I had a shocking experience with Tucows Inc..

My domains — built over years with strong SEO value — were unlawfully sold without my consent. I suddenly lost control of critical digital assets that represented years of work, investment, and business development.

This is not speculation: a criminal court judgment has confirmed that this conduct was unlawful, with findings consistent with misappropriation.

The damage is enormous. Years of SEO positioning, online reputation, and business infrastructure were effectively destroyed.

What is even more alarming is the complete lack of accountability: despite repeated requests, I received no meaningful support, no real explanations, and no concrete solution.

This goes far beyond a bad customer experience. It is a confirmed serious case.
Do not trust this provider with valuable domains.

I miei domini — costruiti in anni di lavoro con forte valore SEO — sono stati venduti illegalmente senza il mio consenso. Ho perso improvvisamente il controllo di asset digitali fondamentali che rappresentavano anni di investimenti, posizionamento e sviluppo della mia attività.

Non è un’opinione: una sentenza penale ha accertato che questa condotta è illecita, con profili riconducibili all’appropriazione indebita.

Il danno è enorme. Anni di posizionamento SEO, reputazione online e lavoro sono stati di fatto distrutti.

Ancora più grave è stata la totale assenza di responsabilità: nonostante ripetuti tentativi, non ho ricevuto assistenza reale, spiegazioni adeguate né soluzioni concrete.

Non si tratta di una semplice recensione negativa, ma di un caso grave accertato da un tribunale.

Tucows was our registrar for our domain. When our domain reseller went out of business, I needed their support to release the domain for a transfer as the reseller was not contactable.

To my disappointment, Tucows turned out to be uncontactable as well. I first created a compliance ticket as directed on their website, only receiving an automated receipt email. After that attempt, I tried their phone system. None of the options allow customers of their resellers to even leave a message. After contacting ICANN to confirm that Tucows, as our registrar, was required to help, I left two messages on voicemails of random employees by using letters of last names and the phone directory. No response. Then I tried contacting their in-house reseller, Hover. The rep was very helpful, but could only recommend submitting a compliance ticket, (again) so I did. No response. So in desperation, I used their Facebook page to try to shame them into helping with the truth.

At that point it was nearing Christmas, and our domain was now out of service, so I decided to wait until the new year to see if they would respond. They finally did on January 6, over a month after the initial ticket.

Then they didn't respond to my DM for another week so I posted on their Facebook page again, and went one step further to find any employee through linked-in with a public or accessible-to-me profile, sending them a message on their personal webpage begging for them to help escalate.

Finally today, I got action and immediately transferred our domain to a new reseller and registrar.

Never again.

Had an email, Checking the email domain comes back as tucows.net, Sent email to abuse and it bounced back.Checking here and a large number reports scams.

If I could give this company a minus everything I would. Should be shit down!

Ignored all communication. Numerous emails, calls, online forms, social media.

They are supporting scammer to use their services of infect they are the scammers, created an abuse but what they did they just registered my account after collecting data and did nothing.

They neither responded to my report nor took any action, even though the domain is very clearly involved in fraud without any room for doubt.

It is very clear that Tucows facilitates their business to scammers. The website www-kattenbed.com is registered with Tucows and cheats their customers. You place an order, you pay and then you receive nothing. It is almost unimaginable that a reputable company like Tucows gets involved in criminal behavior of their users. In fact, when you report it to Tucows, they react nonchalantly. Therefore, I can conclude with conviction that Tucows is just as bad as the internet scammer.

Seems like siteground use tucows to manage domains, otherwise I'd have avoided them.
My domain is currently suspended even though I've supplied all my ID. Both siteground and nominet have been very helpful but it seems tucows just ignore requests.
Awful company surprised they're allowed to trade in the UK.

To be honest, I don't even understand how my domain ended up with tucows during what I thought was a bog standard DNS transfer, the process of sorting it out has been so complicated. I have raised about 5 different support tickets with them over the last 12 months and was consistently ignored. I had some success in contacting opensrs support to try and understand what I needed to do to remove the domain from tucows, but my support tickets remained ignored until I commented on their public instagram, when I then finally received a dm back and my tickets were replied to (I wasn't requiring any serious troubleshooting/support - I just needed a password reset link sent out again). Try and avoid this company if you can.

I had a terrible experience with Tucows and feel it's important to warn others. My domain was supposed to be transferred to Shopify, but somehow ended up with Tucows without my consent. Since then, it's been a nightmare. Tucows provides no actual service, they ignore emails and never respond to phone calls. It feels like they are holding my domain hostage.

What’s worse, my hosting provider (Squarespace) has been of no help, leaving me stuck in this mess. Tucows is making it impossible for me to access or manage my domain, and I’m getting no support from either company.

If you're thinking of using Tucows or working with any company that collaborates with them, be very careful. Their practices are shady, and customer service is nonexistent. I’ll be raising a formal complaint and reporting this, but in the meantime, I hope this review helps others avoid the same disaster.

Fraudsters have an easy game with this company, the tickets via the Report Abuse form are not processed so that the websites remain online and other people suffer financial damage.

You are among the worst, hopefully something will be done about it

I have just filed a complaint with ICANN, anyone who has had a similar experience can also file a complaint.

I emailed Tucows 7 days ago regarding a problem with our Domain name. Still no reply. I think they must have gone bust. Do not think about wasting your time with them. I would not recommend

Very bad server and service. The server is always down, can't access website and emails. Just Small WP website is too slow on this server.

The people who are scamming you guys are Kyle and Sarah Snyder from Dale Cushing Ok Kyle used to work at mears broadband and quit over a year ago but he does the infrastructure for all the fiber lines for all of the phones, internet, cable pretty much anything fiber. His wife Sarah is a notary and she designs websites and they both have IT backgrounds and they have stolen my identity and impersonated me, taken over all of my social media accounts bank accounts, phone numbers and accounts, over 500 in fact and over 500 emails addresses and apple ids, stolen all my money, hacked into over 25 total devices in a year and a half...and parental controlled everything. They hacked, tracked, blocked and stalk me though my maps, emails, spoofed my numbers intercepted all of my texts, calls,emails,internet,wifi, Bluetooth, apple music apps, firmware and software,and I sent the proof to apple and that's the reasoning for the lastvbreach they came out with bc I proved they had a breach. They even use devices they illegally obtained under my bfs and my own name on our accounts without our knowledge or consent, hacked into our security cameras through our emails, hacked my job at acehardwarein 2023 you can look it up and I'm sure you all remember the workday app issues with logging in ....yup you guessed right them ...I used that to clock in and out at ace harware when I worked there it was the one in Arkansas City, KS, check it out all in 2023 both ace, workday, even the city in ark city, we had turned in several different devices to ark city pd and they were sent to whichta, ks. I've been trying to reach out for over a year trying to get any repo to or answers on my devices or if I can get them back they read the messages on messenger no response and I gave up for a while but recently Ive tried again the day after I attempted to the very next day it came across the news whichta was ransomware attack too.I have been completely humiliated, disregarded, disrespected, belittled, labeled mentally unstable and denied along side my children our constitutional rights to be protected and more just trying to prove this but they even followed me with drones.Kyle is my ex husband and he abused our daughter and I was given custody and ever since I've been getting retaliated against well before that apparently it goes way back I'm finding out now but since given custody it's went way beyond psychotic and the stalking has become their obsession....he suffers from malicious parent syndrome in my opinion, we've had a huge custody battle since 2011 and still currently loo him up on odcr, the judge too is involved acting as the active judge, and the active lawyer for Kyle, Kyle's best friend..Richard mantooth used to work at a police dept in Tecumseh, Ok and left idk why but worked for the pott co, Ok tribals and was let go and arrested for human trafficking and even though the news clips stated that DHS said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen and had evidence backing all the way to 2016 rick walked......how?? Kyles uncle is a vet @a clinic in Shawnee, Ok his name is Michael steward sexually harassed his female employees one even being underage the age in fact that my daughter was when I was given custody... the age of 12 yet still mike walked......why?? Rick is apparently friends with the investigators from the first initial place we started the reporting and that too seems fishy bc one investigator claimed we only gave them one but we gave them 2 flashdrives full of my evidence they claimed I picked them up but we have to sign them in and out and the lobby is recorded 24/7 and I never did and he claimed there was no evidence only adult natured stuff they shouldn't be seeing ...1how tf did my evidence on the flash drives disapear and 2 how did adult natured pics of myself end up on the flash drives?? Then they lied and proceeded to claim that I had picked them up?? Um 1 no I never did I was embarrassed and humiliated over the adult natured comments and confused as to how so I sent my bf to pick them up and we kept getting the run around every time he went up there or we called, eventually the contact completely came to a stop and that tells me that they either lost, or stole my flash drives.....and I never got reports on them and 2 I turned in several phones to another investigator at which I too never got reports on even after being told by that investigator that the phones had been embedded with some forensics software that tracks, locates, and records everythrough the screen, cameras and speakers 24/7 even if its off supposedly but he again too would not give me my reports yet again causing three diff denials of my protective orders. I linked them to the carriers, apple, Hillcrest,integris and a sheriff and his entire dept in Durant ok it's on fb in October...there is an ACTIVE FBI INVESTIGATION IN DURANT!!

Totally useless service. For some reason when we set up our new websites the existing domain host transferred it to TUCOWS as the new registrar.
One month later we are still waiting for the transfer to take place!
We have tried to reach TUCOWS but without any success.
TUCOWS response has been TOTALLY non existent and we can not understand their existence as a registrar.
Totally useless service.
