Throughout my time having laser hair…

Throughout my time having laser hair removal at VG Medispa Richmond, it has been an incredibly inconsistent and disappointing experience. The first three times I entered the clinic I was not asked to sign a medical approval form on the iPad but this time and the last I was. I have also had four different therapists doing my hair removal, each having a different technique. Diana herself has previously become quite abrasive in my third session when I asked whether she could shave a few hairs I have missed. The first two times I went to the clinic the therapist was happy to do this - but the third time I was told this had never happened at the spa and I was lazy for not having reached the hairs myself. When trying to complain to the receptionist, Diana continued to stand there and tell me I was wrong. The receptionist (who had shaved me before) then tried to also tell me it was something that rarely happened. Then Diana said I was trying to make the receptionist lose her job. It was a horrible experience and I was very upset upon leaving. The next time I was due to have an appointment I got there and everything was closed. I was not sent through any notification that the store was closed. I went back two days later and I took my partner with me for support. It was only when he was there that my appointment was properly rebooked - though no apology for this. This time Diana had a completely different attitude and said the only reason they stopped shaving was due to a change in the boss, though she didn't apologise and suggested I should get more laser removal as I needed it further down. The only time I have been made to feel comfortable at VG Medispa was when a lady from Tottenham Court Road came over to cover at Richmond on my fourth session. She was competent, knew the steps of the procedure and made me feel at ease during and after the intimate procedure. I have one more session left with VG Medispa and I am thoroughly relieved to be finishing the course...I won't be returning! The workers at Richmond have a lot to learn about professionalism and they should look to this lady to gain it.

The last appointment I had, the company had changed their name to 'Skinspace'. I asked why this had happened - they couldn't give me a straight answer about this. I believe it is due to all the awful reviews and to dupe more customers.

Their previous name is VG medispa

Their previous name is Skinspace UK - check out the reviews for them. They keep changing their name to scam more people. Very disappointed as I paid for a block of sessions Hollywood laser hair removal at the Birmingham branch and they kept the setting on so low throughout all the sessions that the hair keeps growing after each time. After the sessions maybe 5-10% hair has disappeared but it should be closer to 60-90%. Dishonest and a waste of money, avoid.

020 3925 3752 VG Medispa was taken over…

Dial 020 3925 3752 VG Medispa was taken over by SkinSpace. They knew exactly who I was when I called because I called from my registered cell. If you missed the name change communications email this is because you opted out of marketing emails. They booked me in right away. I am giving 3 stars because it is hard to get appointments around your schedule and you can't get the same technician. Not all of the technicians are as thorough. I had one session that lasted 3 minutes and I was told I was done so that was a wasted appointment. So really depends on the day and the technician.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. They constantly cancel appointments. They don't even have their own equipment they borrow it from their leeds branch a couple of weeks a months. It's constantly broken or in leeds and they wait till 15 minutes before your appointment to tell you.

Awful ‘business’

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Paid for a full course of treatment, booked in 4 times and each appointment was cancelled. Been trying to get my money back since March 2019. Nobody responds to emails, went in to my local branch and they say we can’t do refunds here. Won’t offer to help get your money back either. Staff were rude and kept huffing and puffing. Avoid them at all cost!

VG Medispa closed down!!!!!!!!!

I am just so shocked to learn today that VG Medispa closed down without giving me any notice! I have got 4 treatment left and today I was trying to call them to postpone my appointment to learn that the 3 phone numbers I have for Richmond branch and the others for main office appointments don't answer and line drops after 1 second!
So I called SkinCare after reading another review in here and they told me that they ''tried'' to email the customers with appointments booked but most got the email into their 'junks' mail box!
I GOT NO JUNK EMAILS! I said this is very bad service and they re-booked my appointment but I don't know if that branch is operating even if they told me to go to the same store 4 Red Lion St, Richmond TW9 1RW.
Absolutely ridiculous !!
All of the sessions they sold me were almost forced and they always tried to sell me more sessions to the point they convinced me to do my whole body lasered and spent £££££££££ and no visible results! I've been going for over 1 year and highly disappointed with my experience and seems so many more people have had very bad experiences and no results as well.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!!

TERRIBLE

I am owed two laser sessions but have now learnt they have closed down. The treatment has been a waste of time, hair growth is no different to when I started. Not to mention the whole session for legs, underarm, hollywood and upper lip took about 5 minutes. Complete waste of time. They also used to cancel appointments ALL THE TIME.

I brought a course with VGMEDISPA and…

I brought a course with VGMEDISPA and when I tried to book myself in for an actual appointment after going away on holiday I found out that they had closed. I then contacted Skinspace on Monday the 23rd of September who I was advised had taken over. The customer service agent reassured me everything was fine and booked me for today at 9:30. She told me to go to the previous address in Birmingham that I had gone to in the past. I took the morning of work and got there only the see that the place was shut. I tried to call numerous times but couldn't get through anyone. I left voicemails and I wrote an email to which I got this response
" Hi

We are waiting on an update from the Birmingham Clinic.

They are getting New Premises you see.

I have a few other Clients to contact once we have an update from them, we will be in touch lovely

I wrote back saying that this response means nothing to me and why was I given an appointment for a place that's clearly closed down. I asked for full refund. Still no response. Let's see what happens. I would personally avoid both of these clinics. Very bad customer service.

Terrible terrible service

Terrible terrible service! They use low voltage treatment in order to sell you more and when you are doing the treatments they miss some areas on purpose(like for Hollywood area they just do minimum possible) yet they got me to buy many more sessions by making me feel bad about my issue with unwanted hair. After purchasing another 800£ Worth of treatment I booked an appointment but the company disappeared, and they didn’t even tell the customers, so I was waiting for my confirmation email for weeks, and never got one from them but from another company SKINSPACE. I missed my appointment as I wasn’t expecting any email from this new unknown company! They couldn’t give me any appointment any earlier than the end of October! Terrible worst customer service and service ever!

Rubbish!

Tbh I wouldn’t even give it 1 star! They were always cancelling appointments last minute and now they’ve disappeared! Owe me one more treatment. When I was doing laser it was rubbish I’d travel 2 hours to the clinic for them to be done within 5 minutes bearing in mind no results at all!

£800 down the drain

Sessions lasted about 5 mins (for three areas!!) I was literally in and then out. The intensity of the laser was ALWAYS different. I honestly felt like they were using the machine on a low intensity so I would have to purchase more sessions. They are constantly trying to sell you more laser packages/ special deals or asking you to write a review on their website. (Which is extremely awkward when people don’t take your first no as answer and keep pushing the sale). I had 12 sessions of laser treatment a Vgmedispa and the results were honestly appalling. I was completely put off trying laser again. Eventually after a bit of research I went to a different clinic and couldn’t have been more happy with the transformation of my skin and hair growth. They thoroughly cleanse & exfoliate my skin before my laser and moistures after as oppose to a baby wipe and some aloe Vera gel before and after your treatment. I’ve never left a negative review before but for the time and money I regrettably wasted and invested in this clinic I think it is deserved. I think others should be aware to really research before you invest in laser and don’t waste your money or time like I did!!

Very bad experience

I had a very bad experience with them. I paid half of the amount for 6 treatments which is 250 pounds and 140 pounds as a deposit. I had two treatments done to now learn that they have shut down the place and can’t get through to them. I am so disappointed in them, they must phone customers and try to accommodate the treatments that have been paid for by the customers or give their money back. I will not recommend and would advise anyone looking for laser treatments to steer clear of this place. They are not professional at all.
