If they are experts at anything, it's denying claims!

The best thing I can say about this company is that I've been less stressed out patrolling in Afghanistan than I have been trying to get a claim approved through TruNorth Warranty.

Everything sounds good at the dealership, but what they fail to mention is that their horrible approval rate (25% or less) from adjudicators that believe they are more knowledgable than the Northwest Paccar MX senior engineers.

Don't get me wrong, I have had the occasional claim approved. But for a majority of the claims the issues were either non-covered components (they will be sure to ask any and all questions to service departments in order to lead them into suggestion the cause of failure was related to a non-covered component, despite what was covered on the technicians notes) or covered components that they felt weren't addressed in time (despite the manufacturers advice).

There is a reason major fleets choose to purchase new equipment and stick with the manufacturers warranty, similar to the Cummins 5yr/500,000 warranty, and then cut losses and let start up owner/operators like myself learn the hard way about the aftermarket warranty scheme. Luckily I learned my lesson and will be moving on from TruNorth!

I would give it negative 5 stars if possible.
I knew these warranties were scam but it was condition to get lease on my truck, so I took it(which was also probably a scam for payout)
COMPLETE GARBAGE. DO NOT PURCHASE!!
PLAIN ROBBERY.
Truck was down 2 weeks waiting for them to waste dealers time, sending codes, explaining failure, etc.
Only to claim it wasn't covered. After 17 days.
Crooks and thieves.
STAY AWAY, YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WARRANTY

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WARRANTY, DO NOT GET THIS ONE, PERIOD....They will look for any reason not to cover what they are supposed to, you will wait days and lose loads sitting at a garage while waiting around playing email tag with them, then they will ask for maintenance records, pictures of the said part so make sure before you do anything you take pictures or they deny it...I am working with multiple dealerships and truck drivers to go after them...I have two lawyers and two investigators working on this for me to put these guys out..........I have a group with 32,000 members and WE ARE TAKING YOU DOWNNNNN......GOOD BYE TRUNORTH....

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER...
NEVER BUY IT.
My truck showed fault code for injector cylinder #4, So I took it to the Freightliner repair facility. They changed the MCM(which was covered under the warranty) after which code was gone.
When they did the diagnosis again they just found out random problems(like DOC Module, DPF and all 6 cylinders), which were never there, and I never got any code about them. They said everything including MCM going to cost $19,098.
I asked trunorth to pay for MCM($2900) only, I will get the other repairs from the local repair facility.
But they said that they can't pay if I don't get the other repairs done first.
They just try any way for not covering the warranty.
After wasting my 2 weeks, leaving my work worth $700/per day, I just took my truck out of the facility only with the MCM replaced and paid out of my pocket even though that was covered under the warranty.
When I showed my truck to other facility for the other issues that Freightliner mentioned, they told me that there is no issue.
I am still driving my truck perfectly fine, there was no issue.
It's just these kind of companies which make people fool and take profit from them.
BEWARE OF THEM.
In short, I wasted my money in buying this warranty, then wasted my time in expecting them to cover the damage.
Totally BS.

# 3 injector solenoid failed

# 3 injector solenoid failed

They denied claim said was due to corrosion / rust.

The authorized shop who preformed the work sent them pictures and a statement explaining the failed injector would not be caused by rust and or corrosion.

It is a fully electronic injector the rust cannot cause an internal failure.

I followed and provided all required documentation set by Tru North

They very deceptive and dishonest

Guys, stay away from this misleading company. They just denied my claim for deferential repairs. I have to fix it cash. They always find breach to deny what their own agreement should cover. They very deceptive and dishonest. Wish to give them zero star.

I have been communicating with them for over a week regarding my DPF issues. Finally they say it is not under coverage.
I asked them their contact in Toronto and will go through Legal process.
I also suggest other folks not to get this warranty. It looks like complete scam.

Fraudulent Denial of Claims(Breach of Contract)

I recently bought a truck and my dealership actually added their warranty as a package.I was not too excited because i had heard too many horror stories.
The check engine light came on and i did as instructed and took it to a certified and reputable dealer.
I was shocked when I was told i would be charged for the diagnostic check.I didnt mind that.
I was told there were a few things that needed changing. The repair shop took pictures and semd in a claim..and i was told those are non covered parts.I didnt care,i made arrangements and told the repair shop i would be paying for them.
Last Thursday morning 10/3 I got a call from repair facility telling me that the DPF Filter failed, and that a claim and verifiable proof had been sent in.On Friday i got a call from an employee/adjudication informing me that my DPF was not covered because a non covered part had caused it to fail.He said the DPF gasket.HE said he had confirmed this with the service manager of my repair shop and technician.(I have it all documented).I immediately called my certified diesel mechanic friend to confirm this.He basically told me 2 things.
A DPF gasket could not cause a DPF to fail. There is no way any tech can make such a statement because there are too many possible situations that could cause the failure.

So I called my repair shop and the service Manager confimed to me that what had been claimed by the Tru North Warranty employee had been false statement. The service manager also sent an email back to them stating that their reason for denying was based on a false statement.
I am currently in talks with my lawyer regarding this particular case.I was instructed to find atleast 10 more people who have had such experiences so a report can be officially filed with the relevant federal authorities. If anyone has had such experiences withbthis company ,please feel free to reach out to me at 607 2165055.
As a write this my truck is still sitting at the repair shop losing close to $800 a day and I have payments coming up....while they play games with my livelihood.Sign up at own risk.Hopefully you have learnt from my story

Worst warranty company Ive dealt with…

Worst warranty company Ive dealt with in over 20 years running trucks.. They are plain and simple a predatory company. Im initiating a lawsuite in California to force a refund of cost based on evidence of a pattern of behavior showing they did not enter the agreement in good faith. Their intention from the start was to delay and deny claims until the owner just gives up!
