SCAM

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE - RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, SENT DCDC CONVERTER FOR REPAIR, WAS TOLD IT WAS PERFECT AND NOT THE ISSUE, WENT DOWN ALL OTHER ROUTES COSTING THOUSANDS - INSTALLED A NEW ONE AND FIXED IMMEDIATELY. THEN, WILL NOT OFFER A REFUND UNLESS I SPEND MORE MONEY TO SHIP IT BACK FOR THEM TO RE TEST AND WOULD NOT COVER COSTS AND AGAIN REFUSED REFUNDS. VERY RUDE ON THE PHONE AND HUNG UP. WILL NOT ALLOW A DROP OFF IN PERSON AND TEST WHILE I WAIT EITHER.

Friendly, honest garage

We used Turners as we had an issue with our Range Rover evoque and were recommended them as a Land Rover specialist. We had previously used another garage, who couldn’t detect any problem therefore we drove away and the engine warning light came straight back on after only a few miles. The service we received from Elliot was above and beyond what we expected. He also has a lovely, friendly manner about him which made us feel instantly comfortable. The car was brought in at 9am, problem diagnosed and fixed by 10.30! We thought it would at least have to stay in and we’d be without a car a few days. Elliot explained fully what the issue was, as well as how to avoid it happening in future, which my partner and I really appreciated! He took into consideration the waiting time, and inconvenience we’d experienced previously and turned our worry into a resolution! Thanks so much, we’ll be back for our service and MOT.

Ten out of Ten for being rude and aggressive

My name is Jasper Gilder and I am a training consultant with 38 years experience of training in Customer Care. – I know my business, having a string of blue chip clients

I have been using Turners Garage for work on my J reg Range Rover for about two years, they have a list of jobs to be done and told me in 2023 my vehicle would be booked in as soon as their ‘project ramp’ was available. Sadly after two years, the call has never come, but the work they have done to get the car through MOT has been exemplary and it has never failed under their care

Today – Wed 12 March I had a booking for a 9.00 AM MOT. The car has done little mileage since last year as my wife was taken seriously ill last April and passed away in September and my heart wasn’t in it. On Saturday I purchased a new battery and got the car running and also identified a couple of issues which an experienced technician could easily fix so I rang on Monday and offered to bring the car down a day earlier if it would help. I was asked by a very rude person if I thought they had no work to do, I explained that I was just trying to be helpful but it seemed that I was not being listened to

So this morning I arrived at 8.35AM and moved a road cone to access their parking area (there are terraced houses opposite so I guess they put them out to stop the locals parking) there is a sign saying authorised parking only – I guessed this does not apply to customers. Their premises were locked up so there was no-one to ask

At 8.50AM a chap with specs opened the door and started ranting at me to move my car as he hadn’t told me I could park there. The only other place was over the road and requires a residents parking permit which of course I don’t have. When I pointed this out the gentleman said that it was not his problem and went on to shout he wouldn’t be working on my car. He hadn’t said ‘Please’ at any stage which I did politely point out to him

So I moved the car and went back, giving him some time to cool off a bit and at 9.10 spoke to him through the workshop door as the office was still locked. I told him why I had done what I had done and whilst he appeared to listen, he still told me he would not work on my car because he said I had been rude, he went on to say that all our conversations had been video and audio recorded, obviously without prior notice or my permission. He said he would never work on my car ever again and that he had cancelled my MOT appointment, he would not tell me who it was with so I was unable to call them to apologise. He clearly doesn’t seem to need the work and seems perhaps, to have too many customers. All this because I moved a road cone!!

It was obvious that I was going to make no progress with this and it was too cold to stay so I returned home and rang him to inform him that he does not have my permission to use whatever recordings he has made and this note confirms that

So to be clear we have

1 – Breach of Contract (he was contracted to do an MOT on my car and refused)

2 – Incitement to commit an offence (park your car in a residents area – not my problem)

3 – Unauthorised video and audio recording

I’m fascinated to know if I will get an apology for this egregious behaviour.

I sent a copy of the above to Turners on 12 March There has been no contact and no apology.

In all my very extensive experience of customer service, the man who spoke to me is one of the ten rudest people I have ever encountered and has no place being allowed to talk to customers

Good honest garage

Visited Marks garage this morning and he very quickly diagnosed a fault that 3 other garages had failed to do. So grateful for such good honest service, would recommend to everyone.

Jaguar diagnosed and repaired quickly.

My 2016 Jaguar went to Turner Diagnostics for an engine light, the problem was found very quickly, they ordered the parts and asked me to return the car on the following Monday. Repair was completed in just 2 hours whilst I waiting in the local McDonalds.
They are very knowledgeable about all brands of cars and seem to know their stuff.
The car has been great since then, much smoother, faster and most important no engine light.
Thank you very much.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS GARAGE

DO NOT EVER USE THIS GARAGE. STAY AWAY.
I took my car for a tune up and timing to be adjusted as it had a slight misfire. They agreed ot was a timing issue. Simple job eh? Drove it out of the garage to home (3 Miles) The car died in the middle of the road. I called back to explain what happened and he simply said "Not my problem" Must have been another fault on the car. Please, please, please, NEVER EVER USE THIS GARAGE. They're complete cowboys with seriously limited knowledge.

Far from specialists

Told them to do some work on My car, They Said They Did. After 2 days the car started running worse and when I asked them about it they told me they actually did something else. Waste of my time and money (a lot of money). Don’t recommend.

Simply Fantastic. Great customer service. Showed me pic's of faults and kept replaced faulty components to review on collection. Very thorough. Range Rover is driving absolutely sweet and on the button.

In my 30+ years’ experience of owning…

In my 30+ years’ experience of owning cars I was encouraged that it is was difficult to book an appointment at short notice. These guys are booked for a reason i.e. they have a longstanding good customer base.

I have a 23 year-old P38 (Range Rover) which has had significant problems with the computer failing, engine immobilising, keys not working remotely, a/c not working. I drove two hours and arrived early. I was met by Elliot who opened the garage that day. He and a colleague worked on it and the whole job was done by 11.51 (I know as I was in Sainsbury’s when he called me and I checked the time).

Fantastic service in every respect. I also saw several other fine classic cars there thus quite clearly there are lots or people who are very happy for Elliot and team to work on their prized possessions.

They have my business now going forwards without doubt.

I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience. I first used Turners for a stage 1 map and dealt with Elliot, which was fine.

I then wanted to go stage 2 so I ended up dealing with Eric. He gave me conflicting advice over the phone, there was generally a lack of care and knowledge from him and then when I arrived on the day after pre arranging it all and booking the day off work I met Eric. He was so rude and told me there was no point in putting an intercooler on (he told me to buy the intercooler before tuning on the phone then denied he did saying that he speaks to loads of ppl on the phone) or tuning the car further. It was a painful experience and I ended up going to another tuner - life’s too short to spend time arguing with people that don’t care and there are lots of decent people out there that do care!

I went to another tuner the next day and got fantastic results despite Eric’s claims of remapping it will make no difference. At some points in the Rev range I got over a 90bhp increase which is amazing.

I would avoid these guys. I can’t imagine what it would be like if you had a problem as I was trying to spend money with them!!

If you look on google there are a lot of reviews along the same tune as this (pretty much the same scenario as me). Shame as they are local but never again for me!

Simply dreadful in every way

Simply dreadful. Reading their web site you'd imagine they were professional and competent. Arrived on time for a days mapping / tuning on my P38 Range Rover to be greeted from the start by two rude and aggressive people. When i enquired about the mapping process i was treated with ridicule, but i'd driven up from London and taken a day off work so i tried to reset the conversation explaining my background and experience in such things from 15 yrs in amateur motorsport. To no avail. The younger guy walk off eaving me with the grumpy older man. He then made a series of infantile comments about my car's LPG installation which demonstrated nothing other than what a buffoon he was. It was quite clear they were not the people their web site portrays. Their customer service was non existent and i doubt they have half the knowledge they claim. Certainly a garage to avoid at all costs. It seems, having read other reviews elsewhere i am not the first to come to this conclusion.

Rude and unhelpful

Last week I bought an old Range Rover from a private add. The car had extensive service history including an exchange engine from Turner Diagnostics in 2016.
I like to get as much history as I can about my cars and wanted advice on oil etc so at first I sent and email to Eric Turner.
This was late last night and give him his due he replied within half an hour. The reply however was very defensive asking what evidence do I have that they supplied the engine??
Anyway I wrote back including pictures of their receipt and warranty. He started going on about failed MOTs in the past and recommends I bring the car in for a safety check.
I am 300 miles away so that isn’t going to happen.
This morning I rang him for the advice about the car as he said and I quote “there is a lot of information for this vehicle”
To be honest I have never been talked to in such a rude aggressive and unhelpful manner. He said I was wasting his time wanting free information and said I was being abussive!!!!!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying even a nut a bolt from this company!!?

Turner website misleading

What an amazing website Turner Diagnostics, if you read all the information regarding their technical know how there is no other place on earth to take your vehicle. Having spoke to them regarding my Range Rover which had a problems including a DPF warning code stored in the scan history. I was advised over the phone that if the main dealer Land Rover could not fix the fault they referred the vehicles to Turner Diagnostic for their expertise.
Acting on this info I booked my Range Rover Sport. On arrival I was asked what was the problem, I then informed them of the ongoing problems I have had since I purchased my RR (only 9 months). I was abruptly stopped in conversation and asked why I booked my car in as they did not want to here the ongoing problems just wanted to hear DPF warning message. It took 1 hour for them to find out what was wrong with the car, without informing me they test drove the car, returning 40 minutes later having driven to Aylesbury and back then back them back onto the ramps to clean the mass air flow sensor with a can of cleaning spray. After a couples of days the same fault came back, this was at the time lockdown just started so I was unable to return my car, I sent them a couple of text message asking for advice but no reply.
After lockdown (coronavirus) I took my RR to a dealer who looked at the car history codes and replaced the Intake Valve LR078546
Do not read their website, it is a total waste of time.
If they looked at the code history with there Land Rover diagnostic scanner and using the technical back up from Range Rover the problem would have had been sorted straight a way as it is a known problem.

Just don't go here - go anywhere else but here.

Where do I start?
The first contact with Turner didn't go well, he was opinionated and talked down to me (I'm an ex Jag/Landrover engineer). This didn't deter me, often brilliant people are really bad at the personal touch, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But in this instance first impressions turned out to be correct.
He promised a 48hr turnaround of my ECU. 2 weeks (and many unanswered emails and phone messages later) I finally got him on the phone. he guaranteed that it would be sent out in the next 2 days.
This was the only truth he spoke - it was in fact sent the next day.
He also said that the unit would be fully repaired and tested, that it would be sent by tracked and insured mail, and I would get a VAT receipt. None of this happened.
When I asked for the tracking number - he refused to give it to me, stating the complete lie "there are no tracked services out of the UK".
The unit (A body control unit / fusebox) didn't work on installation - there were a total of 15 blown fuses in it. So - it wasn't tested before shipping.
There was no VAT receipt included.
Also, his website says "Jaguar accredited workshop". Jaguar have confirmed that Turner Diagnostics have no accreditation whatsoever.
SO, this guy is an out and out liar - there are other companies that can do this work - in spite of his claims that he is the only one doing it.... Save yourself the pain of exposure to this guy, and go somewhere else.

SPECIALISTS No way are they

SPECIALISTS . I do not think so. After completing the online form they asked for info as registration mark. Then how long i had owned the unit which is from new 16 yrs. later an email arrived "sorry we do not work on that model of car". Its the very basic model 1300 cc petrol. i guess the faults listed being overfueling frienghtend them, I am sure they only charge for the diagnostic work and then if a quick fix go ahead. I may have spoilt the situation by saying another garage failed. I went to them as stated SPECIALISTS.
