Lies

I ordered a large item from Argos on the 2nd May, I was informed that the delivery would be made “on or before 9th May”, I waited for a follow up email but when no contact had been made by the 8th I decided to call the UCLservices (actually, I didn’t originally decide to call, but as the Track Your Parcel part of the website couldn’t find my order I had no choice - remember the website not finding my order later it’ll become clear why not) anyway I couldn’t get anyone to answer my call so I decided to call Argos Customer Service instead.
Later that day I had a call from UCL telling me that they were behind on deliveries due to the bank holiday so I wouldn’t get the parcel until Wednesday 14th.
I explained that day wasn’t great for me as I would be at work.
This was my favourite part of the conversation
UCL “oh, so would you like the delivery after 5pm?”
Me “yes, that would be perfect “
UCL “we don’t deliver after 5”
Reluctantly I agreed that if leave my side gate unlocked and they could leave the item behind the house.

When I got home at 3pm that day I was disappointed that no delivery had been made so I rang UCL, they told me that the van had broken down and they couldn’t deliver.
I was led to believe the delivery would be made the next day Thursday 15th- it wasn’t!
I rang on Thursday morning, the man I spoke to said he’d call back in half an hour… he didn’t!
I rang again and spoke to a lady (who was very nice tbf) she told me delivery would be made Saturday 17th and they’d message me.
They did!!! They emailed me, the text me and they even rang me!)
And they even rang me on the morning of delivery!
And delivery was made and they did a decent job of it.
My low rating is due to the lies told!
They were never going to deliver the item on or before the 9th! They simply didn’t have it to deliver (hence why I couldn’t find my parcel on the website)
They didn’t breakdown- they were never coming in the first place.
I left my property vulnerable because of these lies.
The ironic thing is, it actually suited my needs that delivery was made on the Saturday in the first place!
I’ll give one star because they did get the item to me in the end.
They really need to work on their customer service, it’s dreadful.

Not great

Recently had the unfortunate experience…

Recently had the unfortunate experience of being harassed by 2 male drivers. I must not have been driving fast enough (at the speed limit) for them to tailgate me, pull along side me to give me a load of abuse then swerve dangerously in front of me. Nice way to try and intimidate a woman driving on her own in a company vehicle! I hope management review the dash cam footage of this incident between 9:05am and 9:20am Sunday 4th May bribing from Hednesford to Cannock on Eastern Way. Rang the office and left a voicemail, I will await a response from management.

I recently had a bed delivered

I recently had a bed delivered, and the two young men who handled the exchange did a fantastic job! They were professional, efficient, and very careful with my property. They made sure not to damage anything and were a pleasure to deal with.
However, my previous experience with a different team from the same company was disappointing. They arrived much later than promised, delivered a damaged bed, and left in a rush.
One area for improvement would be better communication—receiving a delivery confirmation only one day in advance can be inconvenient.
Overall, today’s team deserves 5 stars, but my experience with the company as a whole has been mixed due to previous delivery team from 22/2/25.

I wasn’t home at the time that my bed…

I wasn’t home at the time that my bed had arrived, so my step dad had taken it in for me but i appreciated that the lovely man who delivered my bed called me to confirm that it was in fact delivered! thank you so much for employing patient and trusting staff!

Nice polite guys , wouldn't put wardrobes in spare room said it had to be a hallway. Not got one , so left in conservatory. We were told will leave in room of our choice .

Poor

Poor! Had a telephone call the day before delivery to say that it would be with me between 3-4pm at 7.10pm I got a phone call of the delivery driver to say it would be another 20mins. After all that? They lied and tried to tell me they had rang my number a few times and got no answer … no they didn’t! I refuse to be made out to be a liar!!!! Their head office the two phone calls I made went to voicemail- left messages around 4.30 ish and didn’t get a reply. So much for their customer service!

Disappointed with service

I had a bed delivered by this company via My Divan Bed. I was moving into a new house and planned my bed to arrive a few days after I loved in.

This worked out well as I then got a message from UCLS saying my delivery would be the next day. They did not arrive after several calls to My Divan Bed and attempted calls to UCLS.

When my bed did arrive a few days later it turned up at 9pm. The bed was then wrong and when the re-collection was arranged the drivers damaged my stairs while removing the bed from my house.

I emailed pictures of the damage and was told I would get a call back about the situation.
I did get a call but missed it being at work. I called straight back once I was free to which I was told I would get a call back in a few days.

Is has now been 2 weeks with no follow up call or courtesy call to reimburse me for the damage caused.

If I could score a 0 or a minus

Still waiting for my delivery that was meant to be here on 07/02/2025. I kept an eye out on the tracking on their website I was drop 7 but completely missed me. I rang and asked why then they gave me 2 excuses. One was that the van broke down and the other one was that the van was too small. Then went on and said it would be delivered the following week on 14/02/2025. Which I said was unacceptable as I'm sleeping on my mattress on the floor (and still am) which isn't good as I suffer from back pains. Then got told I would have a call back after they spoke to the manager. Never got a call back and I had to ring them and asked what was going on and then they used the oldest excuse in the book 'I couldn't get through to my manager'. They then said they would attempt to deliver it the following day.

08/02/2025- I rang several times, no answer It turns out they aren't open on Saturday but on the website, it says Monday-Saturday 09:00-18:00, and nothing explaining if it's the office that's open or just deliveries.

11/02/2025-I rang them and explained that I would like my bed the following day or the day after that and they said they would try and sort it out. Called again later in the day and asked about it and I said I want it in 2 days before a certain time.

12/02/2025-Rang them this morning and tried turning it on the company that I got my bed from and I said no it's your fault. Explained that I would like my bed tomorrow by 3pm.

No call backs, no replies to emails, falsey advertising that they're open 6 days a week. Trying to turn it around on the other company and letting them down. It's unacceptable and it's not right that they don't care about their customers or the companies that they're partnered with. It's ridiculous!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

If I could score minus I would

If I could score minus I would. Expected a delivery around 12 didn't arrive called several times told different stories and no communication at all. Daughter suffers with bad back and currently sleeping on the. Floor as still waiting for bed to arrive. Avoid this company no compassion and break promises of call backs
