No certificate upon completion/Update

Completed a 2 week intensive course for Digital Skills, very informative and the tutor is excellent so 5 stars for him. The 1 star is for the company as it has been well over 5 weeks since course ended, and no response to certificate queries. This was not even the course I was after, was told I had to complete an IT course to apply for the Early Years course. No response apart from a request for feedback/review re: the course. Even my advisors are surprised there is no physical or online certificate as proof. Such a shame as we had an excellent tutor.
EDIT : Finally received the certificate June 20th, I don't know if genuinely late or because my previous 1 star review. Responses to previous queries would have saved some anxiety in interviews.

I would give zero if I could.

I would give zero if I could.
SCL Education were engaged by Exeter Chiefs RFC for the Premiership Rugby HiTZ provision, delivering a year long sports education course for vulnerable young people for whom mainstream education is not a good fit. Without any consultation, they pulled the course after 2 months, giving notice of one more day of lessons. They totally abandoned the vulnerable young people whom they profess to care for. Utterly shameful.

Bad Interview Experience - would not recommend

Applied for a role in the company - I waited 5 minutes for the interview to start online. I meet all the requirements (and role was lower than my current salary which I took due to the remote working flexibility they offer) and answered all the interview questions with competence having had 10+ years experience in the role. Interview had 3 people invited however, only 2 attended to interview me. I was told I would get a response 2 days later on the same week however, I waited end of next week to get a response. I got an email saying I did not get the job. No phone call, feedback etc. I asked for feedback but its been 1 month with no reply. Company does not respect people who made time to go, prepare and plan for the interview. The whole application process has been unprofessional and I would not recommend applying.

Appalling

Appalling. Inefficient, lazy, dismissive and rude staff.

No phone numbers to make phone calls.

Do not take you seriously as they don’t bother to reply to your emails.

Disorganised chaos.

Real shame as it lets down the sports coaches who are fantastic.

Do not recommend

SCL have been a total disgrace and so…

SCL have been a total disgrace and so unprofessional. They have not shown any professionalism and have ignored contact from parents. They have not taken in to consideration the effects of there actions to my daughter who was studying under them and they have not helped the college she was at. They have left them to figure things out on there out on their own and then had the cheek to visit on the last day and ask them about what they are doing next and then when the students told them they didnt want to talk to them. Her response was "i can see when im not wanted" instead of trying to help with there concerns. Should be ashamed. Stay away from any scl company funding. They have not paid staff and don't care about its students. Can't even make a phone call.

Awful company to work for

Awful company to work for. Shockingly unprofessional.

Put kids into programmes who don't have the grades and then the teacher is blamed when the student doesn't pass.

Teachers are encouraged to take students tests and pass the coursework.

The standard is Shocking. Do not send your child here.

Hmm….

I have differing opinions on this company. Staff are lovely. My child has a great time when she goes.
However, their booking system sucks
Not to open a booking for after school clubs until the children are actually back at school is poor, many parents need to book childcare before this date. Once the bookings opened the website crashed. If anything, it tells us how poorly managed this company is.
Buck your ideas up as your general staff are great!

Didn’t provide service. Kept all our money

Do not pay in advance. If the school closes and they decide not to keep the club open for key workers they keep ALL the money you paid in advance for services. After months of customer service that has no compassion or empathy to our situation during the crisis, we have received nothing and been told we are getting nothing. They love to use terms and conditions as their excuse but in reality they kept other venues open but chose to close ours. Do not make the same mistake we did. DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE AS THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Thumbs up from my children!

My children rarely rave about holiday clubs, & usually resist returning, but having attended Frensham Heights SCL for the 2 previous days, they request to go back again today. Max led their group, and the whole experience has been outstanding for them. Highly recommend. All the staff are lovely and they have a well rounded program to keep them entertained.

Use a different childcare provider if you can!!

Unfortunately SCL childcare has just gone down in my books as it is clear to me during these difficult Times that they are just out to con people out of their money and not provide the services. Tried to get a refund of the money I paid for services that did not go ahead because of the lockdown. SCL are refusing to refund.
The only reason I have given 2 stars is for the staff at the school who actually run the club, they are amazing. It’s a shame about the rude people in head office that have no compassion what so ever.
