I booked a Dating Event via Eventbrite. I was not told the location until less than 1.5 hours before. When I arrived at the restaurant they told me that the table was booked for an hour later than the event time but I was welcome to stay. As the table was booked for five people, I decided to stay. To cut a long story short, no one turned up. I spoke to a friendly Unified Dating agent who told me the event would be rescheduled.

I confirmed that I would attend the rescheduled event but given my previous experience of sitting on my own in a busy restaurant with no one turning up and the shaking heads from staff there, I asked to be told in advance if the rescheduled event would indeed go ahead. I received no answers to my emails until the day of the event, and rude texts to my question the night before. I was told 2 hours and 10 minutes before that the event would be rescheduled.

I also had a different booking. I was told of the location again 1.5 hours before, not as advertised by 2 hours before. I arrived and one other person attended who, however, had expected a different population group. I had not been told that the person identified differently from how the event was advertised.

I was offered two vouchers for future events after attending with no one there but of course, they are useless if events do not happen, or not as advertised.

I found on Eventbrite that within Brighton and a radius of 26 miles around, Unified Dating had advertised over 50 events for just one particular date (18.10. 2024). One can see from this how likely it is that there will be enough attendees. Tickets are not refundable and events will simply be rescheduled, thereby keeping the system going.

This outfit will steal your money and they are open about the fact from the start on the terms and conditions. I paid £16 for an event that was cancelled 2 hours before it was due. I asked to be put on another event but customercare@unifieddating aren’t replying. They have my money and won’t refund or put me on an event I can go to.
Please be careful. As you WILL loose your money.

Arrived maybe 5 mins late. Yet there was no one from my section. Only one person from another section. Just very bad to pay to attend something like this travel across the city and not get a refund. Their policy is stupid.

I paid £16.99 for the 7.30pm event in Winchester on 4th October 2024. As per the reviews here, no venue address was given in the e-ticket, and I got an email 2 hours before the event was due to take place from 'Muhammed' stating that it was being re-organised to 18th October. This company has a carefully worded 'no refund' policy, but of course T&Cs and contracts do not give a company carte blanche. They also apparently do not offer any form of service even when 'events' take place i.e. they book a table at a pub and nil else, with no-one present from their company and often only one or a handful of people at the event, clearly inadequate for a singles night event. Their website is also geared to offer a very large number of events (thousands) to get ticket sales, which is designed to maximise income, and obviously would dilute the number of people per event so it isn't viable as a singles night. I therefore requested a refund which was unsurprisingly refused. I will now get a refund from PayPal and will make a complaint to Oxfordshire Trading Standards, as this cowboy outfit company is registered in Oxford. I note from the reviews by Jax S and John that there may be at least two other people in addition to me who were scammed at this very event! My learning is- always check review sites first!

Absolute SCAM- DO NOT pay or buy tickets. We turned up and there were 4 women (including my friend and I) and 1 man. A table had been booked at a restaurant for 5 people. The event should have been cancelled with so few numbers. We wasted our time turning up at 19:30, went all the back home. At 23:18 we received an email saying the event has been rescheduled! After the event had happened! They have refused to refund me. Not a real company. AVOID!

Event rescheduled 2 hours before! It’s now on 18 October. After reading these reviews, I am expecting this to be rescheduled too. Will be reporting to Action Fraud and Trading Standards if I do not get what I paid for. Wish I had read these reviews first.

The communication abysmal. I have requested a refund as i feel like this is a scam ! Have not been told where the venue is and no longer want to attend. How can you tell me 2 hours before hand where the venue is ??? I have reported this to my bank as fraud and will be taking this further. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!

SCAM. I booked an event less than 3 hours before it was due to start. No venue was shown. With two hours to go I received an email stating the event was cancelled and offering me one that evening that was 4 hours drive away.
They then refused a refund, stating they have a no refund policy and that the event was not cancelled but "rescheduled". Lots of their events seem to be cancelled and the venues do not appear on the ticket. Eventbrite refused a refund but Paypal gave me an immediate refund.

Arrived at the event. Informed by the waiter that there was no booking. Few minutes later I received a phone call informing the event had been cancelled and reschedule( a date I cannot make). 2 others attending had cancelled. But why then had the event not made a booking????.
Having Travelled 40mins, parking and effort, I was extremely disappointed. I have received a 50% refund but refusing to give 100%. Offered 2 tickets for other events but won't be going. Even the waiter informed there are never many that turn up.
Found the whole experience very off putting.

Paid money no indication where the venue is, they contacted me and said there is only other men there. I said then that kind of defeats the whole reason i am going. Tried to use the credit to book a different date but got ignored can't get through to them they have taken the money. Won't do this again. Avoid.

The best £16 pound I have spent as it cannot get worse than this. The lady that you get a call from GABERIAL is totally useless. They cannot even put a company logo on the tables where the events are. Only one person turned up at the event. You cannot get worser than this. At least its good experience to weed out companies like this who are appalling. There is an article in the papers about Unified dating aspirations which could not be further from the truth from my experience. GABRIEL read your views and get real !

Myself and my friend got tickets at beginning of August, the event was rescheduled at the last minute, so we tried the next event 2 weeks later, that was rescheduled again at the last minute. We firmly believe this is a scam . Don't waste your money/ time. Very disappointed. No refunds either, if this was a legitimate company it would have no problem giving refunds, 9th of August then 23rd August. no venue for the second attempt.

Scammers. They do not offer refunds and what they do is take your money and at the last minute they will tell you the event is postponed. They will tell you that you can use the ticket for the postponed event and guess what, that event won't happen too! These are basically non existing events!

Booked to go on an event yesterday evening, Friday 30th August. I queried if the event was going ahead on Wednesday and was told "yes" on the company Instagram via message. Paid for a hotel as I do not live local.

Queried when the location would be available yesterday. I received an event stating the event location would be posted at 17:30pm. After this time had passed, I emailed again as the location wasn't posted. I received an email at at 17:58pm saying no one was coming and it was being cancelled and rescheduled. I have all online communication as proof.

I received a further email at 18:28pm as a generic email stating the event would be rescheduled. I have already requested a refund. I feel the event was never going to happen. I had read a few reviews prior but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.

Company praying on single people not wanting to use online dating to meet people. I would give 0 stars on this experience.

Edit to unifed dating:

I chased you up prior to the event time for the location. You rang me and gave me excuses of why "3" other people cancelled a few days after the event was "rescheduled".

I have asked for a refund and to not be placed on another event.. imagine my surprise when I look on Eventbrite to see you have indeed added tickets in my name to another event. When I explicitly told you twice I did not want to be placed on another event.

Getting this as a response at 17:58pm:

Nobody turned up aside from myself, no refunds! What an absolute con!
Very polite lady on the phone mind, you will be told that you get two hours notice about the location, I received it 8 minutes AFTER it was meant to start, I have all the correspondence, I took photos of the location where you are meant to meet. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Way to prey on the single people!

This company is a scam, do not book. I would give 0 stars if I could as the event did not take place. The company essentially take your money to book a table in a venue, and are not there to host. We arrived at the venue and there was no one at the table. The hostess said no one had shown up. The venue chosen had very loud music which would have made a conversation difficult and it was not inclusive. Tried to call the company and there was no answer. Exchanged text messages just to be met with evasive replies and a stinking attitude. Do not waste your money.

Total con, bought a ticket and they happily took my money for an event that didn't exist. They didn't even bother sending an address for the event, took the money then silence. Criminals.
The response is untrue.
I also have your emails, rather rude in tone. Also your messages which are contradictory and clearly show you guaranteed the event was happening, although strangely enough you refused to say where, then a few minutes later all of a sudden no one is going.

This is a fraudulent organisation preying on people's desire for meaningful connections. It is such a shame because it seemed like a great idea but the execution is so horribly poor. Their modus operandi is to postpone meetups because people have caught up to their fraudulent ways and they just don't have the numbers. They also don't offer any refund after postponement but a voucher to their event that either doesn't hold or as many people already posted have only a handful of people across the different segments.

This company is a complete SCAM. Don’t use them. Would give no stars if could.
They don’t even pay the restaurant / bar where your event is any money. So the money you pay just goes to them for what?! No representative at the event so not entirely sure what you are paying for.

Me & my friend (2 females) booked to attend a drinks evening. The first date got cancelled and rescheduled at 18:00 hours on the day of the event - due to start at 19:30.

We arrived on the rescheduled date, having followed their instructions to confirm attending, to be the only ones there. After 15 minutes I contacted their customer services to be told wait as males are on their way. By 20:30, 1 hour after the event had started, still no body else had turned up.

All customer service kept saying was stay as several males were on their way.

Nobody turned up. Requested a refund in the circumstances, given this was the rescheduled event and I didn’t get what I paid for. The customer service lady said my case would be reviewed on the Monday as they offer refunds in certain circumstances.

Didn’t hear anything. Chased 3 times. After chasing again, 16 days later I get an email saying no refunds, but I can go to another event. What a joke!

The customer services then did the equivalent of shouting by telling me I signed the terms & conditions, but put it in bold and underlined it!

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED CASH. THEY ARE JUST PREYING ON SINGLE PEOPLE

EDIT: I called the manager of the venue and he confirmed nobody else turned up. Conveniently only have this scam company’s word for it.
