The experience was amazing
The experience was amazing. Samantha walked me through the entire process, she was super responsive and jumped on calls up explain everything to me. Made the experience just so much easier
I would recommend but only if you do your research on the home buying process first!
If it is your first time purchasing a house I would recommend doing a lot of research beforehand. I only would recommend the VA loan because a lot of costs are taken care of prior to closing that you would have to pay for if it was a regular home loan. I didn’t feel they had my best interest in mind when it came to the loan. They were just going to offer me the highest interest rate even though my credit was great.. in the 800s and no issues on my credit report history. Not until I got a better offer with someone else did they try and match it but prior to that the excuse was basically “….due to what’s going on overseas...” Some of the process I felt was done backwards. There was a delay on closing I felt could have been mitigated if those were one of the first things taken care of. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. It definitely could have been worse but I am so glad this process is over! The team did check in to see if I had questions but I don’t know what to ask if it’s my first home buying experience. I asked the lenders if there was anything needed from me and I would get “no we’re good for now…when there actually were things needed and there were documents I had to submit twice because they didn’t know I submitted it prior to when they asked (I guess). So for others I would advise them to research all the important things for purchasing a home and how the process works before starting the home buying process. Know what you can negotiate/ask for, and always shop around for lenders to get better deals. DO NOT ASSUME they have your best interest in mind like we do in the military. It’s a business for them to get the deal. And READ EVERYTHING IN DETAIL before signing especially at closing because there were multiple errors, and last minute changes that were made to the loan that my lender didn’t even know were changed so I wasn’t given any heads up about it. The attorney at closing was visibly annoyed that I had questions or showed him where there were mistakes on the documents. He half explained things to me but when the sellers came he gave them all of his attention and just dismissed me until they were done. He catered to them so that they can go to their next appointment but didn’t apologize for having me wait longer due to the clerk having to fix multiple documents that they had errors on. That’s the gist of it. Oh and there are things you have to pay for throughout the process like inspections earnest money and appraisals so don’t expect to not have to pay anything. Other than that, if you know this process and have done it before, this could be a great service. You just have to be hands on.

Miles Pivonka was simply the best.
We truly could not have asked for a better loan officer than Miles! From the very beginning, he was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, charismatic, and just genuinely enjoyable to work with. Going through the mortgage process can be stressful and overwhelming, but Miles somehow managed to make the entire experience feel much easier and a lot less intimidating.
One of the things we appreciated most about Miles was his patience. We had plenty of questions throughout the process, and not once did he ever make us feel like we were asking too much or bothering him. He always took the time to explain things in a way that made sense, walked us through what to expect, and made sure we felt comfortable before moving forward. That kind of patience and reassurance means so much when you are making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.
Beyond being great at his job, Miles has such a charismatic and personable personality that made working with him feel less like a business transaction and more like working with someone we had known for years. He was easy to talk to, always positive, and somehow knew how to keep things light even during the more stressful parts of the process. We genuinely looked forward to talking to him!
What really stood out to us was that we never felt like we were simply another loan or another number. Miles made the experience personal, and we always felt like he genuinely cared about getting us across the finish line and into our new home. Having someone like that in your corner makes such a huge difference.
We are incredibly grateful to Miles for all of his patience, guidance, and support throughout this journey. Buying a home is such an important milestone, and we will always remember the people who helped make it happen.
If we ever decide to buy another home, there is absolutely no question that we will be reaching out to Miles again. We would recommend him without hesitation to our friends, family, or anyone looking for a loan officer they can trust. If you're fortunate enough to work with Miles, you a're in great hands.
Thank you, Miles, for everything you did for us and for helping make this experience such a positive and memorable one. We could not recommend you enough!

I would give Blake and Julie a 100% , 10 does not come close for the fantastic job they both did. Blake from day 1 was polite and outstanding everytime I spoke to him and explained everything he spoke to me about, Julie was outstanding and went out of her way to help me with several things with the bank that we were running into problems with and Jim and I were both amazed at the outstanding job. We have not had in the past this kind of leadership to help us with the purchase of a home. So happy we Went with Veterand United Home Loan and I will for sure Pass on your information. Dawn and James were amazing and on top of getting my to do list done!
Jackson and his team were phenomenal…
Jackson and his team were phenomenal from start to finish. They were there immediately with any questions we had, and hustled to get everything done on a short notice when we were finally able to close. No unnecessary waiting or lags, and constant communication. Would recommend them to anyone, especially first time buyers like we were.
Once again the VU team came through…
Once again the VU team came through with everything we needed to make a very successful move into our new home. Thank you very much.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! I was referred to two different real estate agents. They both were worthless. Anthony Giglio owned a condo in the complex I'm going to purchase at. Had 17 years of experience and couldn't handle this simple transaction while the work was mainly done by me.
Sheryl Adan-Castillo
JMG Real Estate was in the Marines supposedly and she was completely unwilling to work and couldn't handle the real estate transactions. Plus I did all the groundwork. I already have my condo picked out.
This was the most pathetic experience I've ever had in my life And I served in the Gulf War. I'd rather have scuds blown up over my head than dealing with these people
