Rubbish DJ, looking at the phone most of the evening, yawning all the time , food was good though, happy to send the photos of the crappy DJ :) not recommended at all

An incompetent company that you should avoid at all costs ❌❌❌

I was forced to try and sell a shared ownership flat via Urban Moves as per my nomination agreement with the housing association but this lot are useless. Couldn’t sell water to a thirsty millionaire.

They have fundamental flaws in processes, zero ownership, won’t pick up the phone and need constant chasing for no results. I dealt with “sales manager” Steve who was at times unbearable and unpleasantly arrogant to deal with while also being utterly useless. Fittingly referred to by all parties outside Urban Moves as ‘useless Steve’ I had to remove him from my case as I couldn’t deal with his incompetence any longer and knew he was the wrong man for the job. Ended up sacking Urban Moves off altogether and went with an estate agent who’s simply better in all avenues.

Anyway AVOID this lot at all costs if you want to sell your property.

Is the first time we buy a property and we couldn't have a better experience with Urban Moves. Steve was very helpful from the beginning, and Jane simply exceptional! They clarified all our doubts in no time saving us lot of stress and money. Thank you very much for your help!

As with other housing associations, my unusual circumstances resulted in an automated system declining my application. After this however, my experience with urban moves was better than several housing associations I have approached. I was quickly contacted in person, and the team immediately understood my needs. A prompt viewing of a suitable home was arranged. I would definitely be happy to turn to urban moves for help again.

They were so helpful and informative. They always replied so fast and always kept me posted. Have recommended to my friends to use them and will continue to do so. Overall a perfect experience no problems.

It's the system more than Urban Moves. If selling shared ownership, you're required to get a RICS valuation before you can do anything else and you have no say in that valuation and it costs hundreds of pounds. Only then can you complete the resale application. Another week goes by, bear in mind I completed the paperwork immediately I received the valuation. Finally you hear from the housing association. Another week goes by and a photographer, instructed by urban moves, books an appointment but turns up at a different time so you have to lose a hour's pay to get home - the alternative was to wait days for another appointment. It's been 4 weeks since I instructed the RICS surveyor. My house is still not being advertised and the survey is only valid for 3 months. After that time, I have to pay again if the house hasn't completed. Even if it sells quickly, I have to pay the surveyor again if the 3 months / extension runs out before completion. Can you imagine having to risk the price of your purchase changing close to completion? I'm assured this never happens, so why would l have to pay again? You're tied in every direction and the only person paying is you (me) the seller. Oh, and they advertise a telephone number that answers telling you to email or leave a message as they aren't talking to customers!!!

Inefficient processes - wasted my time.
Told me to complete applications even though properties were already over subscribed.
