Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 177 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers frequently reported severe delivery delays, missed packages, and drivers failing to properly attempt door drop-offs while tracking systems remained completely unreliable. Consumers often waited several weeks for essential shipments that were repeatedly rescheduled or incorrectly flagged as having an incomplete address by the local carrier. Some reviewers were not happy with the customer support team, describing frustrating automated phone loops, unhelpful representatives, and exceptionally long waiting times. People also highlighted unexpected extra fees and parcels getting permanently stuck in various distribution facilities without receiving transparent explanations or useful status updates.

What a total waste of time

What a total waste of time. I was given a delivery time on Thursday 15th of January but there was no delivery at my door. When I tracked the package it indicated the package was in Roscommon instead of Wexford then the system says my address is wrong whilst there were no issues before with the same address. Now only God knows when is the next delivery date or if there will be any at all. Only there's no option for zero stars

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous. Terrible experience. Lies to receiver saying they try to deliver. But CCTV and door cam proves otherwise. Then say parcel is damaged. Then arrives two days after.

UPS is saying my address is…

UPS is saying my address is ‘incomplete’. I had a ‘call’ with customer care earlier and she hadn’t a clue how to help me and I need my package tomorrow

Appalling service

Appalling service. I was waiting on a package delivery. I received an email to say that my package had been delivered. There was a photo of a package at a door and location where it was left. The door wasn’t my door. And the location was about 30 km away. I spent hours trying to contact ups and trying to navigate the ups site. Had to set up an account. Automated phone service. And no way of just contacting somebody to have an actual conversation- whether by phone or email. The only option available to me was to file a claim for the missing package. Absolutely appalling. There’s zero customer service. No contact from ups. Everything is self service, so I have to keep going into my account to check the updates. The latest is that they’ve contacted the sender to issue a claim!!!! How is it the senders fault???!!! I’ve paid the sender for ups to deliver and the sender has paid them. UPS have lost the package. It’s nothing to do with the sender. Utterly frustrating. I’ll be avoiding ordering anything in future if it’s to be delivered by ups.

Zero stars if I can

Zero stars if I can. I was given a timeframe of 4 hours for their delivery. I waited in the living room if front of my window for those 4 hours. The delivery van finally came, I was waiting for him to knock but he didnt and then drove away. Consequently, he marked my parcel “delivery attempted and collect at accesspoint”.

Absolutely impossible to get any help…

Absolutely impossible to get any help from UPS for a simple query, they have scanned the package 4 times across 4 days in the same warehouse with the same status but no explanation available. Without a doubt, they have the absolute worst Virtual Assistant I have ever encountered.
Update: Now scanned 7 times in 10 days. And let me reiterate, their Virtual Assistant is absolutely and totally useless, incredibly frustrating and makes a bad experience even worse.

The Frustration of dealing with UPS

On 8th Jan got an email to say ' Your parcel will be delivered tomorrow' (9th). Drove from Donegal to Dublin to receive it. Found UPS note that they tried to deliver it on 8th Jan but would deliver again on 9th - thats ok. Then got another email saying will deliver on 12th January. Tried to phone and email - great photos of humans on phones - but no way to talk to one to verify when the delivery will actually take place. Just Bots that make no sense. UPS are the only company I have this problem with - all the others are fine to deal with.

A COWBOY OPERATION IN IRELAND

A Cowboy operation in Ireland, where the UPS Drivers throw consignments outside properties to be inevitably destroyed by rain, bird's droppings, pissed on by passing dogs, and/ or STOLEN

Clearly, there is no professional remit for UPS Ireland's modus operandi,

UPS Ireland's Drivers were not given, 'The Complete Oirish Idiots Guide On How To Deliver Parcels Correctly To Avoid Customer Outrage And Loss of Business, Written by a sensible, competent 12 year old"

RULE 1:
Never Ever Leave Consignments Outdoors

Rule 2:
I Cant Stress This Enough: NEVER EVER LEAVE CONSIGNMENTS OUTDOORS

RULE 3: Remember That The Delivery-Recipient Pays YOU The UPS DRIVERS' WAGES, and not the Shipper, THEREFORE, Show Respect For The Consignment and its Recipient And Do Your Job Correctly

RULE 4:

DONT TAKE CONSIGNMENTS OFF OF THE DELIVERY VAN UNTIL YOU GET AN ANSWER AT THE CONSIGNMENT RECIPIENT'S DOOR, UNLESS THERE IS A DELIVERY-INSTRUCTION PROVIDED BY THE DELIVERY-RECIPIENT WHICH TELLS YOU A DESIGNATED SAFE PLACE TO PUT THE CONSIGNMENT

RULE 5:
DRIVERS SHOULD NEVER TELL LIES BY MAKING UP THEIR OWN 'SAFE PLACE' TO PUT A CONSIGNMENT, WHICH MEANS AN INAPPROPRIATE AND UNSAFE PLACE, LIKE OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN, OR AT THE WRONG ADDRESS, OR AT AN ADDRESS WHICH UPS DRIVERS PRETEND THAT THE DELIVERY-RECIPIENT GAVE PERMISSION TO DELIVER THE CONSIGNMENT TO

RULE 6:

DONT RING THE CUSTOMER TO CHEEKILY ASK IF THE CUSTOMER CAN DO YOUR JOB FOR YOU, FOR EXAMPLE, CAN YOU LEAVE THE CUSTOMER'S CONSIGNMENT AT ANOTHER LOCATION OR PICK-UP POINT, AND THE CUSTOMER CAN TRAVEL TO THIS LOCATION TO EFFECTIVELY DELIVER THE CUSTOMER'S OWN CONSIGNMENT, WHEN THE CUSTOMER PAID FOR DELIVERY TO THEIR ADDRESS

YEH, DONT BE LAZY, YOUR JOB IS TO DELIVER CONSIGNMENTS IN PERFECT CONDITION ON THE CORRECT DAY TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS, AND FOLLOW ANY DELIVERY-INSTRUCTION AS TO WHERE THE CONSIGNMENT IS TO BE SAFELY PUT, FOR, EXAMPLE, INSIDE A PORCH, INSIDE THE DOOR, INSIDE A SHED, INSIDE A DELIVERY-CONTAINER

NEVER EVER DROPPED OUTSIDE

IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO YOUR JOB THEN DONT UNLOAD THE CONSIGNMENT, IN FACT DONT EVEN PUT THE CONSIGNMENT INTO THE DELIVERY-VEHICLE AT ALL, JUST LEAVE THE CONSIGNMENT AT THE DEPOT AND THE DELIVERY-RECIPIENT CAN CONTACT THE SHIPPER TO GET THE SHIPPER TO ENQUIRE WITH, UPS, AS TO WHY, UPS, DRIVERS DONT WANT TO DO THE JOB THAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO, AND WHY UPS AS A COMPANY HAVE FACILITATED AND ENCOURAGED THIS LAZY, MINDLESS, STUPID, CARELESS, EMPLOYEE CULTURE, FROM THE DRIVERS AT THE BOTTOM, TO THE USELESS AND BAD-MANNERED CUSTOMER CARE, LOCATED IN 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES WHOS EMPLOYEES HAVE NO LOCALISED KNOWLEDGE ON WHAT, UPS, OPERATIONS ARE IN ANY COUNTRIES WHERE, UPS, DELIVER

SO, UPS, CUSTOMER CARE ARE NO WISER THAN A DELIVERY-RECIPIENT WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO USE THE CONSIGNMENT TRACKING FEATURE ON THE, UPS, WEBSITE

THESE LARGE MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES ARE SO INEPT AND WASTE MONEY HIRING PEOPLE IN DEVELOPING WORLD COUNTRIES, WHO ARE GIVEN NO ABILITY TO PROVIDE RELEVANT ANSWERS TO THE END-CUSTOMER / CONSIGNMENT RECIPIENT'S QUESTIONS, INSTEAD OFTEN PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION AS TO WHY THERE IS A DELIVERY EXCEPTION, AND HAVE NO POWER TO CONTACT LOCAL DEPOTS, HUBS, OR DRIVERS, TO GET ACCURATE INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE CUSTOMER'S CONSIGNMENT, AND TO PREVENT BOTCHED DELIVERIES OF CUSTOMERS' CONSIGNMENTS CAUSED BY THE, UPS, DRIVERS' MISCONDUCT

WHAT'S THE POINT IN A COMPANY OPERATING SO PATHETICALLY?

MAY AS WELL NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER CARE AT ALL, SINCE THEY ARE MADE SO USELESS THAT YOU EFFECTIVELY DONT HAVE A CUSTOMER CARE

UPS, IS JUST A SHAM, NO INTEREST IN DOING THEIR JOB, DRIVERS THINK THAT THEIR JOB IS ABOUT DRIVING AROUND A CIRCUIT AND GETTING BACK TO THE DEPOT BEFORE IT CLOSES, THAT'S IT

THE CONSIGNMENTS' SAFE DELIVERY ARE NOT IMPORTANT WHATSOEVER

AND, UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS THE UNIVERSAL BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEM OF ALL THE LARGE COURIER COMPANIES

Useless service

Delivery has constantly been delayed due to "address information" being required according to the tracking, but there was nowhere on the tracking website to submit this info. Called the helpline which has an awful AI screening service that is near impossible to get through to a human agent, but eventually did get through to someone after about 6 calls. The person was helpful in confirming the info, and said that the parcel would be delivered the next day, however that night i get another email again saying "address info required". Absolutely useless postage service, the address was correct the very first time, we called to confirm it was correct, and now the parcel is delayed even longer for no reason. Clearly UPS have no business operating in Ireland if they cant make sense of Irish addresses and eircodes.

Absolute Joke for a Company

I have been waiting on a parcel delivery via UPS since 20th December. First delivery update said nobody to accept delivery, I was at home all day and no van delivery came to our house that day.. I contacted them to reconfirm my address which was correct on their system. Today I noticed a van on my drive. I went to front door and van was driving away and no parcel left. I checked security camera and UPS sticker on van window, driver got out of van with a box, looked at his phone, opened side door of van and put the box in the van, got back into drivers seat and drove off without coming anywhere near my front door. I have now emailed UPS again to ask what is going on as i still have no delivery. Total joke of a delivery company.

Unreliable

The worst experience with this crowd. Impossible to track your package with any accuracy or anticipate your delivery. Call center is in India and cannot assist in any meaningful way.

My parcel which was due on 23rd…

My parcel which was due on 23rd December was held at the facility in Finglas because it had "no Suite number", this is what I was told when I called on the 24th and verified on the parcel tracking systrm. All of the address detail on the shipment was correct including the Eircode. This morning the 29th of December my third call to UPS I am being told that it will deliver before close of business today.
I just checked the tracking and see a new update "delivery re-scheduled due to holiday closures at Finglas" so it is unlikely that it will arrive today. I had a choice of carrier DHL \ UPS. I made a big mistake choosing UPS, save yourself the grief and find an other carrier anyone else but UPS.

Priority delivery paid

Priority delivery paid, received a confirmation package was on for delivery on the 19th December. No arrival! I contacted UPS on the 20th by phone (call centre) who informed me the driver was too busy that day and returned parcels to the depot for redelivery. I offered to collect myself which was declined. I have contacted them everyday, with a standard reply someone would contact me within 2 hours. So missed Christmas morning giving my Child a special gift. I would not do business with any organization that uses UPS as their delivery service again. Cannot lodge an official complaint.
