Terrific Company with a lot of Support

Working with VoIP PBX Express is terrific. They were very quick to get the unit shipped out to us and very responsive with questions. We did have one hiccup that was the result of a miscommunication when we switched our office lines over to the new system but other than that everything has been great. They even sent a replacement for a defective unit no questions asked. The programming is fairly complicated and often requires a tech from PBX Express to do it but they are responsive and very helpful with teaching you have to use and configure your system. Specifically working with Scot has been a breeze. He's been super helpful configuring our system and showing me how to use it.

Quality Phone Systems, Quality Support, Great Company

We've been a customer of VOIP PBX Express since early 2015, and I can't say enough about how awesome they are. Their phone systems are affordable their sales and tech teams are incredibly patient and helpful. Whenever we have an issue with our phones (which is rare, but it happens) they are there to provide a solution that is both financially prudent and realistic. Most recently one of my phones stopped working and I called to get some tech support. Despite the new EXPENSIVE tech support cost ($145 an hour, 2 hour minimum) I knew they would be able to handle my issue quickly and correctly. I spoke with Jacob B. who patiently ran diagnostics and worked on the issue for over an hour. While he was working, he looked at another issue I was having with my phones and fixed that too. After all was said and done, Jacob was able to get me a new phone at a discounted rate and agreed to waive the setup costs for it. This was above and beyond, and if all their reps are like Jacob (personable, kind, professional, humorous) you undoubtedly will have just as good an experience as I did. I highly recommend VOIP POB Express for all your phone system needs.

Great service even years after the sale

We purchased our phone system from Voippbxexpress a few years ago and have had excellent service each time we requested it. I called in a panic today because our phone system was stuck in an endless loop so we couldn't take calls. Morgan was quickly able to help me determine the problem. I highly recommend them for your phone system.

Ask yourself, Do you really need the hassle? I regret the decision to go with VOIP Express every day.

I had previously left a +ve feedback. But I simply cannot say the same after having dealt with them over past 2 years.

Nobody with a small business (<100 extensions) should consider Cisco. Its madness. Yes the initial install cost is comparable to other systems, but the Operating cost in the long run will kill you.

Every change (even the simplest one) requires a Cisco professional which is 100's of dollars. If one of your phone goes bad, you cant just buy another and switch. Again you have to buy the phone and have them configure, ship and then go though hours to get it installed. We have had 2 go bad and we are just living without em because the cost is so prohibitive.

What broke the camels back was, after VOIP Express worked on our system, the system started randomly going down. WE could make outbound calls but inbound calls will drop after a single ring. Inbounds are blood supply of a small business. I paid $350 to VExpress to look at the system. They blamed the carrier. Carrier did all their tests. And besides when this issue happens, I can plug in a regular phone in the lines and make both inbound and outbound calls. They still will not own it. It got so frustrating that I asked them to either fix the system or I will rip this system out of our building and go office space on it in the parking lot. Conner accused me of threatening their employee and wanted to wash their hands off the system.

Then they asked me to sign additional yearly support contract. REALLY? I have a Samsung phone system at another location with similar number of extensions. Not a single problem for over 9 years. If something goes bad, it has a GUI, I can login and change stuff myself. Phone goes bad, go to Ebay get another one. Reconnect. No config change needed. And you dont have to call someone 1000's of miles away to remotely login into PC to do the magic noone else can do. ASK YOURSELF. IS THIS HASSLE AND COST WORTH IT?

There was another issue that I found and it has been bothering me, though I have no way of substantiating that it was VOIP Express. I recently found an additional Admin account that had been created on the PC that connects to the Cisco box. I am the only one who has ever had any sort of admin access on that box. I have however only allowed VOIP Express the remote access where they control mouse and Keyboard to fix the issues and left them unattended as it tooks couple of hours. This box is also part of our network so I literally freaked out when I saw the account. This is only a hunch, as I cannot substantiate how it got there.

Problems never resolved…

When we purchase our Cisco VOIP phone system, we wanted to use our own POE switches to connect the phones throughout our building. We were told that we needed to buy the POE switches from Voippbxexpress because they knew their switches would work and that for voicemail notifications, it was important to use them due to timing configurations in the switch. So we reluctantly purchased five 24 port Cisco POE switches from Voippbxexpress. However, once we had the system installed and setup. the voicemail notifications on the phones began to have problems. People would have voicemail on their phone but no indication on the phone. Voippbxexpress worked on it several times. The work around we were given was to power off all the switches and the PBX, then power them back on. Sometimes it would work for a while but other times it didn't. Once our service period ran out, we were told that we would need to pay for any service on the phones even though this problem was never resolved. We also had voicemail to email setup, which worked for a while and then stopped working. When we contacted them for help, we were told we would need to pay for 2 hours of service even if it only took 15 min. to fix.

PHONE OPERATION VS. CUSTOMER SERVICE

The phones themselves work fine. I do like the functions and use is relatively easy. The thing I haven't enjoyed is the customer service. Each time I have a question - weather I call or email this company - either I receive a 'we can't handle that here - you have to talk to your carrier' answer or I receive no answer at all. It's very frustrating. I have sent messages and my boss has asked them to reactivate our caller ID - and as of today we STILL do not have caller ID. Thanks, Cat - 8/2/18 this review notified the customer service department I was having a problem. This system worked perfectly - thank you so much ! my problem was resolved inside an hour and now we are up and running with caller ID. Thanks again - Cat

Hello Cat,

I was able to call Verizon on your behalf and have them activate your caller Id. Our phone systems don't actually control whether or not you are able to see caller ID that function runs solely through your phone carrier and I was able to have them reconfigure in order to allow your Caller ID to populate when a call comes through.

Thanks,

Connor Derting

Transitional Nightmare

We had a lot of great help getting started. We would have immediate response and help with our issues. But when it came time to cut-the-cord to where we could manage the system on our own, we were completely blindsided. The instruction manual given to us was 9 pages of NO help. So we requested another manual, but that was 1400 pages of technical gibberish. So what we thought we could manage on our own, now we can't because there was no reasonable instructions given to us. So if we asked for help, they were going to charge us hourly because we needed them to help us (again, due to lack of instructions). We also had an issue that wasn't resolved during our on-boarding, so we ended up having to pay their technician an 8-hour minimum for something that took him 45 minutes to fix and was suppose to be included in the on-boarding process. We have since figured things out on our own, but the transition period was a complete nightmare and thee worst few months of my life. Extremely disappointed.

Not the best support.

It took over a year to actually have our system shipped, setup and working. We are actually only 85% complete. I just got tired of the hassle.

Our fax line number actually got taken from us, and we still have no fax setup. This is two years later.

The phone system has never been completely setup. No auto attendant, no voice mail. We have adapted. Just not great.
