Great tool for teachers as well as students. I have had many great students through Tutoroo who are still with me years later. Best tool by far!

Terrible company, absolute scammers! They very clearly write their own reviews on here, but look at Reddit and Google and you will see the truth. They work hard to delete genuine reviews on here, but I won't make it that easy for them.

Please beware of this before handing over sensitive information- such as your name, card details and so on.
1- They’re advertising tutors in your area that are not actually available. You will be forced to pay them before you can schedule in a session- only for the tutor to be unavailable and the company trying to force you into doing online sessions instead.
2- they KEEP all the money you pay them , they DON’T pay the tutors any commission for this!! This is exploitation at its finest. (read posts on reddit, google etc...!)

I’ve had a horrible experience with this scam of a company! And it seems like they’re getting lots of fake reviews on here (see the warning next to the name !!)

They are desperate for cash and wanted to keep my money, even though they could not provide the service that I had requested and that they had advertised!!!

I asked for a refund - since they were unable to provide the service I had paid for - and they refused to do so, claiming that I could choose online tutors - none of which were local (although their profiles claim to be!). I had to dispute this with my bank and WON. Then, they ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE MY CARD AND MY BANK HAD TO SEND ME A LETTER TO WARN ME THAT THEY WERE STILL TRYING TO UNLAWFULLY USE MY CARD WITHOUT CONSENT. I had to change my card. Never used their services.

They are unethical, awful people. I strongly advise you to google them - before you part with your money.

This is a genuine review and I will provide evidence to this. If they can give themselves fake 5* on here, I will give them a real 1*.

Tutoroo is a great platform for both language learners and tutors. Learners can easily find tutors who match their goals and learning style, while tutors gain access to a global pool of motivated students. The platform's simple, user-friendly system makes it easy to connect and build long-term learning partnerships.

Initially, I was not convinced about the system but honestly I have to say that the experience (it is the first that the company gives me a studente) was excellent. Hope to get more students to be able to expand my language (spanish) in NSW, particularly country side. I live in central coast, NSW and not everybody have access or the posibility to go to Syndey to learn.

Tutoroo is great at communicating with us as tutors. Quick and helpful, always there :)

My experience with Tuteroo has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a package for face-to-face tutoring lessons, hoping to find a qualified tutor. However, the service has a significant flaw in its business model: it requires payment before confirming a tutor's availability.

After I had paid for the package, I was informed that the tutor I had selected was not available. This business practice is misleading and puts the customer at a disadvantage. To make matters worse, my requests for a refund have gone unanswered for over a month.

I am now in a situation where I have paid for a service that was not rendered, and the company is unresponsive to my requests for a refund. I would caution anyone considering using Tuteroo to be aware of this risk. Their policy of taking payment before confirming tutor availability, combined with their poor customer service, makes them an unreliable platform.

I cannot recommend Tuteroo based on my experience. I hope that by sharing my story, I can help other potential customers avoid a similar situation.

This company is really outstanding. I had great experience with it because it made it possible for me. We both look forward to achieve our goals and with this company everything is met.

Paid for lessons – tutor unavailable, no refund from Tutoroo

I paid for private English lessons through Tutoroo.co and selected a tutor in Dubai.
After payment, I was informed that the tutor was not available and no suitable replacement could be arranged.

I contacted Tutoroo several times asking for a refund since no lessons were provided, but they refused and stopped responding.

This is unacceptable – the company takes payment in advance but does not guarantee that the tutor is available. I strongly advise others not to trust this platform until they change their refund policy and improve customer support.

I have all payment confirmations and email conversations as proof.

Verdict: Avoid Tutoroo – poor communication, no refund, and unreliable service.
