Weather School Reviews 

I attended an online course (Aviation Weather School Part 1). The course was excellent and extremely worth while. As a PPL holder it was invaluable and gave me structure and method to my forecasting. I would encourage anyone to take this course who has their license and has some experience, and wants to build a better understanding of weather forecasting. It will definitely help understand the better days for flying. You won't regret taking this course.

Simon is an extremely experienced and knowledgeable Meteorologist, on top of being a great presenter and teacher of the Met subject matter. It makes it much easier to learn as opposed to reading through endless textbooks.

I definitely intend on attending Aviation Weather School Part 2 when I am able to.

A really excellent course, and that's before mentioning the cakes! Clear, understandable and pitched just right for the practical rather than theoretical student.I am far more confident as a GA pilot now than before Part 1, and I speak as someone who had previously been on a Met Office course. Very much looking forward to snagging a slot on Part 2.

Small classes and an excellent tutor means that these friendly informal sessions really do pack a punch. I feel great confidence in my longer term forecasting and understanding of the weather following these courses which ultimately means I can get better value out of flying. Really highly recommended course. I can’t wait for part 3!

Great day learning a subject that always came hard for me to understand.
Simon is a great teacher with such passion for the subject that you can’t help getting engrossed in what you are being taught.
It also helps that Simon has a great personality and a wonderful sense of humour.

Already booked the 2nd course because the first day was so good. It allowed me to feel far more confident with weather charts and I believe will help me understand the flying weather.

If you are a pilot of any flying machine and want to maximise the amount of tome you get in the sir then this course is an absolute must. Simon structures the day to suit the capabilities of everyone thar attends and really breaks down weather forecasting into bite sizes chucks of information that are easy to understand and apply.
Great day, great people and a great course

One of the best courses i've ever been on. I'm addicted to learning, and thought * I had a good gasp of the weather, and yet at times still found the decisions to go or not go hard to make.

The whole day was incredible from start to finish. Small groups ensured open interaction, and the possibility to talk through each pilot's individual weather related questions or scenarios.

I've come away with a much better appreciation of the weather - and a much better understanding to be able to forecast a number of days in advance.

The complex and confusing is broken down with easy, yet memorable explanations, which give constant light bulb and ah-ha moments throughout the day.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

More than 2 decades after my original PPL weather exams, it was great to attend this course to refresh my knowledge & assist me to make decisions on whether I should fly/not fly based on weather forecasts.

This is an excellent school of weather for pilots, the content is extremely useful and the courses most enjoyable. Worth every penny. Is has given me a lot more confidence in being able to plan my flying .

I would recommend the skew T course to any pilot (of any level). The series of short videos really simplifies the subject and makes these forecast charts much easier to read and shows how to make practical use of them.

Aviation weather course part 1 was very enjoyable and informative. I'm looking to book part 2 as I was very happy with everything.
It's a nice informal small group with plenty of opportunity for discussion and clarification of all concepts and expert responses to questions.

The only thing that could improve it for me would be if it took place nearer where I live.

Fantastic day, learnt so much about weather in general and the forecasting process which has given me more confidence to read and interpret the weather information we use as pilots. The small group and Simons style make for a very friendly and interactive day which was really enjoyable as well as informative.
