Absolutely abominable service. I cancelled my account and over a month later waiting for them to close it out and release the fiber to the next service provider. Hidden fees, excuses, delays.
Their service is trash.

I have been a customer since 2023 and when I cancelled they took R999 from me, after I already returned the router and was told it was part of the T&C's, however during the initial package nobody told me this and IT IS NOT SIGNED ON A CONTRACT!!
After dealing with numerous agents on whatsapp and calls, every agent is confused and the last one said they dont call customers!!!
HERE ARE ALL THE AGENTS I SPOKE TO AND I HOPE THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THIS!!!
THABANG - TODAY TOLD ME THEY DONT CALL CLIENTS???
MAKI - JUST TRANSFERS ME WITHOUT INFO
SINDISIWE - ADVISED ME THAT SALES NEED TO HELP ME SINCE IT WAS SALES THAT DID NOT ADVISE ME ACCORDINGLY.
NOMVULA - FROM THE PROVISIONS TEAM JUST TRANSFERS ME AGAIN WITHOUT ADVISING OR HELPING.
All of these agents I have had to type the same messages and waste MY TIME! Whose going to refund my time?
NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THIS CHARGE SINCE THE BEGINNING - CHECK YOUR SYSTEM, BUT THIS ISNT MY PROBLEM!
EDIT: ***MYREPLY***
THE EMAIL ADDRESS PROVIDED DOES NOT EVEN EXIST!!!
I WILL BE HANDING THIS OVER TO THE CONSUMER COUNCIL.

This is a follow up review, since I have still not received the information I requested. I started this journey on 20 July 2026, today is 4 August 2026.
After 5 days of struggling to get hold of someone, I received a response (which was unfortunately not the format that would be accepted by SARS.) I then reached out again to request a new document and the following played out: no response / wrote a 1-star review / was sent a "change of ownership form" of someone else (POPI act who?) as well as the original incorrect document again / replied / was sent incorrect doc / replied / was sent statements from 2018 - 2026 (!!) / replied / am told I can go on my Webafrica profile to download statements (like I haven't tried that yet).
Am I speaking to AI that is unable to understand + convey English terms? My experience with companies that have been known to be challenging (mobile network providers) have been absolutely pleasant compared to this. Your inability to action an extremely simple request is SHOCKING.

I signed up for a Webafrica Vumatel 30/30 Mbps promotional package in December 2025 after accepting the offer via WhatsApp. The promotion was advertised at R395/month for the first two months, increasing to R489/month thereafter.
After my service was activated, I was billed R799/month instead. My account statements reflect these charges, and I have asked Webafrica to explain why my billing does not match the package I accepted.
When I queried the charges on WhatsApp, I was told my service had been terminated for non-payment and that I owed a R999 termination fee. However, my latest Webafrica statement shows a R0.00 balance and records my most recent payment, which appears to contradict what I was told.
I attempted to escalate the matter by email, only to receive an automated response stating that the mailbox is no longer monitored and that support is handled via WhatsApp.
I am simply asking Webafrica to:
* explain the discrepancy between the promotional price and my monthly charges;
* explain why I was told my account was terminated despite my statement showing a zero balance; and
* resolve the matter promptly.
I will update this review once the issue has been investigated and resolved.
Update (6 August 2026): Following Webafrica’s public response, I attempted to contact the email address they instructed me to use. The address returned a 550 “Invalid Recipient” error because it does not exist. I also attempted to contact their general support email, but my message was rejected by their mail server. Despite this, I still have not received confirmation that my billing dispute has been formally registered, nor have I been provided with a dispute reference number or a substantive response.
I have retained screenshots of these failed contact attempts and all correspondence should they be required.

I signed up expecting clear and transparent pricing, but my experience has been the opposite.
After paying R579, I was suddenly told I had an additional outstanding balance of R224.13 without any prior explanation. When I contacted customer support to understand the charge, I repeatedly asked what it was for, whether it would be a monthly payment, and what a "speed fee" meant. Unfortunately, my questions were not answered clearly. Instead, I received vague and confusing responses that left me even more frustrated.
Good customer service is about providing accurate information and helping customers understand their accounts. I shouldn't have to ask the same questions multiple times just to get a basic explanation of my invoice.
I hope Webafrica improves its communication and billing transparency so that future customers know exactly what they're paying for and can receive clear, helpful support when they have questions.

What an exceptional service from Jean Pierre.... Thank you so much...More than anything, all the consultants I dealt with were so good..
May you continue serving others, like how you served me.

It is next to impossible to get ahold of anyone furthermore I have attempted to cancel my service via the app, WhatsApp and phone call on multiple occasions, it keeps saying that my service is cancelled but then I get hit with an outstanding bill, do not waste your time or money with these guys, it’s easy to sign up but impossible to cancel

Webafrica is a waste of time they only care about sales I have a problem with my internet I have been struggling to get hold of them since this morning 7:30 and I only got through to them about 12:00 the afternoon and I found they put me through to support service then customer care and then to sales my got the sales they put me through again to support service and when they wanted to put me through to support service the consultant put the phone down and I'm still struggling and my internet is still off webafrica waste of time

I warn customers to carefully think about using WebAfrica. All they care about is Sales. Dont waste time in calling the 021 no nor the what's app no. We have tried for _ days to SPEAK to someone; ive made a record of dates and times. You get put through to robots and your query does not fall in any of the 3 listed categories. Tried all 3. You get asked if we want "human" help; type in YES. You then get routed to the 3 categories again and again and again. Pls dont waste time with WebAfrica; go via Vodacom, Telkom etc for wifi services. At least they are reputable and you get to speak to people.

We have a logged a call with your call centre to have our line connected due to branch that fell on line and snapped it off completely. Were told they will send out team to have line reconnected within 72 hrs and then when deadline past they closed case and said there is nothing wrong with line and its connected. This is not even a software issue where it can be disputed as this line is literally hanging so what how they concluded that its fixed maybe you can share.

I got everything fast on time, they registered me yesterday, and today the installation team came to install, after 2 to 3 hours I received an sms for activation and the password.
Am so happy for Webafrica they are really trust worthy. Even the agent Lady didn't want the upfront payment.

Reply from Webafrica
My complain was attended to immediately as the installer personally called me to inform me that he was on his way. And not forgetting how humble he was. Keep it up Webafrica. You never dissapoint.

1.Can't get hold of you telephonically. 2.Your sales lady when I enquired about an upgrade did not give me all the detail.
3. It took so long to get payment voucher and all this resulted in my household being without fibre for 2 full days.

Staff was friendly and efficient, explained everything well and the installation was quick.

After the installation of the WiFi, the installers left without finishing everything and said there's still a problem outside, they then left without the service running , however on another day,the service did start running but the installation setup is not complete, fibre wires are still exposed to rain and the weather ,also these cables are a threat to visitors and children that may visit. yesterday we did not have WiFi all day because of this setup. Can we please get an installer to come fix this problem , thank you.
