Seems to have gone downhill
We went for our son's 18th birthday as this had always been his favourite restaurant.
Sadly, it's gone downhill. We all commented that the main meal portion sizes left us hungry, the main courses were largely served cold and the two who ordered chips had to wait for fresh ones to be cooked, also not enough prawns were cooked as their side order with their steaks.
I had salmon (sauce cold) and the rice and peas were overcooked.
Cocktails tasted watered down.
It's a shame as our son went to Turtle Bay in Winchester recently and said the standard there was much better.
Only giving a 3 as the waiting staff were lovely.
Jordan is absolutely rude nasty manager
Jordan is absolutely rude - we took a party of 12 in and he was so disrespectful to us

I went on a Saturday evening with a friend , it was really nice atmosphere they even had a DJ and people playing the saxophone, food was spot on delicious and so was the cocktails it's 2 for 13£ all day which is also great and we was served by the lovely waitress Tanzie 🙂🙂🙂
Lovely experience!
I went to TB Ealing on Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time. The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful along with great food!
Special shout outs to Chanel, Dani and Leo who were very kind and attentive in their service! :)

Very disappointed with the portion size and all the chicken being burnt on top nearly all over the chicken. They forgot one of the portions of rice & peas plus it was cold. When ringing up the restaurant the customer service received was not good either. Contacted the delivery company and they only refunded the rice & peas when they should have replaced or refunded the whole meal. This costs us £60! Not impressed. Think twice if having a delivery from this restaurant 😕

Had an amazing time at Turtle Bay
Had an amazing time at Turtle Bay! The atmosphere was lively, the food was full of flavour, and the service was brilliant. A special shout-out to Ellie, who truly made the experience exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome throughout our visit.
Thanks, Ellie — you made the evening fantastic!
Menu change, fewer vegetarian options.
We've been regulars at the Sheffield restaurant for a couple of years now and have always enjoyed the food. We went yesterday - 15th November, and have to say what a let down the new menu was. You definitely get less food and the vegetarian options are terrible (we don't all like mushrooms) they were so good before the menu change.
Sadly i don't think we'll be visiting as often which is such a shame as it's a fabulous place with a great atmosphere.
Bring back the old menu!
Don’t go there anymore
Turtle bay was me favourite place to go for a bottomless until they reduced the time you get, used to be 2 hours now only hour and a half so I don’t go anymore
I went to Turtle Bay in Ealing and they gave my order to someone else
I went to Turtle Bay in Ealing around 8:30 pm today. I waited five minutes at the door for a member of staff to take my order or offer me a table. However, no one was vigilant enough so in the end I had to go to the bar to order a takeaway. After ordering a curry mutton and rice I was told my order would take ten minutes which I acknowledged. During this time there were up to six members of staff behind the bar. Some were working the others standing around either talking to each other or just staring and looking around as opposed to approaching customers to see if they would like more drinks etc.
I ended up waiting almost thirty minutes and I managed to find a manager to ask him about the delay. He asked me what I ordered and then went to investigate. After a couple of minutes he came back and informed me that a member of staff called Sia had given my order to a delivery driver. He was very apologetic and offered to give me a refund which he did as well as offer the same meal for free. This certainly made up for the error and poor service. However, it is clear that the quality of floor staff that they have needs improving and better staff training is a required in the future to prevent a similar scenario from reoccurring. This aside the managers are generally good and the food exceptional.

I did not like none of the food I payed £26 for fish and it was in a bucket of oil it was not grilled. Very nasty the peas and rice is very rubbery calliou was mixed up with something. That was not good at all. Please people don't waste your money very bad old dirty food. They need to FIRE the chef because he can not cook at all. Very bad cooking services that turtle bay give.
Turtle Bay
Turtle Bay, Oxford. Our waitress was lovely but I have to say that both myself & my friends were very disappointed on how downhill the food has gone with both quality and quantity. It seems the portion sizes have got smaller despite the menu saying they are bigger plates & we were really disappointed that the menu has changed which is not for the better. Where has the Mac & Cheese dish gone which was one of my personal favourites, the jerk corn on the cob as well as Jerk Halloumi & Kingston Fried Chicken? I ended up having a jerk chicken breast which to me had a vinegar taste to it with the Mo'bay Mac, your menu states this is creamy & cheesy with melted cheese, what was served to me was dry and tasteless, could not taste the cheese at all & it certainly wasn't creamy, did not enjoy my food at all. My friend who is Vegan had hardly any choice to choose from & yet it was her that introduced me to the Turtle Bay chain of restaurants due to the choice she had, the rice and peas that she had was nothing more than microwave packet rice again with no taste, it did not have coconut milk, fresh thyme or scotch bonnet as your menu describes. Don't know why on earth you have changed the menu, the food is what used to make the place so inviting and why so many people returned. Everytime I went into one of your venues the place was heaving with people, however, on my recent visit there was only 3-4 tables of people including ours, now I know why! It goes back to the saying if it isn't broken don't fix it, which means that one should not attempt to change, correct, or improve something that is already working correctly. I can't see myself returning not unless the menu goes back to how it used to be, this goes for my friends as well. I'm so disappointed as this used to be one of my favourite places to visit, no matter what town.
Turtle Bay Blackpool 5 Stars
Turtle Bay Blackpool 5 star all the way. Friendly staff, great food & great service
Bottomless brunch, you will be lucky to get a drink.
I would have given my feedback to turtle bay directly if there was anywhere on the site to do this, plus, no follow up survey so not been able to have my say and felt it important to point this out.
Oct 11th booking.
A table was booked for 2pm - 4pm for 6 people for £40.85 bottomless brunch.
On arrival times had been changed and they do not do the 2hrs anymore, but it was honoured as it had been booked before the change.
We were seated behind the bar area and a cocktail order taken.
30 minutes later and nothing and a complaint was made and after 45 minuets we asked for a bottle of prosecco as it would be quicker.
One of the ladies did not drink and just wanted a zero coke but alas even had to wait for that and when she got it, the coke wasn't fizzy, was told not the normal coke, but Jamaican coke!!!.
After seeing our waitress go to another table 3 times with drinks while we were still waiting. We called her across and another order was taken.
After around an hour another waiter brought the drinks (hurray). Alas it was the 2nd order and not the first.
The lady who wanted just a diet coke let us all have a drink. It was totally flat and tasted awful (no fizz and to me tasted of syrup). She raised it with the manager, and he said it was Jamaican coke, so we asked what other diet no alcoholic drinks they had. No one got back so she spent all afternoon with no drink. She decided a game of dominos but a lot missing.
They did extend our time for us which was a good job as we had not even eaten. At least the food was good.
Just after eating a tray of glasses dropped behind one if my team and glass everywhere. Someone came round with brush and pan. As I turned round to look at all the broken glass she sucked her teeth and asked what my problem was. In reply I just said well there is a lot of glass under my chair and table and she just walked off. Another lady came whom I assumed was a manager to see what the problem was to which I shown her the glass under my chair and table and explained no apology was given. She apologised and started picking the glass up by hand which was very worrying.
The moment she had walked away another load of glasses smashed behind my friend sat next to me. Straight away the manager came over, and someone came to sweep it up. She just said sorry and it happens all the time. I just replied looks like a health and safety issue.
I was relieved we had to move to another seat as the next people had come for their booking. As we moved a tongue in cheek comment from behind the bar.
We then managed to get a couple of cocktails and the waitress apologised.
We did only have to pay new price £36.00 due to the lack of cocktails, service etc.
My overall verdict very poor
Over worked staff (They were all working flat out) more staff were needed for peak times.
Health and Safety issues
Bad attitudes
Standard of drinks poor. (people on another table offering us a drink that they could not drink as it didn't taste good)
The only excuse for all this was change of menu. We checked and looked like it was only the times and price that seemed to have changed.
(Afraid a little too slow for us)
If you are Gay and visually impaired don’t go
Awful experience tonight in Southampton. We decided to go to Turtle Bay for drinks only and we got turned away.
Two bouncers by the entrance asked us did we have a table reservation and we said no. We are only here for drinks.
They didn't give us a reason why we weren't allowed in.
My partner and I are a lesbian couple and my partner is visually impaired and had her white cane in her hand and I wear hearing aids in both ears.
We feel this was discrimination against us.

Sharing Set Menu confusion
We have used Turtle Bay in the past many times and each time have had enough to eat for a decent price. The new menu they have introduced is very confusing when it comes to the sharing set menu. We ordered the classic and thought it'd cost £29.90 for the two of us. In fact when bill arrived we were surprised to see a charge of £59.80! The 9 assortiments of the classic added together would be around £63, saving you a mere £3? What'd be then the point of ordering such a costly menu when you may well pick smaller individual plates for much less?
Either set a lower price for such a large dish or offer the sharing old one which you had for £33 but at least would feed two for half the cost!

We waited 45/50 mins for our meal despite us telling them we were going to see a show. Unfortunately, when the food arrived it was inedible. The Mac and cheese tasted really strange, almost like vomit and all the dishes were greasy and lacked flavour. We ordered the classic sharing platter but it came without any of the main meat dishes (goat curry and chicken). The restaurant itself was so understaffed and I felt sorry for the waiter who gave us discount when we complained.

Fantastic service from James the manager. Food was great, cocktails were great, what more can I say Annabelle who served us was lovely. No wonder we come here when we come to Blackpool! I would recommend Turtle Bay Blackpool to everyone!
Cold food and Poor taste
I wish I could just place a picture of my food on here..
