An awful company never pay them

An awful company have been harassing me for a fine in Milan from 3 years ago, which I have never heard of. I dispute the fine, as the original amount was £56, not £135. I agreed to pay the £56, but they said they would take some legal action to get the extra payment. They were so awful, I paid the rest, but they are still emailing me to claim more money. You can't talk to anyone, and I've started to think this is a scam company, not a debt collector. DO NOT PAY THEM if they contact you, they are a fraud!

Updated review

UPDATE Since posting this there has been a change in the situation. I persisted with my dispute and the case was taken over by someone called Gavin. He listened to my side of things, abided by FCA regs and was very skilful with negotiating as was his colleague Helen. Further to my previous review I am satisfied with the way I have been treated and amicable resolution. As before I would still advise people to, collate facts, know their rights, tell the truth and be willing to negotiate fairly.

Partial original review …
I have reason to believe that this company is operating in breach of Financial Conduct Authority FCA regulations which its workforce clearly ignores. W&G is currently pursuing an alleged debt which is in dispute (probably because they have not gained/been given the full facts prior to action). I have sought advice and been informed the best course of action is to report the matter to Trading Standards and the FCA which is why I can’t give specifics right now. It is particularly worrying that it is stated on the W&G website that 'in reality disputes are just delay tactics’ which is also in contravention of what the FCA states:
A firm must suspend any steps it takes or its agent takes in the recovery of a debt from a customer where the customer disputes the debt on valid grounds or what may be valid grounds.
The team at W&G are always 'too busy to answer the phone at the moment’ and they don’t answer correspondence.
I would I am only posting this review so others realise they are not alone and to check out their rights and in particular how debt collectors should work. Please remember that debt collectors are NOT law enforcers and as such they need to abide by the law and are also governed by strict regulations.

Adding another BAD review to the rest!

Adding another bad review to all the others. They have sent me a claim with no details as to what the offence was (some kind of driving offence in Bologna, apparently). I have tried calling back numerous times, selecting both 'callback' options but no one calls back. Very annoying and unnerving.

Absolute shower of S@@@e of a company

Absolute shower of s@@@e of a company. Bullies, horrible unprofessional company. The people who work there are obviously too thick and stupid to get a real job and just make calls or hit a button to type out a letter.

My debt is being paid and I have it showing on my bank statement as going out every week but they harass me daily by letter, text message, mobile calls and email.

I am in the process of taking legal action for harassment, I suggest you all do the same

They are probably all too stupid and mind numbingly dumb to understand this review

Horrible bullies!

Horrible bullies!

My wife has incurred a debt which has recently been sent to this company. At no point has she disputed the debt. They have called her at work and she has arranged for them to call her back at a mutually agreed date and time. Which they haven’t done. Instead they have bombarded her with regular threatening text messages and emails. She has replied to some of these emails but the company haven’t responded to her but just continued with the threats.
In our younger years the wife and had some experience dealing with Debt agents and know where we stand.
Neither of us have any reason not to pay the debt but we hate bullies and threatening behaviour, which started straight away.

Do not use this company!

Do not use this company!! Their behaviour is appalling.
Having traced the wrong person’s identity and sent out court action notice. They initially would not retract their findings and it was left to me an innocent person (who suffered days of anxiety and stress on another level) to prove I wasn’t the person they were chasing! When eventually they agreed to this I received a curt email informing me they would no longer correspond with me on this matter. Not an apology in sight for all the angst they had caused!! Disgusting!!!!
