This is where I go to find caravan sites

This is where I go to find caravan and camp sites.
Has good search filters to select the kind of site you want, seems to have a lot of varied relevant feedback to a lot of campsites, and allows you to contact the sites directly as well as contact initially from the site finder.
It isn't the most sophisticated website, but it works well.

Poor admins

Site claims to be up-to-date; but password resets go unanswered for weeks on end; and viewing forums is broken if you manage log in. Date listed as today but experiences over a year or more.

Not up to date website. Avoid.

Disappointing, out of date website. UKcampsite.co.uk does not let you have access to your account details to update your own campsite details as a campsite owner. It refuses to remove my campsite details when requested.

This is utter rubbish, there is nothing out of date on our website.

We have been in touch with this campsite owner numerous times over the last two days, and repeatedly asked her what she wishes to update on the listing.

She refuses to tell us, instead just demanding the listing is removed without giving us any reason for this.

If the listing is incorrect or out of date as she claims, it would take her two minutes to actually tell us, so we can correct it, far longer than it took her to write the lies in this "review". We invite her again to respond to our emails and actually tell us what is "out of date"

Very sad.

VERY BAD experience! Untrustworthy! AVOID!!!

Very bad experience with these guys, two brothers who run the site.
They were advertising a closed campsite that I had just acquired and I requested the login details. They never gave me access to the advert but decided to update the advert with my details, making it look like it was open. This has caused us extreme problems with our local council.
These guys ignored multiple emails (15) and requests from me to delete the advert, causing me unbelievable stress. These guys just don't care, they just want as many adverts on their site as possible to get more advertising revenue.
Thank you to the two individuals for the worst few weeks of my life!

Find an alternative site!

The forum aspect of this site is truly dreadful, and that's purely down to the admin/mods! I join about 6 weeks ago to get some advice from like minded individuals who would have actual real-life experience of the type of equipment I ought to be looking to buy and, what I thought would be, honest appraisals of campsites both here and abroad.

A number of my posts were heavily redacted, some even deleted, for daring to disagree with and trying to engage in some kind of adult debate where my opinion differed from other forum members.

My latter posts then 'mysteriously' stopped being published and I could no longer start other threads, which is fine if that's how they wish to run their site/forum. I realise it is not a democracy but this smacks of socialist left wing totalitarianism!

So much for people being able to exchange information freely amongst themselves and other like minded individuals but I guess the website owners have their price and have sold out. Shame on you. I hope you realise you are doing NO ONE a service and just lining your own pockets at their expense.

If you want my advice (free and unredacted) then find an alternative forum/site or start one yourself. Hey! That's not a bad idea... 🤔

Awful deceitful company.👎

UK Campsite.co.uk should be ashamed of them selves. They only publish positive feedback and probably make most of that up themselves. They are giving false impressions of dreadful campsites ruining people's holidays including mine. Don't believe a word this company's says they are total liars.

Don’t bother using UKCampsite

Don’t bother using UKCampsite. They clearly only publish positive or reviews with an overall high star grading. I have always turned to their site for what I considered to be honest reviews, but after trying to post a negative experience we’d had at Mr Moos in Skipsea (after booking it on the strength of reviews on UK Campsite), stating that it is was a lovely clean site but unfortunately like camping next to a racetrack and giving it an overall low grading as it was that bad we packed up and left after 8 hours of constant traffic speeding past (it was listed as quiet & rural, which it obviously isn’t!) and finding that UK Campsite were reluctant to post it until I submitted balanced reviews on other campsites first. I didn’t use bad language and even pointed out the positive points of the site.

A review is a review whether it be good or bad.

They were trying to force me to positively review other sites before they would consider my negative post. Why do they think they have the right to act as judge and jury?!

I will never use them again.

UK CAMPSITE ? Not for me !

I have ( read HAD ) been a registered member of UK CAMPSITE since 2013 and have been active on the forums since my date of joining - UNTIL NOW !
Recently I noticed that my posts were going unanswered and then discovered that some of my posts had been deleted . I was also unable to create new topics which basically made the forum un-useable . Fearing a computer problem I logged into my wife's UK CAMPSITE account and hey presto - no problems at all - funny that??
I made Numerous attempts to contact the webmaster ( web master !! ) and forum admins via the sites ''contact us'' facility, I even resorted to putting posts on the forum asking the admins to contact me - GUESS WHAT ? - no replies received !
I then tried their Facebook page and noticed that I was unable to make any comments / likes etc on existing posts and was also unable to post anything on the pages.
I again asked my wife to log into her Facebook account and hey presto - No issues ...

Somebody playing childish games at UK CAMPSITE ??
No correspondence from the sites admins , no indication that I had been banned or placed on the naughty step.

Finally today - I have had enough and requested my account be deleted...There are plenty more forums on the web.

UK CAMPSITE - If you can't be bothered to communicate with members but have time to play games at members expense then crack on without me.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UK CAMPSITE TO ANYONE.

The Old Brick Kilns Campsite Barney

The Old Brick Kilns Campsite situated in the village of Barney near Fakenham has my highest possible recommendation for a long or short stay. The site is run by two professional family members and an equally professional team of cleaning staff and general site workers. All are ready to help at a moments notice if a problem occurs. There are ample washrooms all kept spotlessly clean and easily accessible waste disposal drainage. The site has a fishing pond and access to an abundance of wildlife as well as being friendly and relaxing to holiday in.

The first site I look at when looking for campsites.

The first site I look at when looking for campsites.

I've used the UK Campsite website for some years, it is somewhat dated in its layout and design but it does what it is there for and makes finding and assessing sites easy.

I will say you do see an increasing number of sites who are clearly adding their own fake reviews. I know such things can be dificult to police but it does devalue the site. Luckily its usually very clear what is genuine and what is fake so its fine if you read between the lines.

Been going downhill for years..lots of members no longer post!

I have been a member of ukcampsite for 13 years and watched it go slowly downhill. There is no consistency regarding what is acceptable to post in the eyes of the employees. It could be a simple post but if they don't like it , its gone. They deny they have done anything and say it must be something wrong at my end. I have had my computer checked and there is nothing wrong at my end. If you stay logged in they are able to prevent you from posting for as long as they deem fit, could be hours or days and again they deny this even though many members complain about this and again this is denied and it must be something at my end. At the end of the day it makes you wonder the validity of all the site reviews as others have mentioned on other social media?

Better in the past?

This website seems to have gone downhill over the last few years. Forum links no longer seem to work, and now even the contact us page just yields a white page when completing it. Have seen suggestions to use different browsers but this doesn't help here either.

We have asked ukcampsite to remove an unlawful negative review left by a motorhome owner who stayed at our holiday park in August 2017. the m/h owners shouted foul language across our park with children present, attempted to cause criminal damage to our park, also shouted threats, "we will close you down" & "you will die of cancer" the police were called to remove the m/h owners from the park, which they did immediately.
As revenge they left untrue reviews on TripAdvisor, Google, & UKcampsite, however T/A & Google have removed the review. but ukcampsite are reluctant to follow suite, despite explaining on many occasions the review is false and is open to defamation....

August 2016, I visited a campsite l …

August 2016, I visited a campsite listed by ukcampsite.co.uk This is a web site dedicated towards camping sites, finding them, searching for them and reviewing them.I have used this website for years, I have trusted the review page, for years, not anymore !

A large part of its "operation " is a campsite review section. Its very similar to a well known holiday/hotel/restaurant review web site.

I had found a campsite on the ukcampsite.co.uk web site, which suited our trip. I had used their search facility and their review page to chose a particular campsite for part of our summer holidays.
At this campsite, shown on the ukcampsite.co.uk, search and review page, there was a very disturbing incident involving my children and a number of older men. I posted a review describing the incident on the ukcampsite.co.uk, site review page. I heard nothing from the website, I was not told the review would not be published, or that it had been moderated, or redacted. I also posted a review about another campsite we had visited at the same period, that review was far more POSTIVE, that review was published soon after posting. From August 2016, right through to December 2016, I kept checking the ukcampsite.co.uk, website, my NEGATIVE review was never published, however POSITIVE reviews were published by ukcampsite.co.uk .

Following the very negative reaction from the owner of ukcampsite.co.uk to my genuine, truthful and accurate review of ukcampsite.co.uk, I have found that the POSITIVE review of the good campsite has been removed. I have checked my correspondence from ukcampsite.co.uk and have found a receipt from that website, timed and dated FOR THE TWO REVIEWS, it says

" Many thanks for submitting your campsite review.
Your review will now be considered for publication. Please note in busy periods, due to the massive number of submissions we receive, there may be a delay before your review is considered, although we will do our utmost to get to it straight away."

This new evidence will be submitted to TUSTPILOT.

So a very poor customer service experience. The only reason they got one star is for their search facility, they lost the other four because of a complete lack of trust with their review policy. Following my review to Trustpilot, the individual who runs the ukcampsite.co.uk website tried on three separate occasions to have my truthful and accurate review removed. I followed the "compliance " protocols insisted on by Trustpilot and they were satisfied with the evidence and published my review. Well done Trustpilot. However it did not stop there, on one day, in a fifteen minute period I received five notifications from Trustpilot, there had been five replies from ukcampsite.co.uk. That is unreasonable and excessive. We the general public use "review" websites like ukcampsite.co.uk all the time. We the general public place a certain amount of trust in review websites.Sometimes the websites get it wrong, I accept that. However some review websites have a strong and robust system for dealing with "irregularities" or "compliance issues " like for example TRUSTPILOT. However sometimes there are those websites that offer a very poor customer service experience, sometimes it goes further than that and your experience of that website indicates that there are quite serious trust issues, and issues of veracity.

We give up. We have advised TrustPilot that this review is fabricated and contains untruths yet they seem unable to take action to correct it. Suffice to say this reviewer has not had the experience of our website that he describes, and cannot and has not provided TrustPilot with any evidence of his fabricated claims. His comment that he submitted multiple reviews to us and only got the positive one published is just a lie. What a shame some people do this when they have a grudge. If someone wants to make unsubstantiated and serious allegations about "children" and "old men" , rather than expect an third party website to publish such libel with no evidence whatsoever, we quite rightly suggest they take such serious allegations to the Police.

We tried to get TrustPilot to see sense, but what can you do, computer says no. It's confusing to read comments about "bullying and intimidation" - none of our staff members have had any contact with whoever this person is (and no idea who he is!) - all we have done is use the process provided by this website to contact TrustPilot to get an inaccurate review corrected - so I guess it's TrustPilot's process that he finds intimidating, perhaps they could look into that.

Fortunately we have over 180,000 other campsite reviews - good and bad - from our users, which illustrates that the above comments about our website are complete nonsense, and means UKCampsite.co.uk is the best and most comprehensive website to use to find your perfect campsite!
