Ok for a quick meal.
We used the Weatherspoons in Douglas, Isle Of Man. The food was okayish, service was quick. Value for money. Staff were pleasant. We would go again for a quick, cheap meal.
Four Candles Weatherspoons in Oxford, i would rate it Zero but you seem to…
i would rate it Zero but you seem to give it a 1 to 5 rating.
We went into the Four Candles in George street in Oxford on Monday 7th Sept for a lunchtime meal. We have been going there on our visits to Oxford for the past 2/3 years, ever since their place at the Westgate in Oxford provided us with the worst cold fish and chip meal and poor customer service we had ever received.
Anyway on Monday this place well surpassed the previous place in the Westgate.
We arrived around 11.05 am and for the first time, went upstairs because there were so many tables with the remenants of previous occupants on the lower level that had not had the dirty cups, glasses or dishes removed.
My wife and I commented that this was unusual for here and it was not until about 11.25 before these tables were cleared. We then moved to the lower level and at 11.30 I went to order our food, we were on table 14 and I ordered a chicken bites basket, only to be informed they were out of chicken bites ( poor planning by the pub I think).
I then ordered a small fish and chips plus a large breakfast.
We noticed that all the staff were young people, unlike when we normally visit, there is a mature blonde lady with glasses who is always attentive and very helpful.
We commented that in the Westgate that the staff are always younger and do not provide a decent service, hence why we do not go there ant more.
Anyway after ordering at exactly 11.30, we were concerned by 11.55 that there was no sign of our food. I did on ordering notice a lady with two young children had returned 2 meals (the waitress walked past me carrying them).
I went to the bar to enquire and a young man said he would check for me, he came back and said that between breakfast and lunch orders, there was some delay due to cooking chips or something ( did not make sense, never heard that in 3 years of coming here before and had never had to wait that long, either in the past).
At around 10 mins later a piping hot fish and chips arrived together with a cold large breakfast.
The large breakfast had, burnt toast Cold), how can burnt toast be cold? The rest of the meal was tepid or cold. One of the eggs had a spread yoke which was rubbery.
I worked out, they somehow had cooked the breakfast and then waited o cook the fish and chips to make it fresh and hot.
I tried to call the server back but she had walked away out of earshot.
Before we moved downstairs and ordered the food, my wife and I spoke about the young staff not doing anything about clearing up the tables, so unlike when the older lady is in attendance.
After I pointed out the poor food and service, the female manager!, (again a young woman), came and said she would get it warmed up!!!
I told her it was a disgrace and she should be ashamed at serving such poor food. There was no way I was going to accept that, I asked for and got a refund for my meal, this was without an apology.
It seems Oxford fill their Weatherspoons pubs, with young staff who have no customer service experience or care for the service they provide (that is apart from the older blonde lady with glasses in the Four Handles.
I have seen the Weatherspoons boss in Henley and Portsmouth, the staff I have spoken to in those pubs say he is kind and caring, I do not doubt this. I do however think he might want to visit Oxford more often and check what they are doing or not doing as the case may be.
It does appear that in both of these Weatherspoons in Oxford, that younger staff have no customer service experience or just do not care.
I will say to be fair, apart from a round of white cold toast in Portsmouth, every other Weatherspoons experience has been good.
Youth over experience, judge for yourself, go to either Oxford Weatherspoons and chance a cold meal, poor service experience.
We could not have been more pleased…
We could not have been more pleased with the service to us provided by Zac(Birmingham Intl Airport). Whilst he was serving many customers at any one time, we really did feel that Zac was providing us with personal service. He could not have been more helpful.
We were torn between having breakfast at Wetherspoons or Giraffe. We are so pleased we chose Wetherspoons. Zac made us feel special and nothing was too much trouble. I must have asked him for service on a number of different occasions and not once did he seem fazed by it all. He is calm and attentive. We seated ourselves next to his workstation as such, and we were so pleased we did. He seemed to manage looking after our needs as well as many other customers so efficiently. For example, when we asked for certain condiments, rather than point us in the right direction, he took it upon himself to ensure we remained seated whilst he tended to our requests, which he brought right to our table. Clearly a busy time of the day for the chain, Zac worked effortlessly and made it look so easy. We were already anxious about flying and starting our day, but with a lovely experience served by Zac, we set off on our journey in the best possible way.
We would also like to thank Sophia. Sophia has a strong customer focus manner and again too was so helpful and lovely to approach. Thank you.

Albert & Lion Blackpool
Yesterday in your blackpool seafront Albert & liion pub. An absolutely beautiful lady called Stacey came up to me thinking I was ill as I had my fan on and face down she brought me a glass of water and asking if I was OK. I just want to acknowledge this lovely young lady. Most wouldn't even bother. Lovely experience at your pub
Very rude staff
Food server witch was a male was just so bloody rude should be told to get out and not be allowed any job serving to public again especially when customers are allergic to certain items that was put on the plate when requested not to then he went off and got a female to come over then when she walked off she said a very disrespectful and racist word that I 10000% heard so I will be taking this higher
Staff should get out if that’s how they gonna talk to customers.
Well in liverpool for a conference
Well in liverpool for a conference. We went in to weatherspoons for a drink. Went to pay for it with a Scottish £20 and they wouldn't accept it.
Why on earth do they not accept scottish money .
I would give it a minus if I could
I would give it a minus if I could. I took my ill husband for lunch in Newbury. We found a table on the outside pavement & were turfed out by a rude waitress who said no dogs ate allowed. I've never heard anything so ridiculous. The tables are spaced wide apart. Our dog just lies down under the table & sleeps. What is the problem with having a dog in an outside area. You've lost our business for life!
No service
A friend went to Wetherspoons cleethorpes for breakfast after a recommendation. She's elderly and blind in one eye. She ordered a breakfast and asked for a cup of tea, the bar lady pointed to the machine and said she had to get it from the machine.
She told her she couldn't use it, the server then said well that's the only way to get a drink, didn't offer to help!! So my friend cancelled her breakfast apologised she couldn't use the machine and left. Just disgusting service and how belittling for my friend.

New menus stopped grills terible menu bong know who invents this they will lose a lot of loyal customers about 5 customers in here think again
Bad customer service from the girl who works behind the bar
Weatherspoons Honiton, Devon best to avoid this pub.
If you want to avoid long queues at the coffee machines (which are always packing up) whilst your dinner is left at you table getting stone cold. Dare complain at the bar counter and the obnoxious girl behind the bar will ban you for life. She is anything but pleasant when it comes to customer service.
The branch has lost a lot of its customers as she is always banning somebody or another and they have recently reduced some of their prices to try and entice new people in. But do not be fooled the same rude and stubborn girl still works behind the bar.

I want to complain about the racist I assume manager who served us.
Firstly we were waiting at the bar whilst he had already served someone looked at us standing there and carried on his conversation with the white customer person he had just served.
When he turned to serve us we order and I ordered a small Prosecco he handed the glass which clearly had a small white mark inside.
I mentioned it and he said its steam he looked a the mark handed it me back and said it’s nothing.
Please advise me at that point why he would not have just changed the glass. I said again there’s the mark he snatched the glass a put another one down.
If we had not paid I would have walked out. He was lucky at the time we had just left me daughter and her partner as they would have called him out for the racist he was and the way he
I am 61 this year and my partner is 62. We don’t need to feel this rubbish at our time of life.
It may seem trivial but why was he questioning me and making a fuss over a glass. It would have made slightly more sense if he’d poured the drink in, but a glass that could be washed. He was flexing his dislike of a woman of colour questioning him in his pub.
I’m sure if it was his white regulars he would have ran to get another glass, or better still apologised and offered the drink on the house.
I sent this to Weatherspoons customer service
Their reply we'll ask the area manager to have a word with REALLY !

Awful food. Paid £10.71 for 12 chips, and a child's overcooked burger. Would have enjoyed it more if they had offered me the table leg. A disgrace...you should all be ashamed.
A group of 8 of us arranged to go into…
A group of 8 of us arranged to go into London and have a meal in the liberty bounds (weather spoons) in tower hill, before walking around the tower of London. we sat down in the pub deciding what we were going to eat and drink. Then we went down stairs and ordered our meals our meals were put down on the tables and all of our meals were cold my cousin had to tell the man that that hers was not edible because it was too cold and and the bloke gave us that attitude that is was not the chefs fault it was the kitchens fault and then he walked off my partner and daughter felt sick and so did some one else we did complain but that fell on deaf ears I don't think they should be serving food in there
Disgusting managerial behaviour figure of 8 Broad St Birmingham
Witherspoon pub Figure of 8 Broad St Birmingham.
Did not even have a drink. Ordered a beer, when tasted was obviously off (been drinking beer nearly 60 years), reported to staff who was prepared to refund cash as there were no other beers I fancied, but had problem due to using 50 p CAMRA token & called manager. This person was immediately hostile, refused to refund money paid, said beer was alright & then accused me of swearing at staff & demanded I leave. He came round bar attempted to take my phone from me, said I couldn't record, which is untrue & manhandled & assaulted me me while pushing me out the door. Of course I did not respond to his behaviour as aware of law. Manager had bodycam so Witherspoon should be able to investigate behaviour. I am 73 years old this was my first pint of the day. I'm sorry, that they cannot take negative feedback on their beer & £2.68 is too much for Witherspoon to return but that their managerial staff should resort to such disgusting behaviour is an absolute disgrace.
Just returned from Weatherspoons
Just returned from Weatherspoons. The value is quite exceptional. Beer and full lunch for just over £10.00.
Lovely terrace in the sunshine and decent service.
