Terrible customer service, quality of product and delivery time.

I ordered x2 large lavenders (20-40cm) [20 euros each], x2 1 meter jasmines, pots and soil from this company. I didn't receive any delivery notice for 2 weeks so I started sending emails asking when I would know about delivery. I just received a standard email back after a week saying the were busy because of the pandemic and that I would have them soon. After 4 weeks I sent another email - same response. After 5 week I sent an email asking for my money back - but I just got the same response saying that they were busy and that I would soon be informed of delivery [they ignored my refund request]. I sent another email asking directly for a refund again and got no response. Then a couple of days later my products arrived. 2 half dead lavenders (15cm talk - one stem on one of them 40cm tall), two 80cm tall half dead jasmines. The lavenders are so pathetic they would cost a couple of euros in a supermarket - my husband, whose parents own a garden centre in the UK, was livid. Calls these people thieves.

Everything Ok!

I was a bit worried about the bad reviews and long waiting times, but I ordered two plants and two pots last Sunday and received them 2 days later! Everything was in order with appropriate packaging. My experience was positive and I would buy again from this place (prices are also good).

The plant that I bought was packed…

The plant that I bought was packed carefully and arrived safely. Also I received a different plant but the costumer service replied very quickly and they sent me the other plant in a very short time. I'm satisfied with this experience.

Very bad experience with the services

First, their delivery was incomplete. Secondly, some of the items have been in very poor quality. And worst, their client service have returned back to me only once, and never delivered the missing items and they were very reluctant to understand how bad were some plants even though I sent the pictures. Great website but very bad experience. I lost a lot of money and I am not considering to buy from here again.

A must to avoid

A must to avoid

Plants of miserable quality: useless
Packing: worse than inadequate
Delivery: more than a week later than promised

Do not buy ANYTHING here

Do not buy ANYTHING here. Probably you will wait for the delivery until next summer.
I ordered several things and on the website, there was information, that my order will be delivered on the 9th of April. On the 8th of April, I received an email that they are very busy at the moment and they will let me know when they will be able to deliver it. (amazing, yeah)
Since that time I did not hear anything about it. I tried to call them, but they just say "oh, we do not know when we will get all the parts of your order, but we will let you know". Week passed. I'm going to get my money back, but I'm not even sure anymore, that it is possible. It seems, that this company can not be trusted and they definitely do not deserve your money.

A little story of Tuincentrum.nl

Good day to you, stranger! Here is a little story about my interaction with Tuincentrum.nl. Hope it will be useful to ye.

Act 1
On one fine evening in the midst of July I suddenly had an urge to have a bunch of plants on my balcony. So I have rushed to the Interwebs and stumbled upon the Tuincenter. They looked like a respectable establishment. And they had Saturday delivery service, what a joy for a full-time worker like myself! With no further ado, I have made my order and scheduled it to the next Saturday.

Act 2
Come next Saturday. I free up my day, decline all appointments, and place myself on a sofa to wait for my precious plants to arrive.
By 4 o'clock afternoon I start to have my doubts.
A quick call by the means of telephone has solved my doubts. "You see, the plants arrived damaged", they said. "We could not ship them this way, so we rescheduled the delivery for Tuesday".
What an unfortunate accident! However, accidents happen, right? Only I wish I was notified earlier. Having supressed my annoyance, I have rescheduled the delivery to the next Saturday. After all, I still have to work for the man.

Act 3
Come August, a wonderful warm mounth. And with it come the next Friday. And with it come the email to my mailbox: "Due to extreme crowds, your order is delayed. We expect to be able to deliver your order within 1 to 3 working days."
So I use all my artistic skill and fancy words to compose a suitable response. "1 to 3 days is not an option", I write. "I work these days", I remind. "I requested a delivery to a given day for a reason". Finally, I give them a new date at the end of the month.
(Why the end of the month, you might ask? You see, my gracious reader, August has tempted me to go to places far away, looking to relieve my withered soul from its worries and troubles. A fine process dubbed "vacation". But more of that some other time)

Act 4 (a short one)
Tuincentrum has sent me yet another email, notifying me that they have rescheduled the delivery of my long-suffering plants to the date of my vacation. Having no faith remaining in humanity anymore, I refrained from any further explanation and simply repeated my earlier request for a date.

Act 5
Come September. More than a month has passed from my original order. The other plants on my balcony started to turn red, and yellow, and brown. The nature turns quiet, preparing for the inevitable march of Autumn.
But wait, what is this sound? This is ringing of my mobile telephone! It's tuincentrum employee telling me that once again, they cannot deliver my order on an agreed date. Void of all hope, I request a cancellation of the order. The employee on the other end of the line seems relieved.
The first leaf falls from its mother tree and softly touches the ground.

Act 6
End of September approaches. The flora specimen I desired for so long have long been aquired elsewhere. However, one thing seems missing. It is a refund on my bank account. Restless, I once again compose the mail to Tuincentrum. "this refund will be completed by the end of this week", they reply. Somehow I am not relieved.

Act 7 (and the last one)
Come October. I think you can agree with me, my dear reader, that past October has been the nicest and the mellowest in the last couple of years. There is just one thing that keeps me unsatisfied. You got it - my refund has not arrived yet. My last electronic letter to Tuincentrum remains unanswered. I do not want this ridiculously long interaction to burden me anymore. I open a case on PayPal. Within a couple of weeks, my money is reimbursed. The whole story lasted for a whole quarter year.

So what does this little story teach us?
1. Do not rely on Tuincentrum's "saturday delivery" offer;
2. In fact, do not rely on Tuincentrum delivering on an agreed date at all;
3. Always pay by PayPal, in case you want your money back.

Thank you for you attention, my dear reader. May your journeys be safe, and your shopping pleasurable.

Good service, plant condition should be better

It was easy to navigate on the website and there are some nice tips on which products and supplements to buy for each kind of plant. The delivery happened at the scheduled time. The only thing I was disappointed about is that the plants did not have an outstanding look. The musa (banana tree) pot was very dry and it has brown tips on the leaves. The sansevieria pot was also dry and the leaves were scratched. Had I the chance to pick the plants myself, these would not have been my choice, hence, the 3 stars review.

They should deliver on Saturday…

They should deliver on Saturday (already longer waiting than normal, 4 days!, nowadays its normal to deliver next day!). Tried to phone them, no reply, no reply on mail and its late afternoon, and reading the other replies on the Internet, I think this is a kind of malafide company and I don't think the delivery will be made today.
If you can't handle your stuff, first get it sorted out!
I want a refund of my money. I already informed Paypal.

NO time of delivery mail ????

I was supposed to get a mail day before the delivery to let me know what time the items would be delivered, but didn’t receive any mail. Then started calling the Klientservice number since morning and left messages but no responce, called a lot of times since had no idea what time the items would be delivered, had a very busy day but all got cancelled because I had no idea what time the things will come and finally it was delivered between 3 and 4 p.m.

Got not what I ordered

Order TC-078701
The worst experience I've had with this store. I was in search of the Spathiphyllum 'Sensation' and found it here at a reasonable price. 15 euros for the plant 40-60cm. In addition to the plant, I ordered several types of fertilizer. Preparation of the order took almost a week. Thanks to postnl my order was in road 24h.
Opening the box, I just could not speak! The plant was lying like a rag among other objects! Without any packaging! Completely crushed! And to my great regret this plant is not a Spathiphyllum 'Sensation'! The plant has a minimum size of 40cm !with the pot! This is the usual overpriced spathiphyllum which is sold at every corner!
In addition, they made a mistake with packaging with fertilizer. Instead of 5kg of cow dung for my fruit bushes, I received 5 kg of fertilizer for a decorative garden, which I absolutely do not need.
I wrote the complaint by e-mail, but as with other clients, I did not receive any reply.
If I return the goods, I will simply lose my money.
Vicious circle.
Do not order more in this store!
