Not a professional platform
At the end of November 2025, I completed a building insurance application through the Verivox platform and provided a SEPA direct debit mandate. Their confirmation email stated that I would receive the insurance policy documents from the insurer within two to four weeks. This period has long passed without any delivery of the requested documents. Despite repeated attempts to check this from the platform, I have not received the insurance policy or any binding confirmation that my application was accepted and that the insurance contract is active: The document access link in my Verivox portal continues to show an error message (“Please try again later”), preventing me from accessing any documents. My Verivox account was showing no active contracts, despite the application and mandate being submitted.
I sent an email (45 days later) requesting clarification and the documents via alternative delivery, but I did not receive any response. Four days after sending that email, I called their service and was informed that from their perspective they did their job since they have forwarded my request to the ensuer. Later they have sent me per e-mail the versicherungs certificate stating that it was issued on the 9th of Dec and sent per post then. This document still does not incorporate all the details of the insurance contract and I believe if something with the contract is wrong (whenever I receive it) I will not be able to use my cancelation rights.
I do not consider Verivox a professional platform expecially comparing with other similar platforms and will not use their services again.

Incompetence personified
Incompetence personified. We asked to change car insurance from 1.1.25. They arranged the new insurance but cancelled our current insurance straight away, leaving us without any car insurance until next year. When we phoned to sort it out they told us it was our problem. And that we should unregister our car in the meantime. Absolutely unbelievable.
