Upc decides to cut the internet while I am working from home and tells me a technician will contact me. I now have to wait till tomorrow Nd make an appointment. I had anoperation so have to do home office and cannot work because of UPC ? We are in 2024 , service needs to be 24 hours Whose going to compensate for my anger , wasted time and loss of work ??? Is this a joke technicianz stopped working by 6 PM. I really cannot believe it cannot find a point of contact to make an official complaint except for this and I dont know hpw big of an impact this will create. It is apalling service , horrible

WORST ever service!

I would NOT even give one star if it was an option. Got upgrade on my internet now I have no TV since last Wednesday and Abby in your customer service told me it be a week before anyone can come out to fix it!!! YOU messed it up and I am paying you 111.00 euro a month for this! Disgraceful. Already put this up on Facebook now I am writing to Ombudsman. Not acceptable!

I had a problem whilst roaming in the…

I had a problem whilst roaming in the Baltic states - Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It worked in Lithuania but not in Latvia and Estonia. I called tech support in Switzerland. The checked that I had Europe unlimited data left. The support person sent me a sms with a new config link. Went to a wlan hotspot and downloaded it and installed it. After a delay of about 60 minutes it works perfectly.
Well done - 5 stars
Ps: I pay 50% of what I used to pay with Swisscom. 16 years Swisscom, 3 years UPC.

I really hope some people read these…

I really hope some people read these reviews before deciding to get a subscription with upc because all of these reviews are 100% accurate and I wish it on nobody! If not, good luck cancelling your subscription! Upc is always down, and customer service (if you can even reach them) treat you like scum! How this company can still legally operate is beyond me!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They literally put me on hold for several hours on the phone until I finally could speak to someone just to tell me that I cannot see my UPC product and thus I cannot migrate to Sunrise, and that my only option is to cancel the service! But then for cancelling there is a 2-month period in which I have to continue to pay this ridiculously overpriced service that I don't want!! I should add that my subscription was over! They don't pick up their calls and force us to continue to pay them. Horrendous experience with them.

With the changeover from UPC to Sunrise…

With the changeover from UPC to Sunrise I've had nothing but problems. Mobile Zone called UPC and received a confirmation that I could change my contract from 24mos to 12mos. I was there when the call was made and confirmation made. Today I receive a invoice by post for CHF820.35 owed to UPC for early termination of contract. UPC uses MobileZone as a go-between and making money with this merger. Sunrise representative admitted it all confusion for customers. MobileZone obviously knew this could not be done without penalty, anyway allowed me to sign the new contract. Since the merge with Sunrise or now again the possible split, I have many friends that have problems. New offers for better prices, all confusion - in the end both companies making money at the expense of the customer.

Worst Phone company ever!

Worst Phone company ever. worst Customer support you could imagine. I had to call them at least 30 times in the past 6 months because i want to quit and they still send me bills.
They will not help you. They do not want to solve a problem. They just keep you busy. It's time for my lawyer. I don't want to talk to them anymore.
NEVER MAKE A CONTRACT WITH UPC CABLECOM!!!

I have a contract with UPC.

I have a contract with UPC.
My internet is dreadful.
Every 5minutes crashes, needs resetting, then no connection for 24 hours.
I went into a shop to ask for help as the phone line was difficult because I only speak broken Polish.
Service engineer sorted.
Never arrived, no message, no apologies.
Still no internet.
UPC, happy to keep asking for monthly payment.

Horrible Service

Hi, I think I have never seen such bad customer service. I can understand that the product can be out of stock but the way you are treated is just not acceptable. I placed an order for a phone on 26th April and its almost a month without any small update of when can I expect it. Frustrating and horrible customer service. If you can't deliver then pls dont take new orders and save everyone from the frustration to deal with UPC.

Disaster

Disaster is describing quite well the "service" provided by UPC. I had the bad idea to start a mobile and Internet/box plan with UPC and I regret every single min. Starting with the fact I use they created 2 clients numbers and I can access only the one with Internet so I don't receive invoices for my mobile plan(as I'm not subscribed to receive them by post with letter, although I'm charged with 3 CHF per month for this service and the letters I don't receive). After I requested new sim card I'm waiting already 3rd week this card to be activated. When I reached by phone choosing English as language I had a nice talk with German speaker knowing 2-3 words in English. Later when I tried to reach there was all information only in German no other language at all. Contacted the client "service" by email and received the answer with a couple of days delay that my card will be activated soon. Clearly stated soon...no idea what soon means for UPC as I'm waiting more than 48h. Asked if soon is month or 2, maybe year....

Frustration

Enormous frustration and time lost. My UPC mobile contract ends on 30.04.2022, I got the email confirmation from UPC stating this. However, a day later, I receive a letter that my contract ends on 08.02.2023, which is nonsense. They also informed my new provider that my contract ends on 08.02.2023 and that the number can be transferred to a new provider only then, in 2023! After several hectic phone calls with the customer service, they admit the mistake. Now, the new provider can finally start the number porting, but the process takes days, a lot of time was lost due to misinformation from UPC. This means I will stay without a phone for a week. One week without a phone (or getting a new number) complicates work and life. "Thanks" to UPC.

offing myself would be more fun than dealing with this sad company

actual dogsh/t company. internet has been down for over 24h. said it was an issue with the cables in our building but the electrician fixed that and checking the status for the building online says everything should be fine, so why isnt it working. happens literally once a month at least, internet goes down for a random period of time. ive restarted the connectbox over 10 times exactly how they tell you to on the website. tried to reset it but of course nothing happens even after holding the button down for over a minute. my dad called customer service and telling him to go eat sh/t would have been more helpful than anything they actually said. feel bad for anyone reading this cus i already know the only reason youre here is because youre also having issues that theyre not doing anything about. switch providers asap to one that wont kill your connection randomly every few weeks

Impertinent fraudsters charging insane fabricated fees, blackmailing their clients

I have been a client of UPC for ten years and I never had issues with them - until 2021.
They are coming up with completely random fees that you fail to acknowledge because they do not even bother to inform you that there is an open balance, they don´t even send an invoice or a reminder but on top of it charge Mahngebühren and eventually disconnect the internet! When I called in they said it was my responsibilty to regularly check their invoices online! I didnt even have an account! Asking them to explain what the alleged amount was for, NONE of about FIVE people at their hotline was able to give an answer! Instead they insisted I had not paid the monthly bill which was provenly wrong! When I kept on asking they got impertinent and hung up. Ending up being forced to study their muddled and completely absurd billing for the past months I figured out they had charged me a fee of 90 CHF which at the time had been withdrawn plus other unexplicable amounts. Due to this insolence I was forced to pay another reconnection fee - 90 CHF - plus the unrightful amount they had charged before - because I needed the internet! After the payment the account said my balance was ZERO. One month later they charged me another amount of 45 CHF in addition to my monthly fee!! Plus another Mahngebühr 25 CHF! The description on the invoice is always the same: "Open balance from prior bill"! There is no way of getting proof or even explanation for the outrageous fantasy fees they are charging - which are mentioned in no contract I ever signed! I canceled the contract immediately which is also ridiculously enough only possible via phone.
And yes - the internet failed regularly, but that just being one of the minor issues considering the rest of the experience..

Dishonest

Dishonest - they promise things (like you can quit anytime) but then you find out that you need to pay a fortune to change company... or that you can freeze the service for a few months - but then you find out that you pay even when you freeze it...
On top of it they are not cheap for what you get!
Unfortunately the Internet sector is not well regulated in Switzerland.
