you no longer wanted the item; this is the best way for it to get back to us with no additional cost to anyone. What should have been advised on the chat is that we will refund you as soon as we see the parcel has been refused.
Once again, my apologies for the disappointment.
Kind regards
Clair
