It seems to me you have staff investing in things they don't know much about, and there's hasn't been any there to advise them, it's just like betting on the grand national, now to get this money back it means we the public are going to suffer,and I could write a long list.It would be interesting if there was a investigation into this because there's always someone making something out of it all
It's never their job
Ask about bin collection because it's not more than monthly? Not their job. Try and get your kids into a school? Not their job? Trying to get the correct council tax bill? Not their job. Trying to get help with a nuisance neighbour? Not their job. Trying to get LADO to help with safeguarding? Not their job. Lazy, useless and incompetent.

I needed to obtain a certificate of no impedance, which I couldn't do online. So I went to the offices. Well, the receptionist was so helpful and went and found someone who could help me, who in turn was just amazing. To the extent that they even carved out a future appointment time for me from a full diary. Brilliant! Fantastic service.

Blue bin slackers
Yet again this week our recycling blue bins not emptied. The crew that empty the black household waste bins always do a great job & manage to empty the bins but the blue bin guy’s always look for an excuse not to do their job.
Have previously spoken to their manager at the depot who promised to contact me with feedback & as expected that didn’t happen either.
We pay through our council tax for this service & the council are not providing it - surely this is a breach of contract.
Poor service from the refuse department & total lack of commitment to the community.

Regarding town centre operatives who…
Regarding town centre operatives who after a brief discussion with myself came to the aid of a vulnerable person (over and above the duty of call) in a doorway. They stayed with the person till appropriate assistance came to help further and bring to a resolve which was safe.
I know that the two latte coffees were appreciated 👍 as much as I appreciated their act of kindness to help someone.

Difficulty registering my email & password details. Very frustrating & means I now have to go too the Borough Council building to register for a green bin which will now cost me a few more pounds. Not impressed.

In August last year this council took £275 from my bank account without even notifying me. I had to then take an overdraft out because this left me with no money as I am a pensioner. I have emailed them on several occasions for an explanation but had no response, I have also emailed the ceo and the same no reply. If I took money from there account I would be locked up now. They should get their act together and start looking after customers. There is more I could say but I don’t think they would show it.

Their attitude and arrogance is utterly disgusting. These people have forgotten they are civil servants and payd by hard working tax payers. They are just like Chesire Police. They think that by contacting you, they are doing you a favor. Just a joke and a shamble Warrington Council is. The worst part is that if you stand up to them, they'll make you suffer and that's bullying and discriminatory.

It pains me to write this but Warrington borough council is a shambles
They are one greedy council that is in billions of debt and no doubt poor Warrington people will foot the bill.
They have little sympathy for people in need and they are hard handed with letters threatening you if you miss a council tax payment or are late for example.
If you apply for council tax discount they tell you it’s a 12 week wait and you must continue paying full council tax even when you know that you are entitled to a discount they still insist on this putting you under pressure
If they get the discount wrong which often happens then you have to go through the process again another 12 week wait.
They are hopeless and this is all a ploy to get as much money as they possibly can off you and hoping you will give up on trying to get a discount
I ended up having to get the cab involved and when I made a formal complaint to Warrington council I was told someone would ring me to discuss my complaint which didn’t happen
A very uncaring council with staff who speak to you on the phone like a 2nd class citizen
No doubt they will go for the maximum council tax next year 2025 putting everyone under more stress to feed this greedy council who do not care for the residents and the community they are suppose to serve

Honestly? I waited for the bus X5 Saturday at 17:25 to come and at 17:30 I went and asked another driver if the X5 will still be coming or not and he said he just went pass by it! How that can happen? I've been waiting for it at platform 10 and didn't see it! Please explain! Now gotta order Uber and pay 10 times more!

I know the council are massively under funded and struggling with the variety of responsibilities they have to cover, however.. I have found the social care and financial assessment team to be wonderful, professional, informative and helpful. I could not care for my Mum without their financial help and support.. we are so grateful. To be honest I have never had a bad experience when speaking to the council using various routes of communication.. just very busy.

Council Tax Payment Failure
For the second consecutive month, I have faced the same problem of NOT being able to process my council tax online card payment due to Warrington Borough Council system’s failure to accept the payment.
When the problem occurred last month, i.e. May 2023, I contacted the Council and was assured that the problem would be resolved by the time the next payment is due, which is June 2023. Typical of WBC, the problem remains unresolved, causing much anxiety and concern due to WBC’s own failure to provide a reasonable level of service to residents.
I hope that this review would find its way to a person of responsibility, who would act upon it and attempt to resolve this predicament without further delay.
I have always paid my council tax using the same method, i.e. monthly debit card payments, and wish to continue using the same for the future. It’s the Council's duty to respond to any problems and concerns resulting from their own failure to provide a reliable service that residents can use without any difficulties.
Warrington Borough Council should issue an apology and an explanation to residents as to why it has taken over a month (and most likely much longer!) to resolve a simple online payment issue, most commonly used by all outlets.

So, in February 2023, this Council still cant operate like a post 2000 organisation.
You're the only organisation ive encountered who can be told that a property is empty and proceed to send a letter to the house (after no prior warning or notice) informing me that im being summoned for hundreds of pounds in council tax!
Youre a diagrace, in a time when financial hardship is at an all time high, you cant email or call to ask why you haven't recieved funds. Its perplexing.
Sending the 'debt' to your grubby collections company who then add 75 quid to add insult to injury after your 54 quid for sending a summons. I cant believe that alarm bells dont ring an you start to think that this resident who hasnt missed a payment in 15 years, may need contacting.

Rip off Warrington we won't be going back
I want everyone to be aware of the bus lane at Scotland Rd Southgate centre of Warrington.it is very hard to notice as you come around the bend so make sure your tyres don't even touch the boundary as you will be fined. Warrington council must make an absolute fortune out of hard working people. Maybe try making the bus lane clearer to spot but I doubt they will do that as their strategy is probably get as much money of as many unsuspecting road tax payers off as possible. We have been caught twice going shopping into Warrinton twice in the last 3 months. We didn't have a clue it was even a bus lane or on a boundary line. We will avoid the centre from now on and go to the Trafford Centre instead.
