URSO -be aware
In December 2025, I corresponded with Giuseppe at URSO to purchase a sterling silver set (fountain pen and ballpoint), along with an additional matching ballpoint. I was told that the set would not be available in 2026, which influenced my decision to proceed with the purchase.
When the three pens arrived from Italy, the single ballpoint appeared tarnished and I could not locate a clear sterling silver hallmark. Giuseppe initially stated that the pen had been made prior to shipping and that they had forgotten to stamp it. After I requested a replacement, I was asked to provide multiple detailed photos. He later pointed to a barely visible mark and stated that this was the stamp.
I was disappointed that a replacement was refused, especially for a sterling silver product where proper hallmarking should be clear and identifiable.
Additionally, I recently noticed that the set I was told would not be available in 2026 is still being offered on their website.
URSO produces attractive writing instruments, but based on this experience, I have concerns regarding transparency and customer service.

Thank you for sharing your concerns, which we would like to address clearly.
Regarding the hallmark, we sent you detailed photographs of the marking on the pens via WhatsApp, clearly indicating its location. The hallmark is indeed present, albeit discreet, as is often the case on smaller writing instruments where space is limited. For this very reason, we did not consider the need for a replacement.
We were genuinely surprised by the request for a return, especially considering that you had previously purchased other pens from us and were satisfied with them. We understand that the hallmark may appear small, but it is nevertheless a compliant and authentic marking, not a lack of hallmark.
Regarding the Shavuot collection, we initially planned not to re-release it in 2026. Subsequently, due to further requests, we decided to make it available again. This is a commercial decision based on market demand and has no impact on your purchase, especially since you received a special price and professional, fair treatment.
Regarding the customs duties paid in the United States, we understand your disappointment, but these are charges established by the US government, over which we have no control or influence.
We remain convinced of the quality of our writing instruments and always operate with transparency and professionalism. We regret that this experience has caused dissatisfaction and remain available for any further clarification.
