Universal Resort Club - Avoid their "Bonus Week" rental program
I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with Universal Resort Club’s bonus week rental program. Six months ago, I was induced into a program to rent out 8 bonus weeks that I owned. The company firmly promised that they could easily rent these weeks out for $1,500+ dollars per week. However, to participate, they force you to pay an up-front fee of $400 per bonus week. I explicitly requested a consignment agreement—proposing that they simply deduct the $400 fee from the $1,500+ payout once a week actually rented. They completely refused this logical arrangement. Instead, they insisted on a mandatory, up-front payment of $3,200 to proceed. After taking my $3,200 up-front, the communication has been abysmal (non existent), and the promised returns have also been non-existent. It has now been 6 months, and not one single week has been rented. Every promised time line has passed with absolutely zero results, zero rental offers, and zero return on my financial layout. This program appears designed to collect steep, up-front fees from owners rather than actually renting out vacation weeks. Do not trust their promises of high rental returns, and do not pay them any up-front money.
